The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1252: Chapter 1252: The Situation on the Meng Family’s Side

”My dad used to run an escort agency. For the past ten years, he has been hiding from Gong Qiu and didn’t dare to show his face openly, let alone run an escort agency. Now that everything is settled, he’s still young. If he doesn’t find something to do, he feels it’s meaningless.”

Meng Yunzheng took a sip of water, and his throat didn’t feel as hoarse now, so he continued, ”Originally, he wanted to return to his old profession. Over the years, he’s most skilled at running an escort agency. However, the escort agency in Tianning County has been destroyed. They’ve reopened two new escort agencies over there, and opening another wouldn’t yield good business. As for Jiangyuan County...”

He smiled, ”First, he isn’t familiar here; second, there are already two escort agencies here; third, starting a new escort agency isn’t simple. He doesn’t want to mess around foolishly because running an escort agency isn’t easy. It requires significant initial investment and connections. He said he’s not a young lad anymore, and since I’m grown now and don’t need him to pay for my schooling, he thought he’d simply check out the two escort agencies in the county town. If they’re hiring escorts, he could join and see how it goes.”

Upon hearing this, Shu Yu thought it sounded pretty good.

Running an escort agency demands a lot of effort and stress, especially since Uncle Meng hasn’t been involved in this field for over a decade and isn’t familiar with the current market.

But...

”So, this time you’re returning to the Meng family’s old home, what’s the situation over there?”

They have been busy these days, and Shu Yu hadn’t found a chance to properly ask Meng Yunzheng about this trip out.

Logically, Meng Pei should be the head of the Meng family, but he has been missing all these years, and the Meng family thought he was dead, so the family head became Uncle Meng.

Now, suddenly he has ’come back from the dead’ and returned to the Meng family, who knows what their reaction will be.

Actually, if Meng Pei wanted to work, the Meng family’s escort agency is quite large and wouldn’t exclude him.

Meng Yunzheng saw Shu Yu’s furrowed brows and understood her worries, so he laughed, ”My dad isn’t interested in being the family head. Otherwise, ten years ago, he wouldn’t have handed over the family escort agency to Uncle Meng and run off to Tianning County to open a branch. Uncle Meng manages the Meng family very well, and my dad’s return made him very happy.”

When they appeared at the Meng family, it truly shocked everyone.

Uncle Meng was indeed happy. Meng Pei is his respected older brother, and they had always been very close.

Over these ten years, Gong Qiu wasn’t the only one searching for Meng Pei; Uncle Meng also traveled the south occasionally to inquire about his whereabouts, never believing Meng Pei was dead.

So this return truly made Uncle Meng happy, but only Uncle Meng.

The others, although initially shocked, excited, and thrilled, gradually calmed down and realized that with Meng Pei back, the Meng family’s situation might change, so they became cautious again.

Meng Pei, always a transparent person and not interested in the Meng family’s fortune, openly stated that his return was just to move his wife’s grave to the Meng family ancestral tomb, and he would leave after that.

Originally, because of Gong Qiu, the Meng family didn’t have a good impression of Song Xin.

If he wanted to move someone into the ancestral tomb in the past, it would have taken some effort. Now, hearing he’ll leave after the move, no one stopped them.

Therefore, their return to the Meng family went smoothly.

Meng Yunzheng reestablished his family ties, and after everything was settled, the father and son set off to leave.

Uncle Meng was reluctant to part, but his wife and kids wished they would leave soon. Only after this older brother left would they feel at ease.
