The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1257: Chapter 1257: Hero Saves the Beauty

But that wasn’t all. The old lady immediately started talking about Lanhua’s situation.

“Weren’t we just pretending to go to the blacksmith to get scissors made? And that’s when we met that young man from the Yu family. He’s tall and sturdy, looks very strong and powerful. Lord Yu says he’s fierce, but I think he’s fine.”

Of course, the old lady thought this might be because she’s older and has seen a lot of people, so she’s more composed.

But after Lanhua glanced at him, she immediately lowered her head.

Although she didn’t say she wanted to leave on the spot, the old lady knew she probably wasn’t happy about it.

The old lady sighed, but since they used the excuse of coming to make scissors, it wouldn’t be good to just leave right after meeting, would it? So she sat down and chatted with Yu Fenglin. After chatting, the old lady felt that the young man was good, solid and sincere, and hardworking.

Although he looked a bit fierce, he had a gentle nature.

The old lady chatted while occasionally glancing at Lanhua, but the latter obviously didn’t have much patience.

Lanhua didn’t want to talk much, so she wandered around the courtyard out of boredom.

But this was a blacksmith’s shop, not only were there sharp things, but also very hot furnaces.

Lanhua was careful with her steps, but didn’t pay attention to her hands. When she turned around, she accidentally knocked into a pair of tongs on the furnace. The tongs were half in the fire, and when knocked, they flew straight toward her face.

Lanhua didn’t even have time to react. Yu Fenglin, without a word, rushed up and pushed her out of the way, taking the hit on his arm.

Lanhua was petrified with fear, and the old lady screamed and quickly went over to ask him how he was.

Yu Fenglin waved his hand, he was a blacksmith, and had medicine at home. He went in, tidied up, and bandaged himself up.

Fortunately, though the hit was heavy, the burned area wasn’t large, just a small spot.

But the old lady was still worried. He saved her granddaughter; she couldn’t just pretend nothing happened.

She insisted on taking Yu Fenglin to the nearby clinic, got new medicine to heal the wound, and only then returned.

Lanhua felt guilty and went to apologize to Yu Fenglin with a heavy heart.

Yu Fenglin was clearly upset, but seeing Lanhua’s genuine regret, he had to hold back his anger and scolded her a bit, especially since he had initially warned them not to wander around.

Lanhua obediently accepted the lesson. Later, when she saw Yu Fenglin forging iron again, and noticed his movements weren’t as agile as before, she felt even more remorseful.

The old lady said, “After we left, Lanhua told me that Yu Fenglin looks fierce, but he restrains himself. Even though she made a mistake and he was upset, he didn’t yell at her.”

If he were someone with a violent temper, he might have already scolded her harshly, or even directly hit someone.

Madam Ruan asked, “So does Lanhua think that young man from the Yu family is suitable?”

The old lady shook her head, “I don’t know, she didn’t say. I’ll ask her later.”

However, the next day, when the old lady went to Liufang Alley to find Lanhua after Shuyou returned home, she saw Cuihua with a strange expression saying, “She went to deliver dinner to Young Master Yu.”

The old lady, “…” She suspected she had misheard.

“You said she went to deliver dinner to who?”

Cuihua sighed, “Lanhua said that because Young Master Yu got injured for her, his blacksmithing isn’t as good, and eating is probably a problem too. He’s her savior; she can’t just ignore him.”

The old lady was bewildered: Did the hero save the beauty and now there’s a follow-up?
