The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1139: Chapter 1139: Something Happened to My Young Lady

Ying Xi nodded after listening, quickly circled around from the other side of Wang Jiayi, and climbed over the wall.

Shu Yu quietly waited in place for a moment. Ying Xi then returned the same way, squatted beside her, and whispered, “Miss, it’s done.”

Shu Yu nodded, glanced at Wang Jiayi again, and retreated a long way back.

Then she gave a signal to Ying Xi, who immediately shouted loudly, “Is anyone there? Something has happened to my lady, come quickly.”

Ying Xi’s voice was raised high, and soon there was movement from several nearby courtyards.

Gradually, people started to come out, and the first to arrive was Yao Hong.

Well, she hadn’t slept, always paying attention to the sounds outside. As soon as she heard the shout, she came out without even needing to change her clothes.

Originally, Yao Hong thought she would catch them in bed directly in Shu Yu’s room, but who knew she would come out and see Shu Yu leaning against Ying Xi, sitting with a frown on a stone bench looking uncomfortable.

Yao Hong was stunned. Why were they here? Where was her brother?

Yao An was looking for people and, upon hearing the noise, ran over as well.

However, by the time he arrived, the night shift maids and old women had already reached Shu Yu’s side, supporting her and inquiring softly.

Yao Po and Ms. Kang followed closely behind.

Yao Tianqin and Madam Yao, who had gone to bed late and slept heavily, were the last to arrive.

By the time they came, Shu Yu was already surrounded by people.

She was then supported and returned to her courtyard to rest.

Madam Yao was extremely worried, “Yu, what happened? Where do you feel uncomfortable?”

Shu Yu shook her head, her voice sounding somewhat weak, “I don’t know either, just that when I got up at night, I was thirsty, drank some water, and then felt uncomfortable, my stomach hurt, and I kept breaking out in cold sweat.”

“Water?” Madam Yao was stunned, “Was there something wrong with the water?”

“I don’t know either,” Shu Yu shook her head, “Just in case, I took the detoxification medicine prepared by Doctor Zhao. I don’t know if it helped, just now it hurt a lot, but now it’s much better, it shouldn’t be a big deal.”

“What do you mean it’s no big deal? We still need to get a doctor to check on you.”

Shu Yu exhaled, “Aunt, I took the detoxification medicine made by Doctor Zhao, I don’t know if other doctors can figure it out. Luckily, it’s almost dawn, so let Ying Xi go find Doctor Zhao directly.”

Now that the day brightens early, if the Emperor can still attend the early court, this time is when many officials head to the palace for the morning session.

So, people were already on the move on the roads.

Upon hearing this, Madam Yao quickly nodded, telling Ying Xi to make the trip.

After Ying Xi left, she inquired a few more times about Shu Yu’s condition, and after confirming that she indeed wasn’t in any discomfort, she breathed a slight sigh of relief.

Then she turned to call Nanny Feng, “Was it you who arranged Yu’s room to be cleaned? Who prepared the tea in the room?”

Nanny Feng quickly called over the old woman who prepared the tea.

As soon as that old woman arrived, Shu Yu frowned and shook her head, “It wasn’t her.”

Madam Yao was stunned, and Nanny Feng also looked bewildered, “The tea and snacks in the room were indeed prepared by Old Lady Zhang.”

Old Lady Zhang heard that the tea she prepared caused issues, making the esteemed guest unwell after drinking it. She was filled with anxiety, and upon hearing this, she quickly knelt down and said, “Lord, Madam, I indeed prepared the tea and snacks. But, but I truly didn’t tamper with them, the tea and snacks were taken from the kitchen. I…”
