The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1124: Chapter 1124: This Is an Honored Guest

Yao An, having been embarrassed by Shu Yu several times before, harbored discontent in his heart and always assumed the worst about her character.

It seemed as if by belittling her to the level of dust and gutters, he could vent his anger.

At this moment, seeing Shu Yu and Yao Tianqin enter with smiles and laughter, he was taken aback.

However, before he could figure out the relationship between them, his sister Yao Hong couldn’t wait to speak, “Aunt, see, I told you that girl is restless. Not only does she want to seduce my brother, but now she shamelessly cozies up to Uncle when she sees him. Look at their intimacy; I’ve never seen Uncle so happy before. This girl is indeed skillful, she…”

But before she could finish her words, she saw Madam Yao stand up in surprise and quickly walked over in a few steps.

“Yu?”

Shu Yu looked up as Madam Yao had already approached, her eyes filled with joy, “Yu, is that you? You little girl, what brings you to the capital?”

Ms. Kang also stepped forward with a smile, greeting warmly, “So it’s the second sister who’s here, truly a rare and honored guest. Last time you came, you didn’t leave a word, and Mother and I guessed for a long time. We didn’t expect it was you who’d come to the capital. Come, come in and sit.”

Shu Yu was pulled into the living room by the mother-in-law and daughter-in-law duo and sat directly on a chair. Madam Yao didn’t say a word and immediately instructed the servants to serve tea and snacks, treating her as a guest among guests.

This scene left Yao An and the others dumbfounded. They didn’t expect this girl surnamed Lu to be so familiar with the Yao Family.

Thinking back to when they first came to the Yao House, their aunt and sister-in-law were not this enthusiastic, and their reception was quite ordinary.

This thought made them feel quite uncomfortable.

But before they could think much about it, Yao Tianqin frowned and asked, “What do you mean by last time? Yu has been here before? Why didn’t I know about this?”

Madam Yao glanced at Yao An and the others, pulled Yao Tianqin aside, and said, “I’ll tell you about this later, but why did you come back now?”

Yao Tianqin said, “I left the drawings I made last night in the study. I was in a rush to leave this morning and didn’t bring them. I came back to get them.”

Madam Yao, “Then hurry up.”

“No rush, no rush, Yu just arrived, and I…”

Madam Yao glared at him, “We will take care of Yu; what use is it for you to stay?”

“I need to ask her about something. I can send someone to the office to take leave.”

Shu Yu couldn’t help but rub her forehead, “Uncle Yao, please go about your work. You can always ask me later.”

Currently, it’s not easy for Yao Tianqin to take a leave. At the Ministry of Industry, there are few who can handle things. A few months ago, a Minister of Public Works was demoted, and Yao Tianqin was put in his position.

But now, another Minister of Public Works, Gong Qiu, was beheaded. Not only him, but the Ministry of Industry was virtually his domain, and many officials were implicated, leading to a significant personnel shortage.

Let alone taking a leave, Yao Tianqin being able to snatch even half an hour of extra sleep is a luxury.

Shu Yu didn’t want to create chaos for him due to her arrival at such a crucial juncture.
