The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1105: Chapter 1105: Blood Drop Paternity Test Is Invalid

Meng Yunzheng spoke, his eyes slightly red, remembering past events that still stirred strong emotions within him.

The Emperor looked at him steadily. Although the timeline and the causes and effects Meng Yunzheng mentioned matched, yet...

”Who told you all this?”

”It was my mother,” Meng Yunzheng said. ”My mother knew Gong Qiu was ruthless. To be safe, she told me the entire story. Moreover...” He paused and raised his head, ”She instructed me to impersonate Gong Qiu’s son at times of crisis to ensure my survival. So, the day I met Gong Qiu’s trusted followers, she specifically found the midwife who had delivered me and gave her a sum of money to claim, should anyone inquire, that I was born full-term.”

He let out a bitter smile. ”Mother knew Gong Qiu too well and has been keeping tabs on the Gong Family’s affairs over the years. Gong Qiu had only one son and one daughter and not many offspring. If I became Gong Qiu’s son, he would surely let me off.”

The Emperor felt a scratch in his throat and coughed twice. ”Even if your mother bribed the midwife, with Gong Qiu’s cautious nature, wouldn’t he still be skeptical?”

”We underwent a blood test for identity confirmation.”

The Emperor raised an eyebrow. ”So, your blood was compatible. Why do you assert you are not Gong Qiu’s son?”

Meng Yunzheng slowly raised his head. ”Because the blood test is not accurate. Not just Gong Qiu’s, perhaps Xiping’s blood and mine could also be compatible.”

”What did you say?!” The Emperor furrowed his brow intensely. ”Blood tests are inaccurate? Are you sure?!”

”Yes, Your Majesty, I can demonstrate it right now.”

The Emperor, with a stern expression, turned to signal Xiping with his eyes.

The latter immediately exited the room and returned with a bowl of water. He then pricked his finger, letting a drop of blood fall into the bowl.

Meng Yunzheng followed suit, pricking his fingertip and letting blood drop.

The two drops of blood fell into the bowl, and slowly, the blood within it changed.

Xiping widened his eyes, instinctively exclaiming, ”Heavens, it truly merged together!”

His voice was high and sharp, and in such a shocking state, it instantly amplified the inconceivable effect to its peak.

The Emperor, impatient, stood up despite feeling unwell, quickly approached the bowl, and seeing the merging blood, his expression wavered.

Meng Yunzheng couldn’t be Xiping’s son, right?

It turns out that even if not related by blood, the blood can still merge.

His thoughts suddenly turned to the Second Prince, recalling how he had caught Gong Qiu and Noble Princess Consort Liu in a secret meeting and began doubting the Second Prince’s parentage.

But the Second Prince refused to acknowledge it, demanding a blood test for identity confirmation. The Emperor, wanting clarity, agreed.

Their blood was compatible, giving the Emperor momentary relief.

Who would have thought, this was a misguided method, the blood test, truly absurd.

Yet the next moment, the Emperor was puzzled again—why was the Second Prince so confident, not worried at all despite not knowing the test’s unreliability?

Seeming to read the Emperor’s thoughts, Meng Yunzheng spoke again, ”Not only can unrelated blood be compatible, but adding alum to the water makes anyone’s blood merge.”

The Emperor abruptly looked up, alum added?

He suddenly recalled the scene from the blood test with the Second Prince days ago; at that moment, the Second Prince seemed somewhat angry, somewhat nervous, pausing briefly before letting his blood drop.
