The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1132: Chapter 1132 Yao An’s Attentiveness to Shu Yu

Ms. Kang nodded repeatedly, “You’re right, just as it happens Brother Po is resting tomorrow, he will come home tonight, and I will discuss it with him then.”

Shu Yu nodded, turning her head to see that she was still holding her stomach.

Just now she was so startled, Shu Yu was really worried, so she said to her, “Sister-in-law, since Doctor Zhao is in the capital, why not… invite him to take a look at you?”

Ms. Kang’s eyes lit up, “Really? Doctor Zhao is in the capital? Good, good, then please invite him to come over.”

Shu Yu then turned her head and asked Ying Xi to find someone.

Zhao Xi should still be at the small courtyard today, preparing his medicines, while Meng Yunzheng had gone out early in the morning.

Once Meng Pei arrives in the capital, he will leave, and who knows when he will come back again.

Meng Yunzheng collaborated with the Fifth Prince, and now that everything is settled, it is always good to say goodbye.

Ying Xi quickly left the Yao family, and Shu Yu continued chatting with Ms. Kang for a while.

Shortly after, Madam Yao came over to invite them to have lunch.

At the dining table, Yao An and two others were already waiting there.

Madam Yao originally intended to have the servants deliver food to Yao An separately, since it was a table full of ladies, having a single gentleman would inevitably be awkward.

Who knew, just as she brought Ms. Kang and Shu Yu over, Yao An had already arrived, poured himself a cup of wine, acting very at ease.

Madam Yao couldn’t say much, but inside she was dissatisfied, thinking he really had no manners; with guests at home, it was improper to settle down at the table before they arrived, no wonder the siblings were not likable.

Ignoring them, Madam Yao turned her attention to entertain Shu Yu.

Because outsiders were present, she refrained from discussing private matters and instead talked about the scenery of the capital.

As they spoke, Yao An interrupted from time to time, chiming in, even though he wasn’t a native of the capital, yet acting as if he knew a lot about it.

Madam Yao frowned at him, feeling Yao An’s behavior was overly eager.

Yao An seemed oblivious and even tried to serve Shu Yu some food.

Shu Yu found it increasingly annoying, eating her meal in a very unpleasant mood.

Yao An, oblivious as ever, continued talking to himself, “Actually, the scenery of Huajiang Prefecture is also nice, and it’s very bustling. Our Yao family is among the wealthiest there, my father being the head, not to mention, just saying…”

Shu Yu took a deep breath discreetly, and suddenly curious, turned her head to look at him, “That impressive?”

Yao Hong slightly raised her chin, a bit proud.

Wang Jiayi kept her head down, but her grip on the chopsticks tightened slightly, occasionally glancing at Ms. Kang, making Ms. Kang nervous, neither of them listening closely to the conversation at the table.

When Yao An heard Shu Yu respond, he immediately smiled, “Yes, if Monarch Lu Xiang is interested, I can introduce him to you.”

Shu Yu, “There’s just one thing I’m quite interested in.”

“What?” Yao An asked eagerly.

Shu Yu smiled, “Since your Yao family is among the top in Huajiang Prefecture, when Uncle Yao first arrived in the southwest and life was difficult, how come we didn’t see your father, the head, step out to lend a hand?”

The expressions of Yao An and his sister Yao Hong suddenly stiffened.

Madam Yao suddenly felt very refreshed.

Shu Yu acted as if she didn’t notice Yao An’s rigid smile and continued curiously, “That is quite unfortunate, back then when you didn’t offer timely help, now that Uncle Yao has overcome hardship, you can’t really take advantage of his success, can you? It’s a pity. After all, reciprocity is important, right?”
