The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 935: Chapter 935: I Want to Call Lu Congming

Shu Yu listened with a sigh, and when she returned home for dinner with the family in the evening, she mentioned this matter to Lu Erbai, who immediately furrowed his eyebrows tightly.

”I really hadn’t heard about this.” He had only been back to Shangshi Village once after returning from the southwest, mainly occupied with the affairs of the mansion in the county town.

He had been bustling about in Shangshi Village as well, mostly just stopping by the village chief’s house for a visit.

Since the village chief only spoke of happy events, he naturally wouldn’t discuss these unpleasant matters with him, and apart from knowing his own brothers’ situation, Lu Erbai was quite unaware of other villagers.

”I’ve actually seen his son-in-law, timid and shrinking at first, frightfully cowardly. Who would have thought, as days improved, he became recklessly bold, even gambling and then running off with someone, abandoning his wife and child?”

The old lady snorted coldly, ”Good riddance that he ran off. It’s a blessing that he did. Otherwise, if he continued to stay in Madam Liang’s house, he might recklessly rush to the gambling den at any moment. Then, the whole Liang family would be dragged down into a semi-dead state by him. Having such a husband and father, it’s better to be without. Madam Liang should consider it as spending money to eliminate a disaster. Now that Madam Liang has descendants, just pretend he’s dead.”

Unable to help herself, Shu Yu gave the old lady a thumbs-up, Grandmother, your thoughts are so progressive.

It seems the only use this gambler had was to leave an offspring for Madam Liang.

”I heard from Eldest Uncle that Madam Liang has given up on him, only wanting to live their own lives well. Madam Liang even went to the authorities to retrieve the marriage certificate, as if to divorce that man.”

Upon hearing this, Lu Erbai nodded, ”Your Uncle Liang has always been a decisive person.”

He was thinking, if in the future there’s a need to put together a team, then Liang Wangsheng would be a very suitable candidate.

After discussing this matter, Shu Yu then inquired about the masseuse Hua Xian, whom the old lady encountered today.

The old lady was obviously very satisfied with her, ”It’s just that she’s a little timid, acting as if afraid I’ll get angry.”

”It’s normal since she just arrived. Given time, she’ll naturally stop feeling that way.”

The old lady felt the same, and not to mention, after being massaged by her today, she didn’t feel as sore as before.

Zhao Xi said, the girl pressed all the right acupoints, clearly she had received specialized training.

However, because of the comfortable massage during the day, the old lady slept for several hours and now couldn’t sleep at night.

Just as well, Sanya said she wanted to change her name during the day, and after dinner, the old lady called the little girl over with great enthusiasm, ”Didn’t you say you wanted to change your name? After pondering for a whole day, have you come up with something?”

Sanya’s eyes sparkled, and she nodded her head quickly, ”I thought of many names.”

The others became curious and gathered around.

”Considering how confident you look, it seems you are very satisfied with the names you’ve come up with.”

Sanya nodded again firmly.

Shu Yu flipped out pen and paper onto the table, ”Come, tell your second sister, what names have you thought of?”

”There’s a lot of them.” Sanya climbed onto the chair, sitting opposite Shu Yu, and loudly proclaimed, ”I want to be called Lu Congming.”

Shu Yu, ”...”

Her hand shook, ”What did you just say you want to be called?”

”Lu Congming, ah. This way, everyone will know I am very smart upon hearing it; they won’t call me a little girl anymore.” Sanya was overflowing with confidence, believing a name is the easiest way to showcase one’s traits, and it’s best to be straightforward.

”Second sister, you see, in the future when you call me, smart, smart, you’re not only calling my name but also praising me. Two birds with one stone, right?”
