The Ace Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 914: Chapter 914: A Total of Nineteen Servants

”Is she making things difficult for you?” Shu Yu asked with knitted brows.

Ding Yuehua said, ”In front of me, she is still bearable, at most being passive-aggressively rude, not daring to outright tear off the mask. What disgusts me is her special skill in sowing discord behind my back. Not only does she stir trouble with my mother-in-law, she even goes to my husband to speak ill. My mother-in-law originally didn’t like me being active outside, and now she looks at me even more displeasingly.”

”But I remember, wasn’t it precisely your assertive and spirited manner when doing business outside that caught the eye of Third Young Master Fan in the first place?”

Ding Yuehua straightened her back slightly, a hint of pride in her tone, ”Right? That’s why I had him talk to his mother himself. But instead of discussing my business pursuits outside, she started pressuring me to have children.”

Shu Yu was momentarily speechless, no wonder she was unwilling to stay at home. She had come out to visit her yesterday, and today she accompanied her to purchase servants.

It is only because Ding Yuehua’s parental family is quite influential, and Third Young Master Fan stands by her side, otherwise, it would also be difficult for her at her in-laws’ place.

”Anyway, a few days ago my sister-in-law just sold Hua Xian, which upset my elder brother. He is now trying to mend their marital relationship.”

Ding Yuehua’s tone was somewhat schadenfreude; she could speak so freely only in front of Shu Yu.

After all, it was a family matter; she feared worrying her mother by telling her, and telling others would only make her a laughingstock.

Only when facing Yu, she could speak without reservations.

However, she also disliked talking too much about those vexing family issues, quickly changing the topic, ”Let’s not talk about them. We just made some new porcelain in different styles at home, they look pretty good. I’ve saved some for you, when your mansion is refurbished, you can move them to your place to celebrate.”

Fan family is in the porcelain business, and this is something Third Young Master Fan can decide on.

Shu Yu did not refuse, and as they chatted, the carriage arrived at the official agency.

The official agency was more crowded, and Shu Yu actually found a girl skilled in martial arts.

This girl was a year younger than herself, but her skills were commendable.

However, she was together with her elder brother, meaning if bought, the two must be bought together. This worked out well, as the girl’s brother was even more skilled than her.

It was said that both siblings grew up in the escort agency, but later, the agency got involved in a lawsuit. Their parents perished in jail, and the siblings were sold off.

The elder brother was named Ying Dong, and the younger sister was named Ying Xi.

After finalizing their purchase, Shu Yu took an interest in two families; one family named Zhong, with a man over fifty, along with two sons, two daughters-in-law, two granddaughters — one sixteen and one nine years old — and a thirteen-year-old grandson, a total of eight members forming a large group.

There was also another family named Lin, a family of four, with a woman accompanied by her son, daughter-in-law, and eight-year-old grandson.

Shu Yu counted, including Hua Xian and the others, a total of nineteen servants.

Nineteen, a few more than Shu Yu had anticipated.

With this, both Dahu and Sanya found companions.

With everyone gathered, Shu Yu decided not to continue visiting other agencies but instead had people deliver them to Fenghuai Street.

Normally, the official agency wouldn’t help with transportation, but now that Shu Yu was the Village Chief, they naturally agreed promptly.

As the servants were purchased, they would stay at home tonight, and naturally, some daily necessities needed to be arranged as well.

As Ding Yuehua was free, she accompanied her to shop for clothes and bedding. Ying Family siblings also joined them to lend a hand.
