My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2381: Chapter 2214: Worldly Prosperity

Everyone wants someone who can always be there for them.

After Ran Zhihan got his driver’s license, he suddenly didn’t know how he would relate what his son said to him, or whether he should honestly tell his son about this matter. Actually, it’s not like that; many things are said and done out of necessity. But his son is so young, and how could he bear to make him endure such hurt once more? Every mother has her inner thoughts and would spare no cost for her son, regardless of her character; she would sacrifice everything for her child.

”Son, have you ever thought that this kind of training is really exhausting? Every day I watch you wake up so early, diving into rigorous training without even having time for breakfast. Do you know how much it pains me to see this? I want you to grow up happy, living a joyful childhood, so that when you grow up, you can reminisce about your joyful childhood. But the way you are now, when you grow up, how would you tell if your childhood was happy or sad? You can’t tell, because it was consumed by training, and you haven’t lived happily for a single day!”

Son, though it may seem unreliable, I hope you understand everything I’m saying is for your own good. Over the years, I’ve gone through so much heartache alone, and I can’t bear to let my son experience it again. As your mother, I wish for you to live well!”

”Mom, you really don’t have to worry so much about me. I’m not that little kid anymore. I should grow up by myself; I should let everyone know I’m the most capable person. Since I’ve come this far, it proves that I’ve made a final decision in my heart. I will not step back; I will prove myself to my grandparents, regardless of their motives for abandoning me as their grandson; that will be their loss. I will show the world with my actions that only I can truly become a king of the world!”

Without effort, there is no gain. Without hard work, there is no glory tomorrow. I will always remember this saying. Only by relying on myself can I avoid ending up deeply hurt. There is no one born to endure suffering; he just chooses to play it safe, wanting to spend his life peacefully, unlike me. I want to support my family with my own hands and let everyone understand that the so-called ”real men” are nothing compared to me. I will be a man who stands tall and creates a bright sky for my parents, preventing them from fighting due to any pressures in life!”

Zhang Ni’s words undoubtedly moved his biological mother. Which mother wouldn’t love her child? Yet every time she saw her child suffer, she could only stand by, watching from the corner, unable to stop him; accepting the rigorous training again and again, watching him stumble repeatedly.

Seeing her son get hurt again and again, it pained her heart immensely as his biological mother. But the son always smiles, wanting everyone to believe he is the happiest person, no matter the cost. He doesn’t want anyone to worry because of him; he is always so understanding. Yet no one truly experiences the comfort a child should receive.

”My dear son, do you know how much it pains me for you to have given so much for your dreams? Now you’re still enduring mental agony for unrelated people. Do you think I am willing to let my son suffer? I’ve never thought my son would undergo this rigorous training like my husband once did. All I want is for you to smile happily at me every day, but fate never gives me this chance. Why did you choose this impossible path, knowing it’s a dead end, yet still leap forward recklessly? You’re causing yourself pain, and hurting your mother’s heart!”

”Don’t say such things. Believe me, one day, you’ll be proud, and you’ll know what I have achieved is your pride. Your greatest pride in this world is having a son like me. I’ll prove my worth to those who abandoned me, belittled me, and mocked me. The consequence will be heavy, no matter the cost, and I will make sure they cannot lift their heads on this earth, for a lifetime. No matter who they are in relation to me, I’ll do this!”

Ran Zhihan wanted to say more, but his husband stopped him. He knew that no matter what he said now, his son wouldn’t listen. Rather than saying more that would be hurtful, it was better to let his son properly think about whether his actions are right or wrong.

”Don’t say any more. This is our son’s decision, and he must face the consequences himself. As parents, we have no way to choose for our child. The future path must be his to walk; our only role is to give him the greatest support on his journey. Let him go, let him create his own life. He probably already has a little plan, and as parents, we shouldn’t interfere any further!”

”But he’s still the child I painstakingly brought into this world. To say I don’t love him is impossible. But do I have the right to say these words, knowing they might bring my heart more struggle and pain? Yet ultimately, I must say them. I truly hope that someday fate will not let my son’s efforts go to waste and bring his wishes to fruition!”

”Rest assured, that day will come eventually. As long as we have patience, and always stay by our child’s side, believe that there is nothing he cannot achieve. Give our son a chance to showcase his bright mind and outstanding talents!”

In the end, he felt lost, struggling even when he wanted to let go!
