My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2376: Chapter 2209: Never

Many times, what we want is just a momentary attitude, and attitude decides everything.

”Honey, even though you think what I said makes a lot of sense, shouldn’t you forgive your parents and stop arguing with them? Otherwise, your heart will also be very painful, and I don’t want to see you in so much agony. You’re the man I love most in this lifetime; how could I bear seeing you live so painfully alone? But as a wife, how could my heart feel good? Ask others if they care about your inner feelings, but as your wife, I absolutely care about every feeling you have inside. I know how painful it truly is for you inside, and what I want is not much at all. I just want you to be able to live peacefully. Maybe in this lifetime, we will accept different decisions and accept different lives, but we must hold each other’s hands tightly and never separate. If you think what I said really makes sense, then forgive them. After all, they are your parents. If, because of us, they can’t go back home for life, how guilty would our hearts be? How evil would our hearts be to even block our own parents from coming back home? That’s not the kind of thing either of us would do, right? We should not let others seize handles to mock us. We should generously forgive those who have hurt us but abandoned us, as that’s the true best way to retaliate, making others feel even more painful, right?”

Clearly, they thought the person they hurt would never forgive them, yet they never imagined that the person they hurt so deeply would easily choose to forgive them, leaving their hearts with immense guilt. They would definitely feel that all of this was just about their wrong decision at the time; why hurt such a good person? How could they bear to hurt them? As long as we make this decision, they would absolutely have no way to hurt us ever again. Let’s not make things complicated anymore; isn’t it best that we live the life we should live? Why repeatedly let our hearts go through such torment?”

Zhang Yichen didn’t know how to respond to his wife’s words; he was sure those words indeed made a lot of sense, and every word hit home for him. Yet, he really couldn’t bring himself to forgive his parents. If he really lowers his boundaries and allows them back, wouldn’t that be too unprincipled for himself? If it’s so easy to forgive them, wouldn’t they hurt him once again like before? He truly has no way to be confident about this decision. If doing so would continue to let them hurt him, why choose to forgive them? He’d rather set a standard, allowing them to learn a permanent lesson from abandoning him, paying a heavy price, and perhaps they would behave more? Right?”

”Dear, I know what you’re thinking inside, but I hope you understand that some things aren’t right just because they follow your thoughts. One day, you’ll realize some matters need careful consideration about how to act. Our parents once shut us out, so tonight, do you think others would ridicule us? They would think we lack the basic capacity to tolerate others, and saying ’the sea collects the streams’ implies tolerance is greatness. So why should we expose these matters?”

Never let the mistakes of our own parents burden us, because my heart is extremely painful. You have your own method to try each opportunity to forgive them, letting them try to care for you by staying with you. If you truly feel uncomfortable or they’re not sincere, then it wouldn’t be too late to drive them out. If you don’t even give them a chance now and just easily shut them out, it really doesn’t make sense. You’re a learned person, and aware of the different educations received between us; why would we want others to seize handles to mock us?

Hubby, you know grandpa values his face, and his dignity is tied to his daughter, who abandoned Jin Guang, then you shouldn’t for the sake of your supposed dignity not spruce up yourself? If others find out, they would certainly mock grandpa, saying grandpa taught Sun Wufang. Would you really bear others pointing fingers and insulting you over this? Did you, as his granddaughter, see your grandpa giving so much for you, yet unwilling to give him any repayment? Would you really bear watching your grandpa suffer because of your matter? Actually, you don’t want to see such an outcome for anyone, but you don’t know how to resolve such issues. I’ve already told you all the ways; how you act depends on your true thoughts inside. If you’re truly willing to abandon your grandpa, to make him look bad, then disregard everything I’ve said. You can act as if I haven’t said anything. He’s your grandpa; I hope you can think it through well, because regardless of the outcomes of this decision, it must be walked through. Others won’t offer you a way back, nor will they give you any opportunity to change your course, so think clearly about what you actually did wrong. Only by considering thoroughly can you proceed afar!”

Zhang Yichen now really feels conflicted and painful, really doesn’t know what decision to make. Hating his parents is absolutely impossible, but at this moment he should act openly and let everyone know what kind of parent he is. Why repeatedly pay painful prices and let others feel that everything is inevitable?

”Okay, this time I’ll listen to you. I’ll choose to forgive my parents, but I hope they’ll also promise me never to just casually abandon me again like they used to. I can’t bear their repeated hurt. I’m just a person of ordinary standing, I also possess what I possess, because he’s abandoned me. In this lifetime, I absolutely won’t have any opportunity to let them, because I can’t do it...”

Some things are not uncared for, but unable to bear so much. The more you care, the greater the pressure you bear.
