My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2377: Chapter 2210: Caring

Sometimes caring doesn’t necessarily have to be spoken, but can be proven through your actions, showing that you truly care about this and are deeply concerned.

When Old Master Zhang heard his grandson say these touching words, he felt incredibly moved and gratified, confirming that the love he had poured into his grandson all these years wasn’t wasted. He had genuinely taught his grandson how to conduct himself, both in life and in interactions with others. This was his greatest pride in life. He never imagined that he would have such a moment of gratification. He had already gone through so much in his life, so many changes, he had no time to experience these things. Yet, it enriched his life profoundly. Everything can change due to someone else’s influence, but he never expected that his grandson would remain true to his original promise all these years. Yichen always remembered the vow he once made. No matter where he went, he always remembered his mission clearly. He never forgot the things he truly wanted deep down and did not abandon the oath he took to one day achieve success, bringing him much reassurance.

”Child, you know you’re the most filial child in the world. You’re aware of all the things you’ve done over the years, though you never thought about abandoning them. You’ve kept the vow you made buried deep within your heart and placed tremendous importance on everything you care about deeply. Do you know how happy and joyful your grandpa felt hearing you say this today? Grandpa never had the opportunity to reach the pinnacle in his life, and what you said made him feel proud because he taught such a perfect child like you.

Never compare yourself to others because others may not be the kind of person you want to become. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Blindly following someone else’s path will ultimately leave you lost and unsure of what to do. Everyone harbors their truest thoughts at heart and resists changing themselves for others. Suppose this really happens, then a lifetime will be wasted. Life is difficult, but how do we manage to live? It’s only by tirelessly fighting to grow that we avoid living a life full of hardship and exhaustion.

You also believe that you’ve weathered many storms in your life. You can’t forget the hardships and tears you’ve endured to reach where you are today. Each step was taken painfully, you can’t bear seeing others surpass you by skipping one step. You want to reach the pinnacle of life, you desire happiness, you are never an idle person. Since childhood, you’ve known that you are dignified, willing to give everything for your goals, and that’s why grandpa devoted all his efforts to nurturing you, subjecting you to repeated intense training.”

Old Master Zhang, after talking to Zhang Yichen, turned to continue speaking to Zhang Zhentian, ”You, as parents, have really been heartless. Your own child hasn’t returned to be by your side in those years. Do you know how hard his life has been? Have you witnessed the sweat and tears he’s shed during harsh training? Do you realize the injuries he’s suffered, and when he’s bleeding profusely, he still forces himself to endure the pain? His face contorted, yet he refuses to show his anguish because he understands that no one can save him. Only a strong heart can help him.”

Through his actions, he’s shown me that he might not live happily, but he won’t regret striving for his goals. It’s his greatest achievement. You have never experienced this emotion because you’ve never considered risking everything for your family. In your eyes, nothing matters except your freedom. You’ve become selfish, you’re my own son and daughter-in-law, yet I can’t believe it.

Sometimes, I want to tell you, if you have a trace of filial piety, why not return home for a visit? If you harbor any guilt, why wander outside without coming back to accompany me? It’s a painful wound for me. I’m an old man, your father, but how can you bear to leave me here and let your son be with me while you roam afar? Do you really find happiness and joy living outside for so long? Have you truly achieved everything you wanted?

Even though I knew you would ultimately regret this path, I never expected this day to come so quickly. You never pondered the errors in your actions, only expecting forgiveness that you’re not owed. Why should others keep forgiving you? When you continuously err, others will think you’re beyond saving, who knows you’re incorrigible...

”Dad, I’ve already realized my mistakes, please stop repeating these words to me. I know my greatest mistake was leaving my son, choosing to seek my supposed freedom outside.

It’s also because of my actions, my tone turned awkward. No one truly understands my inner thoughts, nor knows how painful leaving all these years has been, no one comprehends the guilt that burdens me, I’ve been shackled by this for years. I’ve never forgotten it, because I know in my heart that if I forget this guilt, I will fall into a deep pit of pain...”

But how many times has caring led to this predicament.
