My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2378: Chapter 2211: Don’t Speak of Love

”Dad, Mom, maybe I’m not even fit to talk about love. I let someone who loved me deeply leave, and now there’s no news.”

Clearly, there is love between us, yet we refuse to acknowledge each other. Clearly, my heart is causing trouble, but the words still won’t come out, burying love alive. Perhaps leaving love comes with much helplessness, rejecting sincerity between each other.

”Xiao Wei, whether my brother-in-law loves my sister or not is something we cannot ask, and there’s no way to interfere. After all, it’s their marital issue. As outsiders, all we can do is protect our family from harm. If our actions repeatedly cause our family pain and suffering, why do we treat them this way?”

Originally, some matters don’t need to be so complicated. If our intervention makes everything too complicated, do you think that’s a good thing for us? Or, on the other hand, is that happiness and joy for them?

In fact, you should know, some matters shouldn’t be meddled with.

Because perhaps the matter wasn’t so painful, but our interference may ultimately cause them sadness and hurt. Doing this doesn’t help them, but harms them. We all hope our family can live happily and joyfully; that is what’s most important to us. We shouldn’t let our selfish desires bring pain and harm to our loved ones!

Sometimes I can’t even figure out who loves whom more. Maybe the life they want isn’t like that, but the life I want is really simple. I don’t want my life to be so complicated, so painful.

You have seen with your own eyes how my sister has spent her life. If our life is to be the same as his, then what’s the point of choosing this outcome?”

”No matter what my sister thinks, I don’t care about her future hardships or happiness. I just want her to be happy and joyful now. If she can’t have happiness and joy now, how can she continue to live happily?”

You know in your heart what kind of person my brother-in-law is, don’t you? Even if he truly loves my sister, can he still repeatedly oppose his aging father for his wife, repeatedly go against his family? Can he still casually abandon the interests of his entire family as he did before? I dare say he definitely won’t now. He already knows exactly what he wants. He absolutely won’t abandon his father, abandon his son, abandon his entire family for his wife anymore.

If he once again abandons his entire family for his wife, abandons his father, how will Old Master Zhang view him in his heart? How could he possibly forgive his son? They already had a hard time returning home this time, already begged them humbly. But if another mistake causes them to leave that home completely, wouldn’t this effort be in vain?

If anyone encounters such a situation, they wouldn’t be content. No one would be willing to let their effort be wasted without any return.”

Xiao Wei feels regardless, he should call his brother-in-law, wants his brother-in-law to honestly tell him how his sister is doing. But it is as his wife said, some matters he, as the brother, shouldn’t meddle in. That would only put his sister in a difficult position, between her brother, her family, and her husband. Wouldn’t that make his sister feel cornered?

But if he truly doesn’t ask, it shows he doesn’t care about his sister’s life. Wouldn’t that make his sister feel even worse in her heart? As a brother, what should he do to balance both sides? Must he really be the villain, let everyone direct all attacks at him, be the victim, to bear all public pressure for the best outcome for them?

He really doesn’t want to endure the pain he once experienced, but no matter what, he can’t stay here peacefully. Why is what he wants so hard to get in this world? Why does everything he desires always go against him? Why does heaven repeatedly push him to extremes, make him defy destiny? Wouldn’t he be punished for such actions? He only wants happiness and well-being for his family, but what is the outcome he receives each time?”

”Xiao Wei, I don’t care what those people think, or what mental state you’re in, but there are things I must make clear to you. Everyone’s attitude towards things is different, resulting in different outcomes. This was predetermined long ago. Don’t think about changing these endings. No one can change the conclusions set by heaven long ago!

Don’t think about calling Zhang Zhentian to ask if he loves your sister or not. Such questions are meaningless. It will only make your brother-in-law think, has your sister told you something? If their marital relationship becomes strained, you will really become the villain.”

Honestly do what we should do between each other, protect those we want to protect, don’t repeatedly pursue meaningless dreams. Those dreams never belonged to you. No matter how earnestly you act, how perfectly you achieve, in others’ eyes you’ll always be seen as the one who brought family discord and ruins.

Everyone is selfish and self-serving. When their matters arise, they won’t care about their relatives. What do those family ties matter? If each time the outcome doesn’t make everyone understand that what they once most firmly believed is ultimately nothing, are you sure her heart will really hold gratitude for you?

If they don’t return malice with kindness, it’s already fortunate. Why indulge in the fantasy of sharing happiness and joy with them.

Perhaps you think my words are unnecessary, maybe you find them unpleasant or don’t want to hear such words, but it’s unavoidable. There are things I must make clear to you, otherwise you will be the one suffering!”

The beloved one is most like Shanghai, leaving you wounded all over, yet you silently bear it. The deepest affection, the most feared departure; tears can’t water the future, silence can’t bring back the splendid.

”Yichen, you are my pride, my greatest son.”
