My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2369: Chapter 2202: Letting Go

In the darkness, I am still afraid, don’t leave me alone, I want to hear a firm answer.

Xia Jing said she knew from the beginning that her husband loved her dearly, but she never imagined that his love for her could reach such a level. Sometimes, when she thinks about everything she has done, deep inside, she feels touched. She once hurt him, yet he is willing to give everything to love her, to abandon everything for her, and for her, who can be unimportant, who can not care?

Perhaps Teacher Zeng’s demands were too excessive, causing everything to slowly deviate from her most beloved ending. Again she wonders if she truly knows what she is doing; having abandoned everything, everything relates back to her lost son. She never truly lost just a bit of something, but why does she never know how to cherish, always waiting until everything disappears, until everyone she cares about has left her, and only then does she realize her mistake, that all she wanted was just a simple life.

Sometimes, when she calms down and reflects on her life, remembers the mistakes she made, the harm she brought to each family member, she insists, unable to believe that all this was truly her most important thing, making everything ridiculous, progressively extreme. Thus, making the paths she took slowly drift away from her true intentions.

”Zhentian, I really regret my actions towards you. I never imagined I would become like this one day. How I wish we could forever stay in those happy times we once had. All I wanted was a stable and secure life, but why did things turn out this way? I am so afraid, afraid that everything has become the heaviest pain. There is never a way to forget. All this was because of you. You showed me genuine love, gave me everything, but do you know, when everything weighed down upon me, I finally realized how much you sacrificed for me. Yet, I never thought you were doing it for my good. I never cherished you until I lost you, then realized all this was because of my mistakes, turning you into what you are now.

Sometimes I really don’t understand why I did so many things to hurt you, yet you were never willing to give up. All those responsibilities were exposed in my heart. Do you know? When everything changes, and all once again becomes my hardest moments, do you know how sad I feel inside? I never truly thought about what kind of life I wanted for myself. But why did it end in such pain?

You truly and sincerely loved me, wanting to give me all the love. But you forgot, while giving me all your love, I chose to hurt you. From the moment I hurt you, we were no longer suitable to be husband and wife.”

”I don’t allow you to say this. No matter what, I will never let you go. I want all this to remain in my heart forever, at every moment, regardless of time or place. It will never change. You can’t understand my love for you, and I can’t treat your true feelings the same. We both need to calm down, need some time to think about what kind of life we should lead. I don’t wish for the distance between us to grow further. I don’t want you to leave me!

If one day someone must leave the family, I would rather be that person. Once, I abandoned my family. I don’t mind doing it again. I have always been selfish, always for myself, I gave up everything. You can test me; I would abandon everything for myself, but never think I did it for you. I just want you to have a rightful place in this family, for everyone to truly accept you, to treat you genuinely. To me, that’s sufficient.”

”You two saying these things now, where does that leave me, as your father? Have you ever cared that I also need my children’s company? Why do you treat me this way? Even if you have such thoughts, can’t you say them away from me, sparing me a bit of dignity, even just a little? I would be grateful. Why do you treat me this way, repeatedly causing me pain, making me bear all this suffering?

You are so heartless. Why do you treat me this way? If you showed me a little kindness, even a bit of gratitude, you wouldn’t have done this. Maybe, in your eyes, I am not fit to be your father. You abandoned me, not me forcing you away. Why don’t you understand this so-called everything, that we’ll only achieve what you imagine under what circumstances? Why do you repay me like this?

Even if I have nothing, even if I have no place in this home, I don’t want you to treat me this way. Do you understand? I am the head of the family. Once you left this house, you severed ties with family. Your return is an attempt for us to accept you. After accepting you again, why did you choose to hurt us again? Are we so negligible, or are our lives in your eyes, so easily shaken? Happy for your return, living in agony for your departure, stirring every nerve at your change, you think this is fun or why?

Everything you said today, I will remember it well. When and where you are no longer my son, you are unworthy of being my son. I don’t have a son like you. Everything you do is simply not something a family member would do. You will never understand how difficult it truly is for a father.”

Old Master Zhang didn’t want to spend more words with his children there, so he quickly left that place. He didn’t want to stay in the living room, where every moment suffocates him!

Blurred your face, watching time slowly evaporate, still not seeing your figure!
