My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2094: Chapter 1927: Remembering

After you left for so long, do you still remember the moments we spent together?

Indeed, everyone has a different perspective on things, and therefore makes different choices. Every path chosen will ultimately decide which road you embark upon in the future.

Zhang Yichen sometimes feels very lost. He doesn’t even know why he chose this path initially. He intended to prove to his parents how strong he was, hoping they would regret abandoning him.

Yet now, he has achieved success, achievements that are not easily accomplished by just anyone. He has become lonely and desolate, while his father and mother have started to encounter some issues. His heart doesn’t know whether to feel happy or sad. Once, he desperately wished for his parents to be punished.

To abandon a child of only one month—it’s unforgivable to him.

But now that his parents are truly punished, why does his heart only ache instead of feeling joyous? Is it really because blood is thicker than water? If so, why didn’t they see the pain he felt as he took step after step to reach that point?

”Dad, I can’t understand whether I should be happy or not seeing you like this. To be honest, as a younger generation, looking at you like this makes my heart unhappy. But remembering how you cruelly abandoned me, leaving me to live alone for over twenty years, your current punishment seems quite light.

You often say you were forced to abandon me, but what kind of difficulty would make a mother and father completely abandon their one-month-old child?

I truly can’t understand what benefits your actions provide, making your child live in such agony. Do you really feel happy, joyful inside?

If you didn’t want to raise me, why give birth to me, letting me suffer in this world? Every step I’ve taken has been so challenging, and you never saw how hard it has been for me.”

Zhang Zhentian knows that some things will always cast a shadow in his son’s heart, always have reasons. He can’t erase everything. This path was his choice, resulting in his son experiencing such pain. He watched his child endure grueling training, but could only stand behind without stepping in.

”Sigh!

You truly don’t know? Seeing your grueling training pains me, constantly feeling I haven’t paid attention to you growing up. But do you know, every action of yours is etched deeply in our memories?

We watched you choose your path, saw the grueling training you underwent, saw you achieve brilliance through your efforts, and you truly didn’t know?

I understand that in everyone’s eyes, not just you, your mom and I are never seen as competent parents. I abandoned you so young; living alone here, you wouldn’t have survived!”

”That’s why I don’t understand what necessity forced you down this path, abandoning me to live such a lonely life. Do you feel happy because outside, everyone says how grueling my training was, yet you hide behind without stepping forward, making me continuously hope my parents would return to accompany me!

But I don’t know if I should choose to forgive you, why every time I stand expectantly at the doorstep waiting for the sound of you returning, yet you hide behind without looking at me directly, do you view me as unappealing or something?

Appearance is bestowed by parents, it’s not something I can decide.

I push myself to become the smartest in the world, to let everyone know my efforts are worthwhile. I want everyone to admire me for life because only by standing at a different height can I let everyone know how much effort and hardship I endure for these achievements, which they will never comprehend since they have parental companionship and don’t need to prove themselves so desperately!

But I cannot!”

”Child, don’t harbor too much resentment. Even if you resent us, resent me as your father but don’t hate your mom!”

”There are things I don’t want to mention again. Since my mom doesn’t want to see you, give her time. Only when you give her time will you know what to do to bring her back to you. She still holds you in her heart; I can see it. But her choice to avoid now is for a reason. She doesn’t know how to face you because of Grandpa’s intervention, and because our whole family is watching her, making her feel embarrassed.”

”Don’t worry, I understand. Since I’ve done this, I’ll choose to give her time. No matter how long this takes, I’ll always give her time, waiting until she’s ready to see me!

Even if this day becomes unreachable in this life, I willingly wait, as long as there’s a hint of hope, I won’t give up. Grasping the last bit of hope may change my life.

Today, regardless of anything, thank you. Thank you for expressing the resentment toward us and saying what you’ve always wanted to say in your heart.

You will always be our good son; your deeds have already made most people in this world unable to reach your level, leaving many children of wealthy families in admiration.

Because all of this is caused by us, forcing you to endure such pain, enabling you to reach this point by following this life alone. We truly apologize!”

You always handle money cautiously and often mention in passing our days together when times were tough, when days were always too slow.
