My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2085: Chapter 1918: Hard to Speak

Memories are marked, yet I remain on the path of loving you, unchanged.

”Do you think I don’t want to? All these years I’ve been trying to make myself give up on you, forget you, not keep you in my heart, but I’ve never been able to forget you. Do you know how desperate that makes me feel? I also want to start a new life, yet your shadow, your smile linger in my mind every day, and I can’t make these thoughts disappear.

I’ve waited for you all these years, but what about you? You married early and had children, but I don’t mind, I just want to have you!”

”You really don’t need to go through so much trouble to find me. No matter how well you speak, no matter how many sweet words you say, I won’t believe it. All I want now is a stable life. I don’t want the meetups between us to ruin the marriage between me and my husband. I just want us to live happily together. For me, nothing is more important than these things. If you have even a little love for me in your heart, or even a slight memory, then please let me go and allow me to walk my own life path, do not disturb my originally peaceful life, okay?”

”Since you really won’t give me another chance to try to be with you, then tonight, accompany me for a good drink. Let’s drink till we’re drunk, and after tonight, I promise I won’t disturb you anymore. You go your way, and I’ll go mine. From here on, we each will go our separate ways. What do you think?”

Ran Zhihan hesitated for a while, but eventually decided to have a drink with his classmate. However, he did not expect that tonight’s drinking would lead to suspicion of divorce.

”Please remember what you just said. If you can do it, then I’ll accompany you for a drink, till we’re drunk!” Ran Zhihan thought his husband didn’t know, but he didn’t realize every move was in his husband’s eyes, yet he was the only one who was kept in the dark. He thought as long as he destroyed all the evidence, it wouldn’t be discovered. But little did he know, his husband had already been monitoring him, watching his every move all along, never fully trusting him.

”Don’t worry, as long as you can drink with me tonight, and not go back, just stay here with me, I promise I’ll fulfill my promise to you!”

Chen Gang watched the woman in front of him starting to drink, and his mood significantly improved. All he wanted was to be with the woman he loved, but he had waited in vain for so many years, ultimately getting no result, not even an explanation. In the end, after studying hard and returning from abroad, he discovered the woman he loved had long been married with children. How could he accept this?

Ran Zhihan was poured drink after drink by Chen Gang, knowing his alcohol tolerance wasn’t that good, but seeing his classmate, he couldn’t help but continue to drink reluctantly. He never expected that after drinking to a mess, Chen Gang took him back home.

”Zhihan, do you know how hard it has been for me these years? As soon as I thought of being with you, I immediately felt at ease. All I want is for the woman I love most to be with me, but you married early and had children. I know you’re no longer a complete woman, but I still want to be with you. I want to be husband and wife with you!

I hope you won’t blame me for deceiving you tonight. Perhaps when you wake up, you will find it hard to accept, but I truly can’t stand it anymore, I really want to be with you. After ten plus years of waiting, only to receive this result, how can my heart be willing? I had already investigated and found that your marriage was always hitting bumps and wasn’t as happy as imagined. Since that’s the case, why shouldn’t I take this opportunity to seize you back to my side, allowing you to remain in my embrace for life, never falling into another’s hands? All I want is your companionship, your gentle treatment!”

Chen Gang spoke his inner thoughts to the drunk Ran Zhihan.

......

The sky slowly brightened, as he gazed at the person in his arms, he felt he was the happiest human alive. He finally got the love he wanted. Despite using improper means, it was the satisfaction of a dream fulfilled.

Zhang Yichen watched as his wife was taken home by Chen Gang, not coming out all night. He chose to say nothing, quietly returning home and waiting for his wife’s explanation. He didn’t know what excuse or lie his wife would use to deceive him this time.

Ran Zhihan dazedly opened his eyes, thinking the man beside him was his husband. But when he looked clearly, he realized he had committed the biggest mistake of his life.

”Chen Gang, why is it you? What did you do to me? Why am I here all night? Didn’t you say if I kept you company for a drink last night, you wouldn’t disturb my life anymore? You actually lied to me? How can you treat me this way? What did I ever do to provoke or wrong you? I just want to live my life, is that so difficult? Do you have to barge into my life and turn it upside down to be satisfied? I’ve told you, we can never be together. You’ve left me like this, how can I face my husband? He won’t need to hear a word to know what happened last night. Why do this to me?”

”I have to do this, I want you to divorce your husband. Only then do I have the opportunity to reclaim you back to my side. I just want you to stay by me, although you may not value this, for me it’s the most crucial place of healing. All I want is my most beloved woman, these years I’ve been forcibly suppressing my longing for you, striving hard to study, just so one day I could achieve success, bring you back to my side, and give you the happiest life. But when I returned home, I found you were already married. I don’t care if you’ve had children or married others. I care whether you can be with me!”

Having the person you love and who also loves you in life is so difficult, yet so fortunate!
