My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2081: Chapter 1914: Unfathomable

If there is a next life, I hope we can be happy for a lifetime!

Zhang Yichen decided to arrange a meeting with his mother. He felt that what his grandfather said was absolutely correct: no matter what role his mother played during his upbringing, he, as the younger generation, should never complain about his mother. He didn’t have the right, because if it wasn’t for his mother giving him life, how could he have such a perfect life? His mother brought him so many good things, so why pick and choose throughout his life? He should look forward and always consider things from his mother’s perspective to avoid disappointment.

Xia Jing received Zhang Yichen’s text message and immediately agreed.

The two came to the café...

”I don’t know when you, my mother, again suddenly thought about wanting to live? Did you learn that abroad, but it’s been meaningless for too long? I really want to know what you were thinking back then, why you chose to abandon me again and again, and hurt me over and over. If I did something wrong, would you really dismiss me like that without a second thought? Have you ever thought that your precious son would come into my life? I know, I am the younger generation, I have no right or qualification to question my methods, because you’re my mother, my biological mother. But I just can’t understand why I can be so heartless repeatedly. Isn’t it nice for us to live happily as a family? Or are you really like my son said, which is why you don’t want to see him?”

”Why would you say that? I’ve never thought of your son as a burden; on the contrary, I really love that little boy of yours. I know he is as intelligent as you, almost extraordinary. He hasn’t done a single wrong thing; he’s just like how you were back then! Even though I’m not around, everything he does is to prove to us, the older generation, that abandoning him was the greatest mistake, just like how you once tried to prove abandoning you was a mistake. But have you ever thought why we still heartlessly abandoned you, is it really because we have no conscience? It’s not actually so; it’s just that with many things, we don’t know how to face them. With many things, we need to think carefully and make the right decision, right?”

”My dear mother, if you truly have me, your son, in your heart, I hope you can honestly answer one question for me, okay?”

”Go ahead!”

”I want to know, in your heart, what kind of person am I, your son? I never knew how much my mother loved me, and I didn’t know why my mother chose to abandon me. Many things I don’t say out loud, but inside I am still in pain. I also hope to receive my mother’s love, but why can’t I, like other children, have parents always by my side? Is it because I don’t look good? Or because of someone else? Many times, like my son now, I can’t understand these things inside. I just want to know, why did my parents abandon me time and again? Is abandoning your child really so insignificant to you as parents? Do you truly know? Once a child is abandoned repeatedly by their mother, they will never trust their mother for a lifetime because they think every word their mother says is a lie. They don’t dare believe their mother’s love is genuine, and they will constantly doubt their mother’s intentions. We’ve already missed so many things, so mother, do you still want us to miss even more? What I want isn’t much; I only hope my parents can be by my side, just as I am by my son’s side. I don’t want my son to suffer any pain, but you inflicted too much pain on me, pain I can’t express! Do you know? Because of your heartless departure and refusal to meet my son, my son constantly feels it’s because he’s not cute enough that his grandparents choose not to see him. From birth until now, he has longed to meet his grandparents, but you’ve never given him the chance. You’re always selfish, truly believing every decision you make is correct. Yet you’ve never considered if what you did was right. Do others truly need you to make such decisions? Do others really need to rely on your charity to live their lives? You’ve never thought about why you’re so selfish and self-centered. Aren’t parents supposed to consider their children? But why isn’t it so in your eyes? Living selfishly like this, don’t you get tired?”

”Living this way, how could your mother not be tired? Every day the heart suffers torment, enduring its own pain for not being able to be with a child. But do you know? How much your mother hopes to live with you! Yet, the choice your mother made was wrong, and now there’s no way back for your mother. The decision was made, and even if it’s wrong, you must tread the path, inch by inch, without turning back, without regret pills, child. So your mother hopes that every decision you make, you think carefully. Don’t impulsively make decisions like your father and mother did, only to regret them for a lifetime! I genuinely really love your little son, but it’s my fault, I shouldn’t have made such a decision. I didn’t realize it would bring such harm to your son. None of us thought our impulsive decision back then would bring so much pain to our child. We’ve been trying to make amends, but it’s as if heaven never grants us the opportunity. No matter how we try to amend, there’s no way to fix what happened...”

”I don’t need you to make amends for anything. All I hope for is that you can be by my side, and that would be enough for us. I also hope that you can come back; my son, my wife, including myself all hope you can return. If you truly still have this family in your heart, then please shed all previous disguises and come back now!”

But in this life, I urge you not to wait for me any longer, for who knows when I will return.
