My Alleged Husband

Chapter 2067: Chapter 1900: Black Hair Turns White

Two people holding hands and walking together until their hair turns gray is the happiest thing in this life, and something no one wants to give up.

Zhang Yichen was truly fed up with his parents, always arguing, arguing, and arguing!

Don’t they get tired of arguing every day?

Sometimes he really couldn’t understand what his parents were thinking deep down. The repeated arguments—don’t they realize the kind of harm it causes them? They are already of this age, so why do they still act so thoughtlessly?

The most common sound at home every day is their arguing. He really didn’t understand what meaning does these endless arguments have. Another argument will only make everyone in the house feel that the family is not harmonious at all, and no one wants to see a family in disharmony.

”Can’t you two stop arguing? Every day I come home from work half dead with exhaustion, only to hear the sound of my own parents arguing. Do you think my heart will feel at ease like this? How am I supposed to concentrate on work? Why do you always only consider your own thoughts, without caring if others get hurt by your actions? You are really disturbing my life, do you understand?

You keep saying that staying at home is to make up to me, but is that really compensating me? It’s just harming me again and again. Why do you think like this? Do you come back home just to disrupt me and interfere with every decision I make?”

When Zhang Zhentian heard his son say these things, he sometimes couldn’t help asking himself what he was doing all this for—was it to make the family more happy and joyful, or to harm them again and again?

Clearly he intended to do something good, just wanting to stay by his family, but why everything he did always seemed so meaningless in their eyes.

Xia Jing also couldn’t understand why what she did never got understood by her husband, why their son kept saying such harsh and heartless things to her time and time again. She was his biological mother, so how much must her biological son hate her for a mother to hear such severe words repeatedly?

In their eyes, are they truly worth that little as parents? Nothing at all?

The more Xia Jing thought about it, the sadder she felt. He also wished such things wouldn’t happen to him, but there was nothing he could do. He always wanted his family to live a happy and joyful life, but constant arguing still gave him comfort. Yet some arguments were unavoidable, some disputes made everyone’s situation passive, and strained everyone’s relationships.

Perhaps in the eyes of the whole family, every decision he made was wrong, but who knew he made all the decisions for the family’s own good? Even if he confessed everything, it was merely to ensure honesty and avoid any concealment, so why did his honesty end up being treated like this?

”Yichen, if you feel that we’re interfering with your life by coming home, making your life less peaceful than before, I hope you can understand us—some arguments are unavoidable. I also want us all to live happily, but there’s really nothing I can do about some things!

We don’t know how tiring your work is every day; even though all these years we know what you put into it and what you’ve lost, we never truly understood what your work is like. You are supporting the whole family alone, supporting a company with thousands of employees and even 30,000 workers under you. I know it’s truly exhausting, and any tiny mistake could ruin the whole project!

We as parents aren’t ignorant of the stakes here; we just chose to say nothing. Perhaps only this way we thought was the greatest help to you, because if we interfered with your decisions, you would only grow more resentful of us!”

”I feel you don’t need to say so much; I just want to ask, don’t you find it annoying? Why do you have to argue every single time? When I come home, all I hear is your fighting. If you worked hard outside all day and came home only to hear your family arguing, how would you feel? Wouldn’t you really find it exhausting?

Uh, I come home mentally and physically drained, hoping for a delicious dinner and a word of concern from mom and dad; but what I get is endless arguing instead. How do you think such constant fighting affects me? You’re always concerned about your own interests, but you forget that your family needs your heartfelt concern too.”

”Alright, alright, whatever you say. Don’t worry; from now on, mom and dad will definitely not argue again. You can go to work without worry; we will no longer interfere with your work!”

Xia Jing also understood that what her son said was really true because a household filled with argument would only make everyone feel that the family is far from harmonious. Compared to other families where everyone gets along happily, why is it so difficult to live happily in our own family?

He decided, if for nothing else, then for his child, that from now on there will be no more arguments, because that would make everyone feel she is an unqualified mother, that she only brings endless trouble and annoyance as part of the family.

Maybe his child really did find him too annoying, arguing every day while he worked so hard, how could he not find it irritating?

”Xia Jing, don’t let Yichen’s words get to you. He was just too angry at the moment, that’s why he did this. He’s your son, you should understand him, don’t take his words to heart. Treat me however you used to, don’t restrain yourself because of our son...”

Although everyone has their own path, achieving the most desired outcome is the greatest fortune!
