My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1690: Chapter 1484: How Could One Bear It?

Thinking about how my mother has left me all these years, how did she manage to suppress the longing in her heart for me, staying away for so many years without coming back?

When Zhang Ni learned that his grandparents planned to leave home once again, he was momentarily shocked, he couldn’t believe his grandparents would do such a thing, leaving again and again, why choose to repeat the same mistake now? Do they really see everyone in this family as a means to an end?

Zhang Ni saw that his father was still here, he could hardly believe it—the family was already turned upside down, why could his father continue here as if nothing had happened, not interested at all in what changes might occur? Could it be that his father was really hurt by every word he said, so now he was unwilling to deal with family matters, no matter what the family became, was he truly unwilling to intervene anymore?

This was not the outcome I wanted to see. Although I wanted my dad to spend more time with my mom, if this way forces my father to make a decision, then would I not become the culprit destroying the family’s peace, I must not let this happen. What I still wish for is simply that everyone in the family can be happy, can be joyful, even if everyone at home is unwilling to understand me, so what, as long as I have a clear conscience.

”Dad, I think since you already know that Grandpa and Grandma want to leave this home once again, and stay out for a few days, wanting to abandon all of us again, shouldn’t you go back and have a look?

If you don’t want to go back because I said you didn’t fulfill the responsibility of taking care of my mom, then let me tell you, I will take care of my mom myself, but I also hope you seriously consider whether you want to go back, after all, they are your parents and my grandparents. The fact that they made such a decision today must be for our reasons, don’t you want to go back and try to keep them? Dropping all their dignity and begging to return to this home means deep down, they truly want to stay in the family, but just for a small conflict of ours, they have to leave home again and wander outside for a few days, are we really treating them right with our actions?

You should also understand, that a person wanting to let go of their prejudice to admit their mistakes to the family just to return home, how difficult that is, we shouldn’t place all the blame on them, haven’t we made any mistakes ourselves? We should reflect well like we do, contemplate whether our actions are right or wrong, not always pushing all the faults onto others, others are not your scapegoat, they bear no responsibility to endure all the guilt again and again for us...

Perhaps you think what I said today is indeed a bit too much, but have you ever thought about what kind of courage Grandpa and Grandma mustered to come back to this house and admit their mistakes to us, just hoping for our forgiveness, and let them return without leaving again. But now things have evolved to the current state, I really have no way to understand, do not have any means to accept what kind of reason led to such an outcome, if it’s because of my actions, what should I do to keep them back, everything I did was wrong, I never did a correct thing, what pain and suffering I brought them, I never thought about.

You are their son, it’s already come to this, no matter what you should go back and take a look, at least you should try to retain them, whether they ultimately want to stay or not is their decision regardless of us, but if we don’t even go back, don’t even pay attention, just act indifferently, when they eventually turn to leave, in the end, it will only be said that we as juniors didn’t fulfill a bit of responsibility to our elders, didn’t think of persuading our elders to stay.”

Zhang Yichen indeed didn’t expect his son would say such things, he felt that his son no matter what should carefully consider whether this is right or wrong, but now his son had already spoken to this extent, if he chose not to go back, how could he justify it, all he did was just hoping they could happily stay home, and now even if it turned out like this, all the faults shouldn’t be blamed on his parents, even if they didn’t come back, perhaps this day would still happen, maybe it was predestined, why let them bear this guilt.

Zhang Yichen thought about deciding to go back and see his parents, if they decide to leave this house and don’t want to stay home to accompany him, then he would have nothing to say, if he really didn’t try to keep them, and finally, they leave and never return, the one who would regret it would only be himself.

Zhang Yichen returned home, saw that his parents had already packed all their luggage and were about to leave, he suddenly didn’t know what to say, should he speak up, if he missed this would he really regret it? If he just waited silently here, wouldn’t they not leave so quickly after all? Actually, there wasn’t a definite answer, he understood the character of his parents better than anyone, they would definitely not just stay here.

”You two coming back to this house, are you planning to abandon me again in the current state? I just want to ask you, do you really love me? If you love me, then don’t leave me!

If you choose to leave me today, then no matter if you return or not, I will never forgive you guys again.

I’m not a Saint, I can’t bear my parents hurting me again and again, I can’t remain indifferent, maybe you think all this doesn’t matter, but to me, that’s impossible, if you could think more or less from my perspective, the outcome would be completely different, now knowingly, my wife is in such a state, you choose to leave at this time, doesn’t that make it worse for me?”

If he really loves me, how could he bear to leave me for so many years, but even if he left now shouldn’t he come back to this house right?
