My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1658: Chapter 1452: Capture

”Dad, I understand now, I truly understand what all this you’ve done is for. Now I feel that no matter how the path ahead turns out, no matter if it’s filled with hardships and thorns, as long as our family holds tightly together, never letting go of any one of us, then our family can live happily forever.”

”It’s great that you can understand, but some things shouldn’t be said to others. It’s enough that we father and son understand in our hearts. If we tell others about these things, it might bring unnecessary trouble.”

You know how difficult it is for us to live in this household. These things we’ve done have hurt so many people. We should think, is what we’re doing truly right?”

We’ve made unforgivable mistakes time and again. We must prove through our own ways and actions that all we’re doing is for the good of this family.”

”Dad, but even if we do all these things for the family, in the future we will still have arguments and conflicts for various reasons and methods. At that time, do we still have to swallow our anger and tolerate? Time and again, the end results only come from family members repeatedly hurting oneself. If that’s the case, what is the purpose of living in this turbulent world?”

Living in this turbulent world, everything we do is for our family to live more happily. If that purpose becomes meaningless to us, then I feel there’s no point in living here.”

To live in this chaotic world and protect our own interests is already quite good, how can we take care of the entire family’s interests at the same time?”

You should know very well that interests here are the law, they are the rules of survival.”

To survive, one must go forward without considering anything else, abandoning all of others’ interests.”

In this world, if you want to live happily, first you have to see yourself as more important than others, always prioritizing your own interests. Doing things for people not worth it is a waste. Once some things are done, there’s no turning back; if something’s not done, it means you lack the courage to do it.”

Anywhere, anytime, you should stand for your own interests, abandon what was originally set out for yourself, only to end up with nothing, like drawing water with a bamboo basket. Why let your life be unsettled because of some things? My mom is already like this, I don’t know what attitude to use to face him, I don’t know how to confront everyone in the world.”

Actually, deep down in my heart, every family member is like the best friends I’ve had in my life, anytime, anywhere, I prioritize family interests above all. But I can’t choose to abandon my whole family or personal interests for the sake of family interests. That’s absolutely impossible. Everyone is selfish, that is the real premise of living, making those who hurt you pay a painful price, letting them have no way to understand the kind of pain this is for the rest of their lives.”

”Child, do you feel happy living like this, filled with hatred? Are you truly happy? Pushing yourself step by step onto a dead-end road, at the end will you still have a way back? You’ve given all your fallback to what you want, only for everyone to watch happily, the result of doing this is just causing every family member to feel disappointed in you. You’ve forgotten what your original dream was, you’ve forgotten the original reason you most wanted to prove; you’re numb from going through these things time and again now.”

”I know living with hatred is painful, it makes me live uneasily, but because of hatred, why should I let them laugh happily when I’m in the most unbearable pain? I’m not Saint, I can’t manage that.”

I will make those who’ve hurt me understand, one by one, what it’s like to betray others, I will let them know what price comes after betraying others. There’s a saying in the world, ’people who become despicable are invincible,’ I believe this saying has some truth, but I don’t believe the world has only fairness and no human nature. There is only one impartial opportunity in the world, but who truly speaks justice and can achieve fairness?”

Actually, behind every lie, it’s hurting those you love the most, and who love you the most. They hurt again and again, till others give up, then there’s no reason to continue living like this anymore.”

Once a decision is made, it’s unforgivable forever, even if you admit it has nothing to do with you, some injuries have already occurred, and others won’t forgive you endlessly because of these things.”

Some things can’t be forgiven, you might think I’ve gone too far, but has anyone considered my feelings? They hurt this family, I have no way to let these things just pass, you might go this far for grandpa, but I have no one worth doing this for, when I abandon everything again and again, what ultimately do I gain? Only the most painful hurt, again and again, in others’ eyes I am nothing.”

”Child, you’ve finally understood this truth, in this world, you can only live for yourself, you must not change yourself for anyone or live because of anyone. You’re living for yourself, not for others. As long as you understand this point, you’ve grown much more mature. Some things can be ignored, but it doesn’t mean you won’t care about them. What you most want to do now should be to accompany your mother well, you should let your mom recover soon, let her know that you as her son truly love her from your heart, not just saying it without action. When she wakes up, knowing you’ve done so much for her, she would definitely be very happy.”

As a mercenary, she has grown old...
