My Alleged Husband

Chapter 1689: Chapter 1483: Constellation

No matter what, Zhang Yichen felt uncomfortable deep inside when he heard his father saying those words to his mother. No matter what, they are his parents after all. Since they now know how to come back to this family, why should he stubbornly force them out of the house like before, making them unable to return forever? Does he really have to be so heartless? He’s not an ordinary person, so why measure himself by ordinary people’s standards!

No matter when or where, he ultimately couldn’t ignore his parents, no matter how much they had hurt him in the past.

She only wanted her mom and dad to stay by her side. Now that her parents have returned, why continue being aggressive like before? In the end, avoiding them just pushes herself step by step into the abyss of pain.

Don’t think that by forcing others into your own rules, you can live happily. In fact, it’s the most distressing for him, because you never know if others are genuinely treating you or just being insincere. Sometimes, it’s not others saving you that you should fear; it’s them stabbing you in the back.

”Zhentian, you might be grateful to heaven, and I am equally grateful. It gave me such an outstanding son, allowing me, even in such a circumstance, to return to this family. I really don’t know how to thank heaven enough for its grace!

But for the mistakes I’ve made, no matter what, I must bear them myself. Nobody owes me anything, and I must apologize for every word I’ve ever spoken.

I have hurt innocent people, especially my innocent child. How kind and innocent he is, yet how have I treated him as a mother?

No mother in the world could be as heartless as I am, hurting her own son blissfully unaware, causing pain over and over again. How painful it must be for them?

Maybe that’s why I’ll never receive my family’s forgiveness in this lifetime. What right do I have to ask for it when I’ve hurt so many people? And what right do I have to solicit their forgiveness?”

Zhang Zhentian felt a deep discomfort hearing his wife’s words. Even though he understood that many of their problems were self-inflicted, who willingly admits to all their wrongdoings?

”Stop saying that. We are not Saints.

As long as we are not Saints, who doesn’t make mistakes at times? Even though we’ve made many mistakes before, the fact is we now realize our wrongs and are genuinely trying to correct them. So why must we bear the scars of our past errors repeatedly, just because we made those mistakes before?

I know you are also troubled deep inside, but how could my heart feel any better? He’s also my child, my family member, and they suffered immensely because of us. The memories are vivid and fresh. Even if it’s them, even I cannot forgive myself. I don’t expect much forgiveness from them or understanding, I just hope they let me stay here.

Perhaps staying here won’t change anything, and if their hearts are truly hardened, how could we possibly soften them? How could they forgive us? But I must bear the consequences of my wrongdoings; that is a irrefutable truth that no one can alter.”

Right now, Xia Jing really has no other thoughts or dares to have any. She just wants to quietly accompany her family, but heaven seems to deny them even this opportunity.

”Enough, I don’t want to say anything anymore. The conclusion is destined, and no matter what I sacrifice, I can’t change anything, but to avoid regrets in the future, I will still go all out, even if the outcome isn’t what I desire.”

Zhang Yichen’s heart was tangled, hearing his parents’ conversation. His mother was such a proud person, yet she was willing to sacrifice so much to be back home, to be by his side. In this case, as a son, has he not gone too far? Why wasn’t he willing to genuinely intercede for his parents and let them come back? Just a word could spare them so much struggle and effort, and restore everything in this family. Why was he so indifferent, not helping at all?

He himself didn’t know. There were many hurdles in his heart as well. His parents had hurt and abandoned him, but since he decided to let them come back here, should he sincerely forgive them and let them stay without further suffering?

A single simple sentence, but why couldn’t he say it? Was saying it really that difficult? Just saying it could resolve everything.

”Dad, don’t say anything more. I heard everything you said from outside the door. In fact, your words touched me deeply. I always thought you came back like grandpa, just using those words for the sake of returning home, making us forgive you. But frankly, you didn’t know where you truly went wrong. However, hearing your words now, I understand, you truly understand how outrageous your mistakes were.

Rest assured, since I allowed you to come back then, it definitely won’t happen again. Just stay here peacefully; never think of leaving again. If you do leave, then never return in this lifetime. Coming back and leaving again would only cause us harm over and over. You are my parents, and since you’ve known your wrongs, you’ve already received our forgiveness. All we want is for you to recognize where your faults truly lie! Maybe you’ll feel that this hurts you, but there is no other solution.”

Every zodiac sign has a different mission, and everyone has someone they love the most in their hearts.
