Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Xu Yun said with a straight face, ”You have no idea. Last night, Sister Su was sleepwalking in the middle of the night. Good thing I was careful and deadbolted my bedroom door, or she would’ve gotten her way.”

”Yeah, right. Keep making things up.”

Li Jinshu didn’t believe him at all and couldn’t help but laugh. ”You say Susu was knocking on your door? I think *you* were the one trying to open Susu’s bedroom door, and she was the one who locked it.”

”What kind of person do you take me for?”

”You’ve always been a massive pervert, the kind of guy who can’t walk straight when he sees a beautiful woman. I can’t even imagine how many women you’ve corrupted.”

”Oh, really? So you dare to slander me.”

Xu Yun put on a vicious act. ”Then let this massive pervert corrupt you properly today and show you what I’m made of.”

Li Jinshu laughed. ”Bring it on. I’m not afraid of you.”

「A few hours later.」

If Li Jinshu had harbored any suspicions about Xu Yun and Susu last night, they were completely gone now.

Because she couldn’t believe it.

If Xu Yun had really done something with Susu last night, there was no way he could still be so vigorous and keep going without finishing!

’He’s a man, not a god! There’s no way he could handle this kind of back-to-back workout from us! Is he trying to get himself killed?!’

What she didn’t know was that Xu Yun possessed a Divine Level skill!

Forget two women in a row. Even if a third one joined, he could handle her.

At worst, he’d just have to perform a set of the Eight Pieces of Brocade afterward to quickly recover his mana and health.

「By the time he had placated Li Jinshu, it was already noon.」

Xu Yun got up and walked to the balcony, calling Crane Garden to have them pack and deliver a meal for him and Li Jinshu. He also had them send an identical meal over to Su Mu.

After they finished eating, Li Jinshu rested at home.

Xu Yun, however, left. He needed to deal with the matter from the bar yesterday.

He had to nip any potential threats in the bud to prevent future trouble.

So, he first called Zhao Dong to get all the relevant information on Qin Xun. Then, he sought out Yan Can and had him thoroughly investigate the details of Qin Xun’s family businesses.

Yan Can asked, a little confused, ”Brother Xu, why are you looking into this Qin Xun’s family?”

”We have a little score to settle.”

Xu Yun said, ”While you have people looking into that, find a few professionals to mess with him a bit.”

”How should we mess with him?”

”Get a few cars to ’accidentally’ run into his car on the road from time to time.”

Xu Yun instructed, ”Remember not to take it too far. A sideswipe, a scratch, or a light fender-bender at most. The point is to leave him without a car to drive, to make it impossible for him to get around.”

”Brother Xu, that’s a really dirty trick.”

”I learned it from a certain delivery service tycoon. Just teaching him a lesson without breaking any laws.”

”Got it, Brother Xu. Leave it to me.”

After meeting with Yan Can, Xu Yun originally planned to visit the charity organization. But then Xino called, asking if he was free to visit the children at the orphanage with her.

That girl had been clingy ever since she found out he was back.

Xu Yun thought it was a good idea and agreed.

He first went to Jiangcheng Heaven and Earth to get his electric M9, then drove to the Donghu Villa District to pick up Xino before heading toward the orphanage together.

On the way, Xino, sitting in the passenger seat, sniffed the air and asked with a puzzled look, ”Why do you smell like a woman’s perfume?”

”You have the nose of a dog. It’s that sharp?”

Xu Yun chuckled. ”I just had lunch with a woman, and you can already smell it.”

”Just lunch?”

”Nope.”

Xu Yun replied, ”Before lunch, we slept together. Are you satisfied with that answer?”

”...” Xino was speechless.

”This is just who I am. I never refuse the women who flock around me, and I don’t want to lie to you.”

Xu Yun slammed on the brakes, pulling the car over to the side of the road. ”If you can’t get used to it or can’t accept it, we can end things here.”

The pleasant atmosphere instantly turned heavy with silence.

Xino hadn’t expected Xu Yun to be so ”frank,” stating a fact she already knew—but had pretended not to—without any attempt to hide it.

After a brief silence, Xino turned her head, looking pitiful. ”Then... were the things you said to my dad last night true?”

”They were true.”

Xu Yun answered honestly, ”I like you. I can even give you an official status in the future. But if you want me to only like you, I probably can’t do that.”

”So, can I understand it like this...”

Xino said, ”You’re willing to make me the Empress, but I can’t object to you taking other consorts.”

”Uh, while your analogy is a bit strange, that’s the gist of it.”

”Why? Can’t you just love one person?”

Xu Yun replied, ”Because I don’t believe in love anymore. I only believe in myself, and I only believe in relationships of mutual benefit!”

”Why are you telling me this today?”

Xino said through her tears, ”You could have lied to me! You could have just lied, and I would have believed you.”

”Because I don’t want to lie to you, and I don’t want to lie to any of you.”

Xu Yun said, ”I’m a selfish person, so I’m giving all of you a chance to choose for yourselves.”

”But I’m still a patient. My arm is still in a cast.”

Xino said with a stubborn look on her face, ”I don’t want to hear this. I don’t want to know. I didn’t remember a single word you said today.

All I know is that I’m your girlfriend and you said you’re going to marry me in the future.

Also, my parents can’t find out about you and other women. Otherwise, they’ll be upset and force me to leave you.”

”You’re just lying to yourself.”

Xu Yun said, ”Besides, the truth will come out eventually. Your parents will find out one day.”

”Then we’ll deal with it when they find out.”

Xino said, ”Anyway, for now, I’m yours and you’re mine. I’ll never ask about or meddle in your affairs with other women again.

The Empress is the Empress. That’s still better than a consort!”

”Xino.” Xu Yun was stunned by her words.

He hesitated for a moment, then for the first time, he actively tried to persuade one of his women. ”Actually, with your qualities, you could have better options besides me.”

”There are no better options. You are my best option.”

Xino said firmly, ”Even though you’re a bit of a womanizer, you’re genuinely good to me. I can feel it.”

”...” Xu Yun was silent.

”Even though I might have to share your love with others, for you, I’m willing to compromise and give in!”

”...” Xu Yun was silent.

He was truly shaken by Xino’s words today.

He didn’t believe in love, but Xino’s actions seemed so much like love.

Not for money, not for benefits, but willingly compromising and accepting unfairness for the person she liked.

Besides Chen Xin, this was the second woman who made Xu Yun feel such pure affection!

Faced with such feelings, with such a woman, Xu Yun felt the only thing he could do was treat them well and try his best not to hurt them.

As Xu Yun looked at Xino, she suddenly leaned over and gave him a peck on the lips.

She smiled. ”Alright, I’ll forgive you this time. Don’t you dare talk about breaking up again, or I’ll get really mad.”

”Okay.” Xu Yun smiled, started the car, and continued driving toward the orphanage on the outskirts of the city.

「Half an hour later.」

The car arrived at its destination.

Xu Yun and Xino entered the courtyard together.

Director He was overjoyed to see Xu Yun again.

She led the two of them on a tour of the grounds. Compared to before, the orphanage was completely transformed, with a clean rubber playground and newly added children’s play equipment.

The classrooms had also been renovated with new desks, chairs, and teaching aids, no worse than the facilities at a private kindergarten.

They had hired two more nannies as well.

Recently, they had taken in a new batch of children sent over by the government, including several recently abandoned infants, both boys and girls.

If passersby hadn’t found them in time, they might have been carried off by stray dogs or starved to death.

In the nursery, Xino looked at the tiny babies and listened to the director, saying angrily, ”How could anyone abandon such adorable babies? They’re absolute scum!”

”I know. No matter how hard things get, you can’t abandon your own child. That’s no different from murder.”

Director He changed the subject, sighing with emotion. ”But they were also lucky to end up here. President Xu, you have truly done a monumentally good deed.”

”Not at all.”

Xu Yun said, ”Since I have the ability, I’m just doing what I can.”

Not far away.

Chen Rui said to her classmate, Dou Xiao, ”See him? That man is the President Xu I told you about last time.”
