Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Gao Wenwen had occasionally flown before.

But she had never flown first class or experienced VIP treatment.

But today, thanks to Xu Yun, she got to experience it all at once.

First, they chartered a plane for a low-altitude tour of the scenic area. Then, they flew home in the most comfortable, spacious, and best-serviced first-class cabin.

Throughout the flight, a flight attendant would thoughtfully come over to cover you with a blanket.

When she saw you were awake, she would enthusiastically ask if you were thirsty or hungry, or if you needed any drinks or snacks.

And it was all complimentary.

It was nothing like economy class, where you couldn’t even stretch your legs while sleeping. At mealtime, they just handed you a piece of disgusting bread, without so much as a cup of water!

Finally, at just after 7 p.m., the two of them returned to the familiar city of Jiangcheng.

Despite the two consecutive private flights and the long journey, Gao Wenwen didn’t feel tired at all.

When deplaning, a flight attendant stood at the entrance to the economy section, blocking the people behind. She smiled and let Gao Wenwen disembark first, then directed her to a separate shuttle bus and the exclusive VIP channel.

For passengers accustomed to first class, this was nothing special. But for Gao Wenwen, experiencing it for the first time, she truly felt the superiority that came with privilege.

’So this is what it feels like to be rich. It’s awesome!’

As they left the airport, Gao Wenwen sighed, ”I used to fly economy, eating disgusting bread for lunch and paying for water. I couldn’t even straighten my legs when I tried to sleep, and I had to spend forever in line for security checks.”

”Here, this is for you.”

Xu Yun pulled a platinum membership card from his bag. Eastern Airlines had mailed it to his home as an apology, but he had never used it and didn’t plan to.

But his woman could use it. No sense letting it go to waste.

He said, ”From now on, use this card when you fly. You’ll always get the best service.”

”Mr. Xu.”

Gao Wenwen smiled. ”Are you trying to become your high school classmate’s sugar daddy?”

”Would you be willing?”

”I could be, but only on the condition that you aren’t married.”

Gao Wenwen said, ”If you get married, I’ll cut ties with you completely. I don’t want your wife showing up at my door to tear me apart for being the other woman.”

”Deal.”

Xu Yun said, ”Come on, let’s go get dinner, then get some sleep and rest up. I’ll take you home tomorrow morning.”

”What are we having for dinner tonight?”

”Something to nourish you. We’ll have seafood and abalone, black truffle and caviar, and Buddha Jumps Over the Wall.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Basically, whatever’s expensive and delicious, that’s what we’ll eat.”

”Okay, I’ll follow your lead. I’ve never eaten at an expensive restaurant before.”

Gao Wenwen said, a little worried, ”But what if we go to one of those high-end restaurants and I don’t know the etiquette? What if I make a fool of myself and embarrass you?”

”Don’t worry. When you’re rich, you’re the boss.”

Xu Yun said, ”Even if you go to a Western restaurant and eat steak with chopsticks, as long as you’re eating the most expensive steak and drinking the best wine, they’ll have to bow their heads, smile, and say, ’Miss Gao, you handle those chopsticks beautifully.’”

”Hahaha, you’re so cheeky.”

After their playful banter, Xu Yun decided to take Gao Wenwen to a private kitchen by East Lake for her first dinner in Jiangcheng. He chose Crane Garden again.

After all, aside from restaurants that weren’t open to the public, this was the best one around, and the food was decent.

Xu Yun had called ahead to make a reservation.

As a super VIP client, all the services were naturally impeccable and everything was arranged perfectly.

When the two of them arrived, the manager personally greeted them at the door and escorted them all the way to a private room on the second floor.

Gao Wenwen gasped in constant surprise at the interior, which resembled a waterside Jiangnan landscape. Just like Xu Yun on his first visit, it was like she had stepped into the Grand View Garden.

Xu Yun began to order.

Gao Wenwen listened as he reeled off seven or eight dishes in one breath and was still going. She whispered to him, ”There are only two of us. We can’t eat this much.”

”This room has a minimum charge. We have to order enough to meet it.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Besides, don’t be fooled by the number of dishes. The portion for each one is tiny—gone in a single bite.”

”Huh?”

Gao Wenwen asked, ”What’s the minimum charge here?”

”20,000.”

Gao Wenwen was left speechless.

’Alright then. One meal costs two months of my salary!’

Soon, the food began to arrive.

The dishes were served one by one, and Gao Wenwen ate them as they came.

From the appetizers to the main courses and the small dessert afterward, every dish was exquisite, like a work of art.

But just as Xu Yun had said, the portion for each one was indeed very small.

Except for the final centerpiece, the Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, which was a full portion meant for two!

During the meal, they naturally had some wine as well. They opened a bottle of classic Krug champagne—worth over 80,000 yuan!

At first, Gao Wenwen didn’t know it was so expensive. She just thought this champagne tasted much better than the one she’d had at a friend’s house.

She had figured the wine here wouldn’t be cheap, of course.

But she didn’t know until she asked, and when she did, she was stunned. Over 80,000 yuan. It left her completely dumbfounded.

’This isn’t wine, it’s liquid gold!’

’Every sip is as precious as gold!’

But she didn’t let it show. She forced herself to remain calm, afraid of embarrassing Xu Yun and having the waiter think she was some country bumpkin who had never seen the world.

After they had eaten and drunk their fill and settled the bill, Gao Wenwen had the remaining half-bottle of champagne packed up to take with them, saying she could drink it at home later.

After all, it was worth tens of thousands of yuan!

On the way back, Gao Wenwen said sheepishly, ”Will people make fun of you because I took the wine home?”

”No.”

Xu Yun replied, ”I think you’re the most frugal mistress anyone could ask for.”

”Sigh. I’m just a small-town girl. The most expensive bag I’ve ever carried is still the Louis Vuitton you gave me last time.”
