Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Xino was already worried about Xu Yun.

She knew exactly what kind of personality, temper, and presence her father had.

Whenever the executives from his company came to their home, they would be on pins and needles in front of her father after entering the tea room. They were terrified of him.

Because her father had never been a gentle person.

Even her own brother would get a vicious tongue-lashing if he did something wrong and was called in.

Only she and her mother received different treatment.

And Xu Yun?

After spending time with him these past few days, she knew Xu Yun wasn’t a man who backed down from anyone.

If someone provoked him, he wouldn’t just swallow his pride and take it!

Xino said, ”Bro, Xu Yun isn’t actually going to get into a fight with Dad, is he?”

”Who knows.”

Xi Wei looked at his sister’s now-smileless face and deliberately asked, ”If they do start fighting later, whose side will you be on?”

”I’ll help Xu Yun...”

Xi Wei: ”Why???”

”Because everyone in the family will help Dad.”

Xino explained, ”When the time comes, it won’t matter if it’s you, Mom, the driver, or the housekeeper. Xu Yun can’t win against all of you by himself.

But as long as I help him, you can’t bully him. And he can’t bully you guys either. That makes it a draw!”

Xi Wei was speechless.

’What a clever little devil you are!’

”Actually, there’s another way.”

Xi Wei said, ”Find a way to let me in. I’ll stand by and keep an eye on Xu Yun and Dad for you. If any trouble starts between them, I’ll stop it immediately.”

”Let me think.”

”You still have to think about it?”

”Of course.”

Xino said worriedly, ”What if you’re tricking me? What if you go in and team up with Dad to bully him?”

Xi Wei was speechless again.

’Damn it!’

’What kind of magic spell did that Xu Yun cast on my sister? She’s completely devoted to him!’

Even he, her own brother, was getting a little jealous!

「In the tea room.」

Xu Yun stepped inside.

As the simple, unadorned wooden door opened, a faint, tranquil, and elegant aroma of tea drifted out on the breeze.

Pushing the door open, he was greeted by the sight of an exquisitely arranged Chinese-style tea room.

Inside, sandalwood-colored tables and chairs exuded a light, woody fragrance. A sophisticated set of Zisha clay teaware sat on the table. The teapot was stout and archaic, with several small teacups arranged neatly beside it.

In a corner stood a lush potted plant, its sturdy branches adorned with delicate green leaves, adding a touch of vitality to the room.

On another wall hung a landscape painting. The ink work vividly depicted distant mountains and nearby waters, making one feel as if they were in the serene Jiangnan Water Village itself.

Xu Yun and Xino’s father sat opposite each other, both sizing the other up.

For Xu Yun, this was the first time he had ever felt the so-called ”aura of a superior.”

Although the man just sat there with a smile on his face, looking very approachable, he inexplicably exuded an invisible pressure.

His eyes seemed as if they could see right through him at any moment.

’Good thing I have nothing to hide. An undisguised self is the best disguise of all.’

”Sir, shouldn’t we chat a little?”

Xu Yun spoke up. ”The two of us just sitting here in silence is a bit awkward.”

”Just ten more seconds and the water in this kettle will be boiling.”

The man, Xi Huai’an, sized Xu Yun up again for a moment before saying with a smile, ”Once we’ve prepared the tea, we can talk while we drink. I still haven’t brought myself to drink the tea you gave me last time. Let’s try it together.”

”You have very refined tastes, Sir.”

Xu Yun replied, ”I know a little about tea culture myself, but I’m a lazy person, so I usually just prefer some happy water. It’s simple and direct.”

”It’s normal for young people not to enjoy tea these days,”

Xi Huai’an said. ”But once you reach a certain age, you’ll grow to love it.”

”Perhaps.”

”But you just said you know a little about tea culture?”

Xi Huai’an seemed a bit surprised. He asked pointedly, ”Are you bluffing, or do you really know something?”

”I can only say I know a little.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Otherwise, I wouldn’t have spent so much to buy this tea at auction. But I’m sure that compared to you, Sir, my knowledge is nothing to look at.”

”For a young person these days, knowing anything about tea culture is already quite impressive.”

Xi Huai’an looked at the boiling water and asked probingly, ”Do you know how to prepare tea?”

”I taught myself for a few days, so I’m not sure what my skill level is.”

”Then why don’t you give it a try?”

”Sir, letting me practice on such fine tea... wouldn’t that be a waste?”

Xi Huai’an replied, ”You’re the one who gave it to me anyway. Don’t worry about it.”

’In reality, he just wanted to see if Xu Yun knew a little, or if he knew nothing at all.’

’If he knew a little, then he was telling the truth, and it would be fine.’

’But if he knew nothing and was just spouting nonsense in front of him, his impression of Xu Yun would be instantly cut in half.’

”Alright, I’ll give it a shot then.”

Xu Yun knew the man was testing him. He smiled, nodded in agreement, and wasn’t the least bit flustered.

’Since the man wanted to see him make a fool of himself to gain the upper hand in the coming conversation, he couldn’t let himself be underestimated. He had to subtly show his own worth.’

Xu Yun himself didn’t know how to prepare tea, but then again, he had the system.

He had just spent 5 million to purchase a high-level ”Tea Skill” from the system store and had it activated.

It could be said that his tea preparation skills were now no worse than those of a professional tea master.

Xu Yun looked at the teacups before him. He hadn’t recognized them before, but now he did.

There were Xiaoya series Blue and White Interlocking Lotus Stem Cups, Imitation Ming Dynasty Blue and White Dragon and Seawater Inner-Painted Cups, Shangci Guan Yao’s Eight Auspicious Symbols Large Bowls, and Doucai Chicken Cups. Each one was priced at over 100,000.
