Super Rich by Doing as You Please

Li Jinshu watched Chen Ran disappear into the living room, not expecting her to move in today.

’Wasn’t she supposed to come tomorrow, according to the plan?’

Her face flushed red as she whispered to Xu Yun, ”Look what you’ve done. This is so embarrassing for me!”

”How was I supposed to know you had someone else in the house!”

”And whose fault is that?”

Li Jinshu couldn’t help but shoot him a glare. ”You’re the one who sent this woman to me. She has nowhere else to stay for now, so I had no choice but to let her live here for a while.

And another thing—you go on one trip and send three women back to us!

One for me, two for President Liang... Susu is the only one you haven’t sent someone to!”

”Er...”

Xu Yun gave an awkward laugh and explained, ”I just saw how capable she was and brought her back to help you expand the business.”

”You’d better hope that’s all it is!”

Li Jinshu said, ”If she’s another one of your kept women, then move her somewhere else. Out of sight, out of mind.

I know I can’t control you, but you can’t just bully me like this, can you?”

”Understood.”

Xu Yun glanced toward the other room and asked, ”So, what do we do now? Do we continue, continue, or... continue?”

”Let’s just forget about it for tonight.”

Li Jinshu said, a little reluctantly, ”Wait until she goes to work tomorrow, then we can...”

”Sigh, my life is so tragic.”

Xu Yun lamented, ”My own house, my own woman, and I still have to act like we’re having a secret affair!”

”Oh, don’t be so sad.”

Li Jinshu smiled consolingly. ”I’ll make it up to you properly tomorrow during the day.”

”Alright, then.”

Xu Yun feigned disappointment. ”You get some sleep. I’ll be heading out.”

”Mm.”

After they shared a farewell kiss at the door, Li Jinshu went to Chen Ran’s bedroom.

She knocked on the door and said, ”Chen Ran, you can come out. Xu Yun is gone. Let’s talk about work tomorrow.”

’Since my night of passion is ruined, I need another way to distract myself.

Otherwise, I won’t be able to sleep at all tonight.’

Xu Yun left Li Jinshu’s place and returned to Su Mu’s residential complex.

At the gate, he saw Li Yonghua, who was on the night shift, dozing off. He walked up and woke him. ”Hey, are you slacking off and sleeping on the job?”

”Xu Yun?”

Li Yonghua, startled awake, looked at him in surprise. ”What do you want?”

’Come to think of it, he hadn’t seen the guy in quite a while.

But his car was always coming and going, driven by two young, beautiful women.

He even suspected his own sister had broken up with him, which was why he wasn’t living here anymore.

Logically, since he couldn’t find his sister here, he and his mother should have left. But the pay from the property management company was just too good, more than they expected, so they couldn’t bring themselves to leave!’

”Nothing.”

Xu Yun smiled. ”Just wanted to remind you to be a good guard. Don’t fall asleep. Protect the safety of our residents and their property. If I catch you slacking again, I’ll file a complaint.”

”...” Li Yonghua was speechless.

He watched Xu Yun walk away, grinding his teeth in hatred.

He wasn’t afraid of Xu Yun cursing him or hitting him anymore. What he feared was Xu Yun filing complaints against him for no reason.

According to the property management’s rules, a single complaint from a resident in a month would cost them their performance bonus.

And if they accumulated more than five complaints, they would be fired on the spot!

Normally, as long as you didn’t go out of your way to provoke them, the residents rarely had the time or inclination to pick on a security guard and keep a close eye on them.

’Except for this Xu Yun, who always seems to have it in for me!’

He’d already been reported once!

To be on the safe side, he wouldn’t dare doze off again during his shift tonight.

Xu Yun arrived on the 19th floor, where there were only two apartments.

One was his, where Yu Xuan and Ning Qian were living. The other was Su Mu’s, where she lived alone.

He walked up to his own door and pressed his ear against it. It sounded like a movie was playing inside, and the volume was quite loud.

’Those two really know how to relax.’

After eavesdropping for a moment, he went to Su Mu’s door, skillfully entered the passcode, and let himself in.

The living room was empty.

The sound of running water came from the bathroom.

’Looks like Su Mu is taking a shower.’

’Perfect timing. I wanted to take a shower too. Might as well do it together.’

In the living room, he stripped off his clothes in a flash, leaving on only his boxers. He then tiptoed toward the bathroom.

When he reached the door, he saw that Su Mu was listening to music and hadn’t noticed him at all. He decided to give her a little surprise.

Reaching out, he flipped the switch, turning off the bathroom light.

The room was plunged into darkness.

Su Mu, who was in the middle of her shower, froze for a second. ”Huh? Did the power go out?” she wondered aloud.

She immediately put on the bathrobe she had left nearby. Just as she was about to feel her way out in the dark to see what was wrong, a body pressed against her from behind, holding her tight.

”Don’t move, and don’t scream. Or I won’t be so nice!”

Su Mu’s body stiffened, her face paled. She tried to calm herself down and said with a tremor in her voice, ”We can talk this out. How much money do you want? I can give it to you.”

”Heh heh heh.”

Xu Yun chuckled wickedly. ”I don’t want money. I want you.”

Even though Xu Yun was disguising his voice,

Su Mu, standing in the dark, recognized his voice instantly.

’This sneak attack again? He’s insufferable.

I was really scared to death just now. I thought a real burglar had broken in!

Turns out it was just Xu Yun, the thief in the house.’

Once Su Mu realized the person behind her was Xu Yun, her fear and tension vanished.

Her taut nerves and tense body relaxed.

’Since you want to play this kind of scene, I’ll play along.

Let’s see if you still like it after this.’

”Oh, sure. As long as you don’t hurt me, I’ll do anything.”

Su Mu said, flustered and annoyed, ”If you want to get into character, go find an actress to play with you.”

”Er.”

Xu Yun dropped the act and returned to his normal voice. ”You knew it was me all along?” he asked awkwardly.

”I’d be a pretty big failure if I couldn’t even recognize my own man’s voice.”

Su Mu scoffed and asked, ”So what now? Are we turning on the lights, or should I keep playing along with you in the dark?”

”Forget it. Let’s keep the lights off this time.”

Xu Yun started taking off Su Mu’s bathrobe. ”Let’s start with a little fun in the water.”

「One hour later.」

The bathroom light came on.

After their shower, Xu Yun carried Su Mu out of the bathroom. He planned to take a halftime break to refuel before starting the second half.

The night was still young, after all.

In the living room, Su Mu snuggled in Xu Yun’s arms and asked quizzically, ”How did you get here so quickly? I thought you’d stay at Li Jinshu’s place a while longer.”

”She has a guest over, so it wasn’t convenient.”

Xu Yun said, ”So I came straight here.”

”Don’t play that game again.”

Su Mu pinched his waist and complained, ”For a second there, you really scared me to death.”

”What if it hadn’t been me? What if it was a real intruder? What would you have done?”

Su Mu retorted, ”What would you want me to do?”

”I don’t know.”

”Hmph.”

Su Mu mercilessly called him out. ”You men all want us to die before we submit, to avoid you being cuckolded, regardless of whether it was by choice or by force.”

”...”

Xu Yun wanted to argue, but what Su Mu said was the truth.

”Honestly, if you were really in that situation,”

Xu Yun said, ”the most important thing is to save yourself and stay alive. Nothing else matters...”

”And then what? If I survived, would you still want me?”

”No.”

Xu Yun thought for a moment, then answered honestly, ”But I would give you a large sum of money so you could live a good life.”

”Hypocrite.”

Su Mu smiled. ”Don’t worry. If I really encountered a situation like that, I definitely wouldn’t give in without a fight.

And if I couldn’t protect my innocence in the end, I probably wouldn’t be able to go on living. I’d rather die and be done with it than become a burden on your conscience.”

”...” Xu Yun was silent.

At that moment, he unconsciously held Su Mu a little tighter.

Su Mu sensed the shift in his emotions and looked up at him. ”What are you doing? Are you moved that I’d keep myself pure for you?”

”No. I just suddenly feel the urge to love you properly one more time.”

Xu Yun lifted her up and said, ”Come on, to your bedroom. I, Zhao Zilong of Changshan, can’t wait another second.”

”Mmm...”

Su Mu gave a giddy laugh and challenged, ”I don’t believe you can charge in and out seven times.”

”Hmph, then you just watch me!”
