Super Rich by Doing as You Please

A reunion after a long separation is sweeter than a honeymoon, and that’s not just a saying.

Especially since the two had also had a heart-to-heart before bed.

So, for the rest of the night, they were far more than just a little wild.

After one night, they’d gone through three sets of sheets and five pillows. Even for a warrior like Zhao Zilong of Changshan, he felt slightly drained.

The next day, Su Mu skipped work for the first time.

After having breakfast with her at home, Xu Yun left.

Before he left, Su Mu asked, already knowing the answer, ”Going to Jinshu’s place in the next complex over?”

”Mhm.”

Xu Yun didn’t hide it, smiling as he said, ”We already agreed. I can’t play favorites!”

”Last night... can your body handle it?”

Su Mu asked with some concern, ”Why don’t you take a day off? I can call Jinshu and make up an excuse for you.”

”It’s fine. I can handle it.”

Xu Yun smiled, then suddenly remembered something. ”Oh, right. You should stop taking those pills. Taking too many is bad for you.”

”It’s not like I want to take them.”

Su Mu said plaintively, ”But if I don’t, what if I get pregnant?”

”If you get pregnant, we’ll have the baby.”

Xu Yun hesitated for a moment before replying, ”It’s not a big deal. I might not be able to give you and the child an official status, but you won’t lack for anything you’re due.”

”Okay, I understand.”

Su Mu smiled. ”Go on, don’t keep her waiting.”

”Then get some rest. I’ll call the Crane Garden Restaurant later and have them deliver some good food.”

”Okay.”

Watching Xu Yun close the door and leave, Su Mu’s expression softened.

However, the moment he was gone, she got out of bed and took her pill.

Xu Yun’s words just now had moved her.

’Whether he meant it or not, his attitude was certainly commendable.’

’As for having a child, even if Xu Yun truly wanted to and didn’t mind, she wasn’t ready for it yet.’

’Because once she had a child, her relationship with Xu Yun would be set in stone, with no room for regret.’

’It wasn’t that she didn’t like Xu Yun, but with Li Jinshu in the picture, her situation was just too awkward.’

’Two best friends in love with the same man, sleeping with him behind each other’s backs... She already felt guilty and ashamed.’

’Before, she had always comforted herself with the excuse of physical need.’

’But as time went on, her feelings for Xu Yun had transformed from a physical need into a psychological one.’

’This past month of separation, in particular, had made her even more certain of her feelings.’

’But until she figured out how to resolve the relationship between herself, Xu Yun, and Li Jinshu, she couldn’t bring herself to fully accept it or make it public.’

’For now, her strategy was to hide it for as long as she could!’

’Her only advantage was that Jinshu was in a similar position—also someone who couldn’t be with him publicly.’

’In other words, she was also a mistress with no official status!’

’Xu Yun’s family background dictated that his official girlfriend, or wife, had to be a woman of equal social standing.’

’As far as she knew, no such woman had appeared yet.’

’Not even that Jiang Muqing from last time fell into this category.’

’Her charity, after all, only existed because it relied on Xu Yun.’

’Su Mu wasn’t like other women, just living one day at a time.’

’She thought a lot, analyzing all the different women around Xu Yun, hoping to find the most suitable role for herself in his life.’

’And to do that, she needed to preserve her freedom of choice.’

After leaving Su Mu’s complex, Xu Yun walked for about ten minutes and ducked into a high-end complex not far away.

Before going upstairs, he sent Li Jinshu a text message.

[You alone?]

Soon, Li Jinshu’s reply came back.

[Alone.]

Xu Yun smiled, put his phone away, and headed upstairs.

’Sigh...’

’Coming back to his own home, to fuck his own woman, and he still had to sneak around and hide from people.’

’Anyone who didn’t know better would think he was sleeping with someone else’s wife.’

With a practiced press of his finger on the scanner, Xu Yun went inside.

The living room was empty.

Xu Yun walked toward the bedroom and saw that the door was ajar, hearing the sound of water from within.

”Washing up again?”

Xu Yun pushed the door open, went straight to the en-suite bathroom, and saw Li Jinshu half-sitting in the bathtub. Her hair was up, and she was still wearing a black off-the-shoulder mesh top and a white camisole.

There was white foam on her hair, her collarbones, and her legs.

’She must have heard him come in and jumped in here in a hurry.’

Xu Yun looked down at her and teased with a smile, ”You don’t even take your clothes off to take a bath?”

”I was waiting for you to come and take them off for me.”

Li Jinshu tilted her head back and replied, ”Besides, don’t you like this kind of wet-look temptation?”

”So you know how to play games with me now. Who taught you that?”

Xu Yun knelt, wiped the foam from her face, and said, ”You look like a messy little kitten right now.”

”I can’t help it.”

Li Jinshu knelt up, looking aggrieved, and wrapped her arms around Xu Yun’s neck. ”If I don’t keep finding new ways to please you and keep you here, you’ll run off with another woman in the blink of an eye.”

”That’s a heartless thing to say.”

Xu Yun slapped her wet bottom. ”I came straight here the moment I woke up. I haven’t even had breakfast yet.”

”I don’t believe you. It’s after ten. Susu didn’t make you breakfast?”

”No.”

Xu Yun said, ”She left for work early. I was still asleep when she got up.”

”Last night, you two...”

Li Jinshu asked tentatively, ”Nothing happened, right?”

”You’ve got some nerve asking. Something almost did happen.”
