This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Small, numerous, red—these are the direct characteristics of the erythema, which appears very itchy and uncomfortable.

However, there’s no other option but to allow the skin rash toxin to manifest through the surface; suppressing it and hoping to adjust internally is absolutely not feasible.

If mishandled, any accident could lead to secondary blood poisoning.

If such a situation really occurs, Du Heng is fully aware that he has no solution or assurance.

But it’s not okay to let the skin rash toxin manifest like this either.

Letting these red rashes manifest means that once the skin rash toxin is completely expelled, there will be countless small scars left on the child’s face and body.

And these small scars may not completely fade throughout the child’s development.

If they don’t fade, for a girl, it’s something completely unacceptable.

Fortunately, this point did not trouble Du Heng; after a brief thought, he called Li Jianwei to have some Cool and Moisturizing Ointment prepared.

The Cool and Moisturizing Ointment he prepared this time will not only reduce the itching and burn caused by the manifestation of the skin rash toxin but also ensure no marks are left on the skin afterwards.

After dinner and seeing Zhang Sumei off, Wu Shengnan completely relaxed, no longer appearing awkward and uncomfortable as before, while soothing the child, and started chatting quietly with Du Heng.

”Husband, I want to breastfeed the child.” Wu Shengnan lowered her head, speaking softly with her idea.

Du Heng immediately responded with an ”okay,” ”Sure, that’s a good thing.”

”But...” Wu Shengnan turned to look at Du Heng, her eyes filled with disappointment and grievance.

Seeing Wu Shengnan’s eyes reminded Du Heng that Wu Shengnan had returned her milk, now wanting to breastfeed was really just wishing.

Wu Shengnan looked at Du Heng pitifully, ”Husband, this situation has been going on for at least three to four days, and my chest feels extremely full, but there’s no sign of any milk.

Is it because I’ve been too anxious these days, too stressed? Is there no way?”

Du Heng said nothing but took Wu Shengnan’s hand to check her pulse, then examined her tongue coating, and finally assessed the distention pain Wu Shengnan mentioned.

After the check-up, Du Heng smiled comfortingly, ”Indeed, this is caused by anxiety and stress.

The main reason, however, is excessive worry, resulting in qi stagnation and a stifled feeling.”

Wu Shengnan saw Du Heng’s expression and felt a surge of joy in her heart, ”Husband, do you have a solution?”

Du Heng nodded without hesitation, ”Of course, there’s a solution.

The abundance of qi and blood is where mammary gland secretions form, related to the Yangming meridian.

However, Yangming belongs to earth, which must have liver wood’s qi communicating, making the secretions sweet; the process relies on qi, not purely blood transformation.

Now you’re experiencing fullness and pain; this is a sign of qi stagnation, preventing blood from converting into milk.”

”Oh, if you have a solution, quickly tell me what it is.” Wu Shengnan was dissatisfied with Du Heng explaining the rationale; she just wanted to be a competent mother.

Du Heng pursed his lips; he disliked discussing with medical laypersons like Wu Shengnan; it was a waste of emotion, lacking appreciation for himself.

But speaking realistically, he actually enjoyed the feeling of Wu Shengnan not treating his expertise seriously; otherwise, it would feel like being in the consultation room even at home.

”The solution is simple—to invigorate liver wood’s qi, all your problems will be resolved, and you can resume breastfeeding within two days.”

Du Heng eased Wu Shengnan’s mind and then picked up the phone to call Li Jianwei.

This time, he truly felt a bit sorry.

Since returning home, he hadn’t visited his Teacher but had been constantly troubling the Teacher and seeking his help.

However, Li Jianwei obviously did not think this way; he readily promised to help.

By the next day, the child’s rashes worsened, becoming even more vivid red than the previous day.

Even after applying the Cool and Moisturizing Ointment made the night before, the child still seemed very uncomfortable.

Furthermore, due to the prominent manifestation of skin rash toxin, the child once again developed a high fever, preventing Du Heng from leaving the child’s side, needing to attentively monitor the child’s condition.

When Wang Pan and others came to visit Du Heng and the child, they found Du Heng helplessly comforting the crying child.

The arrival of Wang Pan and the others also woke up Wu Shengnan, who had just closed her eyes.

After a glance at everyone, Wu Shengnan stepped forward to replace Du Heng, allowing him to speak with his Colleagues.

Du Heng awkwardly said to Wang Pan, ”Principal Wang, I’m truly sorry for taking up everyone’s time because of my situation.”

Wang Pan shook his head gently, ”Your issue is more important than anything.”

Du Heng took a deep breath, ”Principal Wang, don’t worry. At most, another week, the child will be fine, and I won’t need to watch over her constantly. Then we can continue with the upcoming plan.”

Wang Pan pursed his lips and softly said, ”I just heard about your daughter’s situation from your Teacher yesterday, so our plan isn’t urgent; everything should prioritize the child’s health.

Even if we can’t complete the plan during summer vacation, we can postpone it to winter break.”

Du Heng gratefully glanced at Wang Pan and his other Colleagues, sincerely expressing his thanks.

Wang Pan waved his hand, making Du Heng feel not too polite, then paused slightly before saying, ”Mr. Du, then take care of your child in these few days, and also have a good reunion with your family. Come back when you finish your tasks.

We booked the flight for this afternoon and are ready to go back.”

Du Heng became anxious upon hearing this.

This journey home turned into a wasteful trip due to his affairs, causing everyone to idle in Jinzhou for so many days, and he felt very guilty.

”Principal Wang, why rush back? I was planning to have everyone try Jinzhou’s special cuisine and enjoy the scenery.”

Du Heng spoke quickly and urgently, ”Why are you ready to leave right after meeting? It makes me so...”

Wang Pan suddenly reached out and patted Du Heng, ”Next time, next opportunity, we will definitely have a good tour, but we must return; something happened in the Capital.”

Du Heng was startled and quickly asked, ”What happened? Is it serious?”

Wang Pan sighed, speaking slowly, ”It’s that Sir Huang from your Hospital has passed away, and I need to go back for condolences.”

Du Heng’s mind blanked momentarily; he asked incredulously, ”Principal Wang, you mean Sir Huang from our Hospital’s Breast Department?”

”Yes.” Wang Pan nodded heavily, ”Sir Huang made an indelible contribution to the development of our Breast Department, elevating our understanding and treatment of mammary gland diseases by several levels.”

Du Heng had met Sir Huang once; the Elderly’s skill and expertise completely captivated him, a TCM, with just one surgery.

Now hearing this news, he felt very heavy-hearted.

Wang Pan took a gentle breath, ”Then, Mr. Du, you focus on taking care of your daughter, and we will head back first.”

At this point, Du Heng had no reason to hold Wang Pan back, instead, he directly saw Wang Pan and others off.

Sirs like Sir Huang have surpassed modern medicine and traditional medicine practitioners, worthy of admiration and emulation by all peers.

If it weren’t for the need to stay with his daughter now, Du Heng himself would be very keen to go back.

Right after seeing off Wang Pan and others, Du Heng received a phone call from Director Wu of the Hospital, who informed him of the details.

Yet, he was like Wang Pan, telling Du Heng to take good care of his daughter.

Helplessly, Du Heng could only settle down and take care of his daughter well.

Two days later, Wu Shengnan was thrilled to begin breastfeeding again, and the child’s erythema finally showed signs of receding, starting to shrink and turn dark red.

It was at this point that Du Heng could finally spare some time to attend to his affairs.

The first thing he did was call Kang Zhirong over, had a thorough talk about his issues, with both criticism and comfort, and offered some advice at the end.

Once he heard that everything had been properly handled, Du Heng let him go and got him to take him to find Liao.

Previously, Liao had helped him pass on the gratitude fee to his fellow townsman, now he needed to thank Liao personally and repay the money.

Upon hearing Du Heng’s intention, Liao directly patted his shoulder, saying, ”Between brothers, no need for formalities.”

After chuckling, Liao looked at Du Heng, saying, ”It’s rare for you to come back. Why not visit your nephew? The child knows how to call people now; don’t you want to hear him call ’Uncle’?”
