This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Putting on airs?

Emotional manipulation?

The gloom on Du Heng’s face gradually dissipated, but his eyes carried a hint of mockery.

He could see it now; the Mr. Wang in front of him might present himself as an earnest worker, but deep down, he was likely cunning to the extreme, even unscrupulous.

Du Heng didn’t get angry or make a frantic rebuttal; instead, he glanced at Mr. Wang again and slowly said, ”Mr. Wang, don’t use this to manipulate me.

I am a TCM doctor, and I have treated more diseases with Chinese herbal medicine than you’ve ever heard of.”

As Du Heng finished speaking, Mr. Wang showed his anger, ”Doctor Du, if you acknowledge the efficacy of Chinese herbal medicine, then why are you unwilling to help us?

We’ve put in a lot of heart strength to develop new medicine; we do want to make money, but we also care for the patient’s well-being and aim to promote Chinese herbal medicine better.”

Although Mr. Wang spoke with fervor, to Du Heng, it sounded like a shameless roar from a fat man.

Unconsciously, his lips curled in mockery.

Surveying the middle-aged fat man before him again, Du Heng coldly said, ”Help you? Why should I help you?

Let’s not even discuss Western medicine’s definition and treatment of nodules; from a traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis perspective, lung nodules can be categorized into different types such as accumulations of fire or stagnation of cold dampness.

Moreover, many current nodule patients develop them due to their occupations, leading to occupational diseases.

Chinese herbal medicine uses the bias of treatment to correct the body’s biases, bringing balance to a person’s organs.

That means, depending on the disease cause, the prescribed medicine can be entirely different.

Even if nodules are caused by accumulations of fire, you’d need to consider whether it’s kidney fire flaring up or liver fire due to emptiness, and prescribe accordingly.”

Du Heng spoke slowly, yet his words were forceful and every syllable was clearly transmitted to Mr. Wang’s ears.

All this while, Gu Qinghong, who had been indifferent, now showed a hint of embarrassment through his expression.

Seems like today’s dealings hadn’t gone well.

After a small pause, Du Heng continued, ”Now, Mr. Wang, please tell me, what type is your miracle medicine targeting to eliminate lung nodules?

Additionally, the biggest issue in treating nodule-related diseases is that once the nodule is controlled, calcium and fibrosis can occur in its location.

If your medicine indeed eliminated the nodules, then does it also solve the problems of calcium and fibrosis?”

Mr. Wang showed anger and embarrassment on his face.

He couldn’t understand; why did this person, who is supposedly involved in traditional Chinese medicine, have half his inquiry based on Western medicine perspectives?

Could it be that he’s so idle that he has time to study Western medicine?

Furthermore, with an exposure worth one yuan, and his video’s views mostly in the millions – wouldn’t it be more comfortable to just earn money?

Consider those science doctors cooperating with him; they agree so readily and work even harder in videos. Why can’t Du Heng be the same?

The muscle at Du Heng’s eye corner subtly contracted, causing his eyelid to twitch repeatedly, ”Mr. Wang, after all that, you still haven’t answered me whether your company’s drug has the license to go public?

By the way, let me ask another question, which expert is leading the development of this medicine you speak of?”

Mr. Wang swallowed hard, ”Doctor Du, for now we’re using the medicine as a health product, we’re in the process of...”

”Health product?” Du Heng’s face couldn’t help but darken again, and he even glanced at Gu Qinghong beside him.

Taking a deep breath, after suppressing his urge to curse, Du Heng spoke, ”Mr. Wang, since you’re in business, you surely know the difference between health products and medicine.

Now you want me... no, from what you said, you’ve already started advertising it can remove nodules, having therapeutic effects, well this is illegal.”

Opposite him, Mr. Fat Wang’s face twitched; he hadn’t succeeded in his deception and had created a problem for himself, ”Doctor Du, I’ve been actively following the process now.

But as you know, the medication approval process is quite complex and rigorous; it’s not something you can get quickly.”

Du Heng just waved his hand, interrupting Mr. Wang once again, ”Mr. Wang, you shouldn’t be telling me this, and I’m not particularly interested. You should be talking to the relevant regulatory departments and the consumers who’ve already bought your products.

One last thing, thanks for your hospitality today, Mr. Wang.”

After saying these, Du Heng didn’t want to speak another word to the fat man in front of him.

All talk, no truth, and what they’re doing is just being ambiguous within the limits.

Nodule disease might not be life-threatening immediately, but if you miss the optimal treatment period, the consequences for the patient can be unbearable.

With their current actions, it’s no exaggeration to say they’re pursuing wealth at the cost of lives.

Du Heng was genuinely angry this time, and regarding the intermediary Gu Qinghong, he had no intention of showing face, directly saying with a stern face, ”Be more careful from now on, don’t introduce just anyone.”
