This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

The patient looked at Du Heng with a face full of surprise, ”Doctor, how did you know? Ever since I got married, I’ve become a housewife, but my husband feels sorry for me and hired a nanny, so apart from looking after the child, I haven’t really done any housework.”

Du Heng returned to his seat, then looked at the patient and said, ”That’s the reason for your back pain. You’ve got this condition from being idle.”

At this, the patient finally relaxed completely, let out a breath and asked Du Heng, ”Doctor, what medicine do you recommend for my condition?”

Hearing the patient once again concerned about what medicine to take, Du Heng shook his head and said, ”Didn’t I just say, your condition is from idleness, no need for medication.

You, just exercise more when you have free time, go for runs, dance, do housework. As long as you get moving and shake off this belly, your back pain will naturally disappear.”

Although Du Heng was speaking the truth, for the patient, not taking medicine when sick felt like something was missing, so she persistently asked, ”Doctor, really no need to take any medicine?”

Du Heng said helplessly, ”This is long-term lack of exercise and obesity causing physical weakness.

If you insist on taking medicine, I can prescribe it, but the medicine won’t be very effective.

Moreover, if you don’t exercise or move, and can’t lose that body fat, then no medicine will help. Once you stop the medication after a few days, the back pain will return.

If you really have a lot of money and are willing to bear the consequences of medication, then prescribing this medicine is no problem. I could even earn some money then.”

After hearing Du Heng’s words, the patient became conflicted. Du Heng patiently explained once more, ”So, you now have two options.

Either start taking medication from today without stopping for a single day, or go home and begin exercising vigorously.

Initially, your body might not be used to the exercise; don’t rush and don’t be too hard on yourself. Increase the amount gradually, and as your body gets accustomed and you mentally accept this habit, then your condition will be completely cured.”

After saying this, seeing the patient still hesitating, Du Heng thought for a moment and continued, ”For example, you can go home and make a plan.

Today, just do one thing, mop the floor in your house, and then the next day, continue mopping, and wipe down the tables and sofas in your house, tidy them up.

By the third day or after a week, well, you mop the floor, wipe the sofas and tables, then wipe the windows, and in this way, both physically and mentally, you will get used to it.”

After Du Heng finished speaking, Cao Binghe also explained again, and he even praised Du Heng a lot, almost acclaiming him as a one-of-a-kind expert.

Fearing the patient was still unconvinced, he also took out his mobile phone, showed the patient Du Heng’s online video, and pointed out the vast number of followers and their comments.

After all this, the patient finally dispelled her heavy concerns, said a few words of thanks, and left.

After the patient left, Cao Binghe heaved a sigh of relief, ”When I was reviewing the materials, I felt like this patient didn’t seem to be sick.

But then, after looking at check-ups from other hospitals, I started to lose confidence, and had no choice but to call you to take a look. Didn’t expect it was really just because of laziness.”

Du Heng chuckled lightly, then clapped his hands and stood up, ”People nowadays, with more money and better living conditions, yet they’ve also become lazier, unwilling to even do housework anymore.

Some hire nannies, while others, well, spend some money to buy a couple of tech-savvy smart home devices, completely liberating themselves from housework.

At first glance, this does seem like an improvement in life quality, but they’ve overlooked one point, doing housework is not just about chores, it’s actually also exercising your body.”

Cao Binghe asked with a smile, ”Actually, I’m quite curious, I’ve seen plenty of overweight people, but I’ve never seen one whose back pain was due to being overweight.”

”What’s there to be curious about? If you observe more, you’ll find that this patient, her fat is all concentrated around the waist and abdomen, and the meat on both legs looks especially soft.

This shows that this woman, in her daily life, if she can sit, she absolutely won’t stand, and if she can lie down, she absolutely won’t sit.”

”She’s like a maggot.”

Du Heng chuckled, ”You’re a doctor, mind your language, if others hear it, that wouldn’t be good.

Alright, you go do your work, I’m leaving.”

After saying this, Du Heng put his hands behind his back, left Cao Binghe’s consultation room, and walked towards his own office.

He had just reached the office door when he saw his niece Du Xuejing, ”Tingting, what brings you here? Is something up?”

Du Xuejing walked up to him cheerfully and hugged his arm, ”Little Uncle, I’m on break now, what should I do this year?”

Du Heng gave Du Xuejing a stern look and pushed away the hand hugging his arm, ”You’ve grown into a big girl, don’t be so silly and wild.

What do you mean what happens this year, what do you need to do?”

Seeing her hand pushed away, Du Xuejing pouted and pretended to be unhappy, ”It’s about my internship.”

Du Heng lightly responded, ”Oh, about that. So, what are your thoughts?”

”I want to stay in the Capital and intern at Hao Pengyou Hospital. Little Uncle, is that okay?” Du Xuejing stated her thoughts without hesitation.

Du Heng didn’t answer immediately. Instead, he walked into the office, sat down in his chair, thought for a while, then said, ”Interning in our department isn’t an issue, I can definitely arrange it by just saying the word.

But, I still want you to go back home and intern over there.”

This time, Du Xuejing was truly unhappy, her pout so strong it could tether a donkey, ”Why, Little Uncle? With you here in the Capital, I can ask you questions anytime I have a problem.

Plus, here there are more doctors and patients, and you can encounter various difficult cases, which can better improve my professional skills. Why not let me stay in the Capital?”

Du Heng glanced at Du Xuejing and said mildly, ”Improve what professional skills? You haven’t even memorized a lot of the basic terminology, where do your professional skills come from?

Don’t aim too high, lay a solid foundation first.

Go back home, although there are fewer patients and not many complex cases, the doctors there are our own people, they will definitely be willing to teach you sincerely.”

Du Xuejing pouted silently, looking at Du Heng with resentment.

Du Heng ignored her and continued, ”Besides, you’ve been away for almost half a year, go back to spend time with your parents, see Xiao Yi.

Your mom stayed with you for two months, but what about your dad? It’s been half a year since he’s seen you, right? Xiao Yi is always asking when his sister will come back, you can’t not miss Xiao Yi.”

Hearing this, Du Xuejing didn’t know what to say, so she begrudgingly turned to leave, ”Alright, I’m off then. I’ll buy a ticket tonight and leave tomorrow.”

Faced with his niece’s pouting, Du Heng also felt helpless. He wanted to keep Du Xuejing by his side to teach her personally, but reality didn’t allow it. Besides, she was only in her second year, honestly, he didn’t have much to teach her.

However, seeing her look upset made Du Heng feel tender-hearted, ”Don’t rush off, wait a bit. I’m about to finish work, and we can go home for a meal together after I clock out.

Once the meal is over, tell your Little Uncle what you want, and I’ll take you to buy it, okay?”

Du Xuejing cast a gentle sidelong glance at Du Heng, ”Little Uncle, you really mean it, whatever I want, you’ll buy it?”

Du Heng lightly tilted his chin, sincerely saying, ”Of course, when have I ever lied to you? I always keep my word.”
