This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

To be honest, when he came in, especially after making the call, he almost felt hopeless himself because he couldn’t find a single breakthrough.

But fortunately, the child could still swallow the water given, which meant the child’s ’spirit’ was still there, so he immediately came up with a treatment plan.

The method wasn’t a problem, and the medicine he wanted to prescribe wasn’t a problem either, but the problem was the child was too young, too fragile, and he wasn’t sure if she could withstand the medication’s strength.

Du Heng glanced back at the child and immediately made up his mind, ”Teacher, please prepare a set of needle utensils for me.”

”Okay, I’ll have someone deliver it right away.” Li Jianwei didn’t hesitate at all.

Then Du Heng continued, ”Teacher, prescribe a large dose of Ginseng White Tiger Qi-Coordinating Decoction and Ephedra, Apricot Kernel, Licorice, and Gypsum Decoction, with raw gypsum increased to two hundred.”

”Two hundred?” Li Jianwei didn’t immediately agree this time, but exclaimed and looked at the young disciple who was the size of two palms.

200 grams?

A joke, right?

Such cooling medicine, in such a large quantity, can the child handle it?

Not to mention the other ingredients like ephedra, which induce sweating, also at high doses.

If this isn’t controlled properly, the sweating might bring out the yang qi as well.

But Du Heng simply nodded, ”Teacher, just this dosage.”

Li Jianwei recalled Du Heng’s past prescriptions during emergency and gritted his teeth, agreeing directly.

Once Li Jianwei agreed, he was about to go out to make a call, but Du Heng continued, ”I also need 5 grams of Antelope Musk Antispasmodic Powder, cow bezoar, musk, and bear bile each 1 gram, mixed together and divided into 8 equal portions.”

Having said so much, Li Jianwei couldn’t remember it clearly, so he simply got a piece of paper for Du Heng to write it down.

Du Heng didn’t mind the trouble, directly took a pen and started writing down the names of each medicine, marking the dosage and purpose, to facilitate communication between Li Jianwei, the head nurse, and the Pharmacy.

Li Jianwei took the list and first quickly scanned through it.

He already knew the first items, but the latter Antelope Musk Antispasmodic Powder formula is used for dispelling turbid evil, opening the sensory orifices, directing rashes, and extinguishing wind.

But it was at this moment that he noticed a medicinal name he hadn’t heard clearly earlier: bear bile.

This thing is basically unused now, it’s rarely seen, this...

”Xiao Heng, can you replace bear bile with something else?”

”No,” Du Heng replied decisively, ”With bear bile, I only need one gram, and it doesn’t conflict with other medicines.

But if I replace it with other ingredients, I not only have to adjust the dosage but also match other supplementary medicines, which my daughter can’t handle.”

Recognizing Li Jianwei’s predicament, Du Heng promptly said, ”Teacher, you prepare the other things, I’ll find this one.”

With that said, Du Heng directly called his eldest brother-in-law, ”Brother, I need one gram of black bear bile juice now, it’s urgent.”

”Can you wait half an hour?”

”I can.”

”Alright, I’ll go get it right away.”

Where to find it?

Du Heng did not consider.

He just wanted to save his daughter’s life now.

Li Jianwei gently exhaled a breath and continued looking down, then furrowed his brow again, but quickly let it go.

30 milliliters of chicken blood.

Chicken blood entering the liver, lung, and kidney three meridians has the effect of dispelling wind, activating blood, and facilitating circulation.

But nowadays, very few doctors prescribe this medicine anymore.

Firstly, because it’s difficult to obtain and sometimes mixed with other blood.

Secondly, because chicken blood and chicken blood are often used in folk rituals and considered superstitious.

If today’s patient wasn’t a child, Du Heng probably wouldn’t have prescribed this medicine either.

Seeing Li Jianwei frowning, Du Heng thought maybe Li Jianwei didn’t find it easy to obtain this, so he immediately called his brother-in-law again.

”Brother, add another 30 milliliters of chicken blood.”

”Rooster’s or hen’s?”

”Rooster’s.”

”Is any chicken blood okay, or does it have to be chicken comb blood?”

”Chicken comb blood is best.”

”Alright, I understand.”

While Du Heng was making calls, Li Jianwei had already taken the medicine list out of the emergency room, stood in a quiet place, and instantly started making calls.

Du Heng consciously coordinated with Li Jianwei, after all, it was his personal use of medicine, fearing Director Liu might be held accountable or have other concerns.

And Li Jianwei felt the same way.

His disciple, he cares for.
