This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

After nearly ten minutes, the nurse delivering medicine finally appeared in Du Heng’s sight.

Du Heng quickly said to Wu Shengnan, ”Put the child on the bed, I need to start treatment.”

Wu Shengnan reluctantly put down the child, her eyes full of heartache, not wanting to leave.

Du Heng instructed again, ”You go out first; while I’m doing the treatment, prepare some milk powder for the child, so you can feed him once I’m done.”

After seeing Wu Shengnan off, Du Heng mixed the individually brought mirabilite into the decoction medicine and began carefully feeding the child.

But the taste of Chinese herbal medicine is just like that—even if the child was very hungry, he wouldn’t drink well.

Having no choice, Du Heng steeled his heart, pinched the child’s mouth, and spoon-fed him bit by bit.

Just a small cup of medicine, took three minutes to finish feeding.

This was also the reason for letting Wu Shengnan go out.

Otherwise, as a mother, she could get directly heartbroken.

After all the medicine was fed, Du Heng picked up the child and began lightly rubbing his entire body, especially the chest and back areas, which he rubbed several more times.

The external rubbing method, through massage techniques, opens the surface closure, combined with the sweating effect of ephedra and other medicines, to quickly release the skin rash toxin through the skin.

If relying solely on the power of the medicine, given the child’s current state, he can’t afford to wait.

Just as he finished a round of rubbing, Li Jianwei walked in and said to Du Heng, ”Xiao Heng, your brother has brought the things, how to handle it now?”

Du Heng was completely exhausted, sitting on the edge of the bed, totally without the strength to sit up.

But he knew he couldn’t rest yet, so he mustered his strength and said, ”Add the cow bezoar, musk, bear bile to the Antelope Musk Antispasmodic Powder, divide it into eight parts for me.

Chicken blood does not need to be processed, just give it to me directly.”

”Alright.” Li Jianwei promised and went out.

Except for the two medicines found by the brother-in-law, like Antelope Musk Antispasmodic Powder, cow bezoar, etc., had already been delivered outside the rescue room.

So Li Jianwei just went out for a few seconds, quickly brought in the medicine, and started preparing it according to Du Heng’s instructions.

After the medicine was prepared, Du Heng fed the decoction medicine with mirabilite to the child again.

After finishing the decoction medicine, he fed a portion of Antelope Musk Antispasmodic Powder compound and half a spoonful of chicken blood.

As soon as the medicine was fed, Du Heng immediately started using the external rubbing method again, continuously rubbing back and forth lightly over the child’s whole body.

While Li Jianwei, watching for a little while, saw Du Heng already starting to struggle, quickly said, ”Let me do the rubbing.”

Du Heng’s hand was gently shaking.

Upon hearing this, he did not bother being modest, directly gave the spot to Li Jianwei, ”Teacher, rub the child’s chest and back more, let the skin rash toxins release faster.”

”Okay.”

Li Jianwei softly agreed and started rubbing gently on the child’s body following Du Heng’s technique.

Regarding the technique issues, Du Heng did not elaborate much.

In this aspect, he still trusted Li Jianwei.

And this action continued like this until around five to nearly six in the morning.

During this time, the decoction medicine and Antelope Musk Antispasmodic Powder compound were continuously being administered, about every thirty minutes.

At this time, the rescue room only had Du Heng and Li Jianwei left.

Director Liu went to handle other matters, and several other directors, as they did not know when the child’s condition would improve, went back home or to their dormitory to rest after Du Heng thanked them for their help.

Outside, Wu Shengnan tightly held the milk powder that had been heated countless times, but she still couldn’t wait for Du Heng to call her in, nor did anyone come to ask for the baby bottle.

This made her very anxious, very anxious.

Yet having seen the child a moment ago, her emotions were somewhat comforted.

Moreover, at this moment, with Du Heng inside, even though anxious, she could bear it.

She believed that as long as Du Heng was there, everything would be alright.

Her belief wasn’t enough, her mother, who waited with her all night, was too anxious to bear.

Wu Shengnan admired Du Heng to some extent, but the mother-in-law didn’t have that same sentiment. In her eyes, Du Heng was just a competent doctor, merely her son-in-law.

And the sister-in-law Zhang Sumei, who hadn’t spoken or met for several days, cautiously and eagerly looked at Wu Shengnan, wanting to ask but afraid to do so.

The night Emergency Department was busier than during the day, the rescue room’s door opened countless times, with many people coming and going.

Until the outside began to brighten, the ’busy’ scene finally turned a bit ’quieter.’

After being urged by her mother several times, Wu Shengnan finally couldn’t stand it, grabbed a doctor who just came out, and asked him to inquire inside for her.

And this doctor was also a witness from last night, also overheard Du Heng’s name, knowing this family was relatively special, so didn’t refuse, turned back into the rescue room again.

”Xiao Heng, come quickly, the child has defecated.”

This doctor had just entered the rescue room where Du Heng was when he heard Li Jianwei’s excited voice, and then saw Du Heng who was resting in the corner, scrambling up and quickly running to the bedside.

Du Heng was very excited.

The biggest problem for the child was the inability to urinate and defecate.

As soon as he managed to do these, it meant the child could circulate through his system, and as long as qi could move through the body, the medicine’s effects could manifest, and the skin rash toxin could begin to release.

Du Heng smiled happily, looking at his little daughter who just pooped, he grinned.

Then smiling and laughing, he began to clean up his daughter’s poop with his own hands.

Though it smelled bad, even a bit foul, Du Heng was truly happy.

”Director Du, your wife asked me to inquire...”

”Tell her to wait a little longer, just wait a bit more.”

Before the doctor who came in finished speaking, Du Heng expressed the result ahead, then ignored the inquiring doctor, and started feeding the child medicine again.

This time, after feeding the medicine, he didn’t rub the child anymore, just attentively observed the reaction.

This observation lasted nearly an hour.

During this hour, the dark red dots under the child’s skin all surfaced, one by one glowing red.

More importantly, the previously continuous gasping finally stopped, and the child’s breathing became evenly stable.

The skin rash toxins released!

Du Heng became excited but restrained himself, didn’t dare to feel too happy, instead, touched his child’s forehead, then touched the child’s limbs.

Upon touching, he found that the previously blazing forehead was no longer hot, and the previously cold limbs had warmed up.

To ensure precision, Du Heng checked the child’s temperature with a thermometer, 37.4℃.

Alive!

But at this moment, Du Heng felt like crying, ”Teacher, my daughter, has come back to life.”

Li Jianwei stood beside him, his ability didn’t surpass Du Heng’s, but his experience definitely outmatched Du Heng. So things Du Heng understood, he could also perceive.

At this moment, he stood beside Du Heng, excitedly rubbing his hands, his face full of joyful smiles.

Hearing Du Heng’s slightly trembling words, seeing Du Heng’s look, Li Jianwei was slightly stunned, then naturally patted Du Heng’s shoulder, softly said, ”Good, you are a good doctor, you are also a good father.

Good, good indeed.”

Saying that, he patted Du Heng’s shoulder again, ”Don’t lose momentum, this is just the first stage, the subsequent care still relies on you.”

Du Heng gently exhaled, then firmly nodded, ”I know, Teacher.”

Then he spoke very sincerely, ”Thank you, Teacher.”

”You child.” Li Jianwei smiled softly, ”Alright, don’t be too sentimental; call the child’s mother in.

She’s also worried all night, it’s time to ease her mind.”

”Hmm, I’ll call her right away.”

”Then I’ll find Director Liu to transfer the child to our department for better care and medication.”

Li Jianwei gently patted Du Heng’s shoulder once more, then quickly walked out of the rescue room.
