This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

This is a different take from the orthopedics department at the Municipal First Hospital. Zhang Sumei immediately asked nervously, ”Is it serious?”

Jin Zan said softly, ”Sister-in-law, don’t worry. Let me check again.”

After finishing, Jin Zan looked at the film again, and after finishing, he asked Du Ping to lift his arm and started to examine the injured area.

At this time, the previously slightly bruised and swollen area had completely turned purple-black, and the swollen area had become much larger.

Every time Jin Zan checked with his hands, it was accompanied by Du Ping grimacing in pain.

However, Jin Zan didn’t hold back at all and very carefully examined the injured area.

”Big brother, there’s a tiny fragment lower down from this fracture,” Jin Zan confirmed his assessment and stood up seriously, ”but this issue isn’t too impactful for now. Surgery isn’t needed; you just need to rest at home.”

Du Ping secretly breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, ”I told you it wasn’t serious. Look at all of you, making a fuss.”

As soon as Du Ping finished, Jin Zan quickly said, ”Big brother, you really shouldn’t take this lightly.

After you get home, you should only rest in bed. If this fragment shifts because of force or accidental movement, you’ll definitely need surgery.

If this small bone piece punctures the pleura, it could lead to an infection or life-threatening situation.”

Well, those last two sentences not only scared Du Ping but also the three people who came along, including Wu Shengnan.

Jin Zan immediately smiled and said, ”But as long as you listen, big brother, I have some good medicine that Du Heng... left behind. You’ll be fine in up to three weeks.”

At this time, Zhang Sumei cautiously asked, ”Doctor Jin, the old saying goes it usually takes about 100 days to recover from a bone injury, and his bone is broken. Can it heal in three weeks?”

Jin Zan chuckled, ”Sister-in-law, you might not know this, but Du Heng made his fortune selling medicine for bone injuries.

The whole body divine ointment, which is now widely used in orthopedics, was developed by Du Heng.”

Hearing this, Zhang Sumei skeptically looked at Wu Shengnan.

Wu Shengnan smiled lightly and said, ”Sister-in-law, Doctor Jin is right. This is your brother’s medicine, and it works really well.”

With Wu Shengnan’s confirmation, Zhang Sumei finally relaxed and then looked at Jin Zan again and asked, ”Is Xiao Heng’s medicine really that good?”

Jin Zan shook his head gently, ”The medicine is great, but it needs to be paired with some internal decoction medicine. This is also a formula taught to me by Du Heng.

Combining the two prescriptions, it’s only then that I dare promise big brother results in three weeks.”

As he spoke, Jin Zan shared with Zhang Sumei and others about the patients he had treated using these two formulas.

Once Zhang Sumei and the others were no longer nervous, Jin Zan prescribed medicine for Du Ping and repeatedly reminded him to avoid any vigorous activities and improper movements while taking the medication.

After getting confirmation from Du Ping, Jin Zan, prompted by Wu Shengnan, removed the gauze from Du Ping’s hand and face.

Seeing the wounds on Du Ping’s face and hand, Zhang Sumei’s face turned pale, and tears of heartache flowed down her cheeks.

Even though Jin Zan was used to seeing surgeries, looking at the shiny skin and the liquid oozing from it still made him queasy.

This scene was even more nausea-inducing than seeing raw skin and flesh.

”Ouch... Big brother, what kind of medicine did the doctor use?” Jin Zan asked, looking at the gauze soaked with blood and fatty liquid.

Du Ping grimaced again, ”The doctor first cleaned me up and then applied some anti-inflammatory drugs.”

”That’s not good enough,” Jin Zan turned back to look at the wound and said, ”With the current weather, letting it heal on its own will be quite a challenge.”

Zhang Sumei hurriedly interjected, ”Doctor Jin, do you have any good methods?”

Jin Zan immediately smiled, ”Sister-in-law, you all don’t care for your brother at all.”

Zhang Sumei was momentarily stunned and looked at Wu Shengnan with confusion, ”What do you mean?”

Wu Shengnan adjusted the way she was holding the child, smiled, and explained, ”Your brother made two kinds of medicine last year. One is for treating bone injuries, said to accelerate the healing of fractures.

The other is for burns, and it has received good reviews, not only effectively reducing infection on burn wounds but also speeding up healing.”

Zhang Sumei was a bit dazed and asked blankly, ”Isn’t that for treating burns? It has nothing to do with your big brother’s injury.

Your big brother’s wound is raw skin and ripped flesh.”

Jin Zan chuckled, ”Sister-in-law, think of it this way.

If Du Heng’s medicine can quickly heal burn wounds, then big brother’s skin and flesh injury should heal even faster, right?”

”Really?”

”Of course,” Jin Zan said with a smile, ”If you don’t believe me, then Sister-in-law, call Du Heng. He won’t lie to you.”

Upon hearing the suggestion to call Du Heng, Zhang Sumei quickly waved her hand in refusal, ”No, no, we can’t call Xiao Heng.

If this child learns his big brother is hurt, he’ll definitely rush back here.

Xiao Heng is very busy right now; I heard he has a speech in a few days. We can’t disturb him.”

As soon as Zhang Sumei finished speaking, Du Ping immediately said, ”Don’t call that kid. He’s impulsive. If he finds out I’m hurt, he’ll rush back regardless.”

Then he turned to Wu Shengnan, ”Nannan, I almost forgot to tell you, don’t tell Xiao Heng. We can’t delay his work.”

Their unanimous refusal, and from their words, it was clear they still thought of Du Heng as a child and cared for him constantly.

Wu Shengnan’s eyes welled up, and she quickly nodded in agreement.

After getting the medicine, Kang Zhirong took the three of them home.

After Zhang Sumei took Du Ping upstairs, Kang Zhirong shared his situation with Wu Shengnan.

After listening, Wu Shengnan looked at Kang Zhirong, unsure of what to say.

Kang Zhirong blushed and said, lowering his head, ”Sister-in-law, I want to call Du, but I...”

Seeing Kang Zhirong’s demeanor, Wu Shengnan knew he was afraid Du Heng would scold him.

After all, he hired the assistant himself, caused the trouble himself, and not only didn’t make Du Heng a penny, but also needed Du Heng to clean up the mess, which was unreasonable.

Wu Shengnan twisted her mouth and said helplessly, ”Alright, I’ll tell Du about it. If he asks you, just tell the truth. If he doesn’t ask, just pretend nothing happened.”

Kang Zhirong breathed a sigh of relief, ”Thank you, Sister-in-law.”

”Alright, don’t be courteous. Just help Du Heng handle his matters well.”

Wu Shengnan smiled, then turned and went upstairs.

No one informed Du Heng about Du Ping’s injury, so they quietly focused on his recovery at home.

For two consecutive days, Wu Shengnan didn’t go to work, staying home to take care of the child and keep the mischievous Du Yi in check.

During Du Ping’s rest, Wu Zhou brought things to visit every evening after work and checked on Du Wangyou.

This interaction strengthened the bond between Wu Zhou and the Du Family.

As everyone was busy with their own tasks, after two days’ break, Wu Shengnan couldn’t let go of her team job and seeing that Zhang Sumei wasn’t too busy, once again left the child with her.

It just so happened that Wu Zhou had a day off and she arrived early at the Du Family with gifts.
