This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Sun Jiaxiang looked at Du Heng and chuckled, ”With your expertise, in the professional field, there’s no such thing as traps.

Just pay attention to one thing: whether it’s so-called experts or school students, when it comes to medical reform issues, answer carefully or, better, not at all.”

Du Heng was slightly taken aback, ”This time I’m going to give a lecture on post-stroke sequelae treatment. Nobody would ask about that, right?

Besides, who am I to answer such questions?”

Sun Jiaxiang shook his head with a smile, ”You really don’t take yourself seriously enough.

Just count the titles you hold; in the industry, they’re definitely impressive. Also, don’t forget your workplace, which also has influence.

Furthermore, with your online influence, a casual remark from you is much more impactful than those from so-called experts.

So, if you say anything inappropriate, it will surely be seized upon and magnified by those with ulterior motives.”

Du Heng wasn’t a fool; with a slight turn of thought, he roughly understood and nodded to indicate he got it.

And Sun Jiaxiang didn’t intend to delve deeper into this topic, as this wasn’t the main reason he sought Du Heng out today.

After coughing lightly twice, he said, ”I heard you and Fatty Luo had a falling out a few days ago?”

Du Heng was a bit perplexed by what Sun Jiaxiang meant. After a moment’s silence, he said, ”It’s not really a falling-out, maybe just a bit of unpleasantness.”

Sun Jiaxiang nodded in silence, ”I wanted to let you know that Fatty Luo is confirmed to take over the Health Group.”

Du Heng chuckled lightly, ”Whether he’s in charge or not, what does it have to do with me?”

”You can’t say that. We are part of the Health Committee, and on paper, he arranges our work.”

Sun Jiaxiang gently reminded, but seeing Du Heng’s indifferent attitude, he didn’t say more.

Young people with skills, as the saying goes nowadays, also have a large following, a bit of temper, and personality should be expected.

And being just a thirty-year-old young man with so many titles and strengths, he’s already doing well to not let it get to his head.

But Sun Jiaxiang was fully aware of what kind of people Fatty Luo and his crew were.

After all, in this industry pit, everyone knows who does what and what means are employed.

But considering Du Heng’s apparent indifference, even if he listened, he might not care, so Sun Jiaxiang felt a tad worried.

And this worry only took one day to become a reality, just when Du Heng left the Capital.

”Ladies and gentlemen, news from the XX Convalescent Center that Sir Yu’s condition is not optimistic, hoping our side can send an expert team to support.

Is there anyone willing to make the trip?”

For the first time, Fatty Luo sat in the main seat, expressing his curiosity as he observed everyone’s expressions.

And the reactions seemed to meet his expectations.

Self-recommendation, huh, this isn’t about seizing wealth, who would rush forward?

While everyone stayed silent, someone suddenly asked, ”Group Leader Luo, can’t Sir Yu be transferred to the Capital for treatment?

After all, the medical facilities here in the Capital are much more convenient than those of the sanatorium.”

Fatty Luo gravely replied, ”This idea from Academician Zhang was considered, but everyone knows Sir Yu’s situation: he’s too old and weak.

Recently, his dizziness has worsened.

The expert team at the sanatorium discussed, and in his current condition, it’s really not suitable for him to be tossed back and forth.

So, it’s still a must to trouble all the seniors here for a trip.”

When Fatty Luo finished speaking, everyone present was again silent, with no one willingly taking on this task.

Sir Yu, 83 years old, up till now has no major ailments, can eat and drink.

But due to early dizziness led to early retirement, causing his temper to be not too good, and increasingly stubborn.

Actually, it’s not too difficult to handle.

The most challenging part is Sir Yu’s old partner, which is the real problem no one dares to face.

With the three high conditions, an old lady’s severe habits from old society, and a biting mouth.

Though this old lady doesn’t get special attention from the Health Group, because of Sir Yu’s presence, she can summon the Health Group in Sir Yu’s name whenever she feels unwell.

With such precedents, no one is sure now whether the problem is with Sir Yu or the old lady.

Another unspoken reason is that the couple’s three children are all settled overseas now.

No children nearby to attend, and the old lady is quite domineering, so no one wants to get involved in this mess.

Doesn’t Fatty Luo know?

Of course, he does.

He could even ignore it and push it back to the sanatorium.

However, he not only took it up but also plans to send someone over.

Seeing no one reacting, Fatty Luo suggested again, ”If no senior wants to recommend themselves, then why not recommend experts you find capable? We can’t just sit here staring at each other.”

”I recommend Academician Zhang, a renowned Neurosurgery Expert, and he’s likely more versed in handling Sir Yu’s dizziness than others.”

”Not me.” Academician Zhang immediately refused, ”My expertise is in surgery, and given Sir Yu’s age, it’s more about convalescence than treatment, so my going there isn’t meaningful.

I suggest Academician Sun should go, as he’s a renowned traditional Chinese medicine expert, famous for convalescence, very suitable for Sir Yu.”

Sun Jiaxiang’s gaze was piercing, almost wishing to pierce Academician Zhang, ”You’re too kind, Academician Zhang. In my life, my best skill has been medication, healthcare, and compared to you, I’m still behind.”

”How about this, since Academician Zhang thinks Mr. Yu needs more nurturing than curing, I recommend Professor Chen.

Professor Chen is a nationally renowned expert on geriatric diseases, annually publishing works in internationally renowned journals on geriatric disease prevention and therapies, highly praised by international peers.

I believe Professor Chen going there would be most suitable.”

When nominated, Professor Chen’s face darkened a bit but, against the much older Sun Jiaxiang, he didn’t dare to respond with sarcasm.

After a sideways glance at Fatty Luo, Professor Chen replied cheerfully, ”Academician Sun, you’re too flattering. I still know my worth.”

Pausing slightly, Professor Chen continued, ”However, I do know a very suitable candidate for geriatric diseases and therapy-first, treatment-second approaches.”

Fatty Luo suddenly beamed with delight, sitting up straight as he asked, ”Professor Chen, do tell us quickly, is he from our Health Group?

If there’s such talent, even if not from our Health Group, I would apply through the leaders.”

Laughing, Professor Chen said, ”Group Leader Luo, don’t worry too much; the person I’m mentioning is indeed a Health Group expert.”

”Oh, Professor Chen, quickly tell us, who is it?”

”Du Heng, the Deputy Director of the Traditional Chinese Medicine Department at Good Friend Hospital and Vice Dean of the Capital Acupuncture Research Institute.”

”Du Heng?” Fatty Luo was first stunned, then showed a look of sudden realization, ”Oh, right, how could I forget such an expert like Deputy Director Du.”

Sun Jiaxiang exchanged looks with a few beside him, utterly speechless at the clearly orchestrated exchange by Fatty Luo and others.

After Fatty Luo finished lavishly praising Du Heng, Sun Jiaxiang raised, ”Xiao Du is now on a business trip, probably can’t make it, right?

Moreover, for this kind of thing, shouldn’t we consult Xiao Du’s opinion too?”
