This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Li Jianwei moved quickly, and after a few minutes of going out, he completed the communication with Director Liu and agreed to transfer the child to the Chinese Medicine Department now.

However, the reason might also be that Director Liu probably found Du Heng and his group of people a bit tricky and hard to deal with.

First of all, there’s Du Heng’s father-in-law, such an influential figure, who came to the hospital just at dawn to see his grandson. This not only made him quite uneasy but also severely disrupted his normal work.

Moreover, Du Heng and his brother-in-law themselves are also a rather difficult point to handle.

Just say last night, where did that bear bile come from?

Indeed, this was not something he did himself, but as this place is his territory, not only did he not oppose the treatment Du Heng conducted, but he also let it go completely unmonitored, which, if scrutinized, he himself cannot be entirely unlinked to.

Although there doesn’t seem to be anything unusual about this case now and chances are, no problems will arise in the future, Director Liu still feels uneasy.

Additionally, there’s Du Heng feeding the child chicken blood, which, in the eyes of these modern doctors, is no different from feudal superstition or witchcraft.

Chicken blood to treat blood poisoning?

It’s damn near more believable to say that black dog blood can ward off evil spirits.

If this had happened in the past, it would just be a joke, but the fact is right in front of him now, so he cannot help but believe it, whether he can accept it or not is another matter.

Because this matter greatly challenged his modern medical beliefs. He fears that if Du Heng stays any longer, he might come up with other treatment methods that would utterly shatter his beliefs.

Li Jianwei doesn’t care about what Director Liu is feeling right now; he is just excited and happy.

After finishing the conversation with Director Liu, he immediately contacted the department to arrange a hospital room for the child.

The hospital room’s arrangement was unexpected yet justifiable.

Because this wasn’t a typical single room, but what is commonly called a cadre ward.

Of course, treating a cadre ward as a single room isn’t a problem, because there’s no ’significant’ difference other than it being a bit larger.

Arriving at the hospital room, Du Heng relinquished his spot next to the child, standing at the back with Li Jianwei.

At this moment, Li Jianwei didn’t join the commotion, but quietly asked Du Heng beside him, ”Xiao Heng, how do you plan the treatment afterward?

Will you continue using the previous treatment method, or do you want to change the house?”

Du Heng was very sleepy, his eyes were barely open.

However, he felt very relaxed, so much so that he experienced a kind of uplifting joy.

”We need to change the house,” Du Heng replied very confidently, ”The child has been saved, but the qi and Yin have been excessively depleted. If this isn’t replenished, there will be root of illness left behind, and she will definitely be frail and sickly in the future.”

Li Jianwei lightly nodded, agreeing with what Du Heng said, but at the same time, his brow furrowed, ”But deficiency does not accept supplementation; the child has just suffered so immensely, and your previous treatment also overtaxed the child’s original qi. Is it not a bit too early to start supplementing now?”

Regarding Li Jianwei’s concern, Du Heng merely shook his head, ”It’s not early.

The child is very young and is in a period of rapid growth and development. However, her body is very delicate, and now both her qi and Yin are insufficient, and original qi is in great loss. Should supplementation be delayed, it will be very detrimental to her development.”

Li Jianwei frowned, saying, ”However, the medicinal efficacy of the tonic might not be something the child can endure right now.”

Du Heng squinted his eyes briefly, then opened them again and said, ”I’ve considered this, which is why I’m preparing to use a decoction of American ginseng, reed root, and Bai Mao only.

The child is still young and doesn’t need the same large, aggressive supplementation as adults. Just giving her a bit of medicinal tea, with slight assistance, she can recuperate on her own.”

Thinking about the taste of these few medicines, Du Heng paused slightly, then lightly chuckled and said, ”When brewing the decoction, you can add a little bit of sugar to adjust the taste of the medicine.”

As he spoke, Du Heng thought again about the child’s previous violent gasping and respiratory failure, and after a moment of silence, he said, ”Additionally, a bit of pear juice can be juiced and mixed in while taking the medicine, which not only balances the taste but also nourishes the Yin and lung.”

While Du Heng spoke, Li Jianwei quietly listened beside him, not interrupting.

After Du Heng finished speaking, he took a deep breath and then slowly nodded.

Among the medicines Du Heng mentioned, besides American ginseng, which can be used medicinally, the rest of the items are completely ingredients.

Replacing medicinal supplementation with dietary supplementation is indeed the best approach right now.

”Is there anything else to add? If not, I’ll proceed with this house as you said,” Li Jianwei softly asked.

Du Heng thought for a moment and then shook his head, ”Thank you, Teacher, just proceed with this house.”

”Alright then, there’s no need to administer the medicine right now; you should take some time to rest,” said Li Jianwei before turning and leaving the hospital room.

And Du Heng, seeing Wu Shengnan’s family gathered around the child, didn’t think of squeezing in, turning instead to the ’genuine leather’ large sofa in the hospital room and sat down, smiling as he looked at Wu Shengnan and the child beside the sick bed.

Only, as he watched, without realizing it, Du Heng fell asleep.

Moreover, once asleep, he slipped into an oblivious state, sleeping deeply and soundly.

If it weren’t for the emptiness in his stomach strongly stimulating his brain urging it to replenish; if it weren’t for the slightly noisy conversation in the hospital room and the constant feeling of people moving around him, Du Heng might not have woken up at all.
