This Doctor Is Too Wealthy

Du Heng sighed.

Trying to handle personal affairs at the workplace is indeed not an easy task. But there’s no choice; the patient’s matters are the most important. Du Heng could only close the document he just opened and head towards the consultation room.

Soon, Du Heng arrived at the consultation room door.

Seeing someone inside, Du Heng didn’t rush to talk to Director Wu and instead walked straight to sit opposite Director Wu.

Only after the patient left did Du Heng softly ask, ”Director Wu, what’s the matter you wanted to discuss with me?”

Director Wu sighed lightly, ”Earlier there was a patient. I feel something’s not right and am somewhat unsure, so I called you over to help take a look.”

Du Heng jokingly said, ”Director Wu, you’re kidding. If you can’t handle it, I surely can’t either.”

Director Wu leaned back slightly, looking at Du Heng, ”We are all on the same team, don’t be modest here.”

After stretching lazily, Director Wu leaned over the computer, found the patient materials he needed.

Seeing Director Wu beckon, Du Heng, without hesitation, walked over to Director Wu’s side and started looking at the computer materials.

Director Wu moved slightly, making room for Du Heng, and then softly said, ”The patient had already been to four or five hospitals locally. Initially, everyone said it was breast inflammation.

After some time of treatment, there was no change in the condition. Subsequently, more professional checks were done, and finally, the consensus was granuloma.

But, unfortunately, despite treating for granuloma for a long time, there’s still no change in the patient’s condition.”

Listening to Director Wu’s introduction, Du Heng lightly nodded and then stood up straight.

The content on the computer wasn’t much; it was all results from Director Wu’s recent examinations, all self-recorded notes.

Just through these things, Du Heng couldn’t pinpoint any issues.

He then softly said, ”Director Wu, call the patient in. I’ll take a look before deciding.”

Director Wu nodded lightly, then went to the door and softly beckoned to a waiting patient.

Entering was a woman in her 30s to 40s, appearing very fatigued, with slightly dull skin, clearly lacking qi and vitality.

After the patient sat down, Director Wu introduced Du Heng to her and had her re-explain her condition.

After hearing the patient, Du Heng’s brows furrowed slightly, ”What kinds of checks have you done at your local hospital?”

The woman immediately placed the personnel file on the table, taking out a thick stack of inspection sheets and imaging materials.

Du Heng glanced briefly, recognizing several B-ultrasound reports and nuclear magnetic inspection results inside.

Without saying much, Du Heng took all inspection sheets and treatment records and began reviewing them thoroughly.

But from these inspection materials, Du Heng still couldn’t find any other problems.

Putting down the materials in hand, Du Heng slightly pondered and said to the woman, ”Lift your clothes; let me see the lesion location.”

The woman seemed used to such requests, showing no shyness, appearing very composed. Upon hearing Du Heng’s words, she directly lifted the clothes off her chest.

Just a glance, and Du Heng’s brows furrowed tightly.

The patient’s entire breast showed an unusual redness and swelling, especially at the protruding parts, giving an itchy and painful sensation just by looking.

All over the patient’s breast were numerous small, raised granulomas, densely covering the entire breast, with a quantity and density easily inducing trypophobia.

After observing visually, Du Heng extended his hand for a gentle touch, but didn’t notice anything different at this time; the overall feel was rather soft.

Granulomatous mastitis?

After completing these checks, the word suddenly surfaced in Du Heng’s mind.

But this thought was immediately dismissed by him.

If it truly was granulomatous mastitis, based on the materials reviewed earlier, the patient should definitely be cured. At the very least, her condition should slightly improve.

But the problem now is, the patient’s condition hasn’t changed at all, and combined with previous medical records, her situation continues to worsen.

Yet, neither his check-up result nor conclusions from imaging materials seem to pinpoint any other issues, causing Du Heng a slight headache.

After having the patient tidy up her clothing, Du Heng began his most proficient task, pulse diagnosis.

And as soon as he began, Du Heng discovered issues and identified differences with Director Wu’s diagnosis.

The patient’s pulse was much like that of several previous cancer patients he had checked.

Cancer?

Breast cancer?

The thought suddenly emerged in Du Heng’s mind.

But this wasn’t right; looking at both the B-ultrasound and nuclear magnetic inspection films, the patient doesn’t exhibit cancer characteristics.

This stumped Du Heng again.

From his pulse diagnosis, the patient indeed shows cancer symptoms. But from Western medicine check results, cancerous locations simply couldn’t be found.

Did he diagnose incorrectly?

Du Heng lightly shook his head, believing it’s impossible. He still had confidence in his medical skills.
