250 Chapter 250: Gible’s Overflowing Talent 2026-10-30

According to Chen Mo’s original theory, the life growing inside the egg had to be a Pokémon deeply connected to Aura.

However—

While the Gible line was incredibly rare and belonged to the category of ”late bloomers,” it had little connection to Aura itself.

The only possible relation—

Was probably that old saying:

Everything in existence possesses its own Aura.

”…Strange.”

Chen Mo looked completely puzzled.

But the facts were right in front of him.

Which meant all his previous guesses had been wrong.

Ah Hui noticed the change in Chen Mo’s expression and asked curiously,

”Brother Mo, don’t you like Gible?”

”How could that be…”

Chen Mo shook his head.

As a pseudo-legendary Pokémon, the Gible line had been hugely popular back in his previous world.

Part of the reason was naturally the overwhelming strength of its final evolution, Garchomp.

But another major factor—

Was Cynthia.

The first female Champion in the Pokémon game series, a legendary scholar adored by fans worldwide, whose ace Pokémon was precisely a Garchomp.

Thanks to all those influences, Chen Mo had always been rather fond of the Gible line.

”Then hurry over, Brother Mo.”

Ah Hui instinctively stepped back.

For newborn Pokémon, the first impression was incredibly important if one hoped to bond with or capture them successfully.

Just like Ah Hui himself back then—

When Caterpie escaped from the backpack, the first thing it saw was Ah Hui, and thus it acknowledged him.

It was fate.

And also the power of first impressions.

Having educated countless people about Pokémon, Chen Mo naturally understood this well.

Without hesitation, he immediately stepped toward Gible.

Nearby—

Having completed its task, Fletchinder promptly flew onto the courtyard wall and watched curiously from above.

As for Absol—

Though it desperately wanted to approach Gible immediately, it understood that the trainer had to go first.

And so—

The newly hatched Gible stood there alone, looking completely lost.

Who am I? Where did I come from? Where am I going?

After a while—

As if finally figuring something out, Gible turned toward Absol, who was gazing at it warmly from afar.

”Gaao?”

Its expression was filled with confusion.

It could sense—

They weren’t the same species.

Yet somehow—

When looking at Absol, Gible felt an inexplicable closeness and familiarity.

Then a gentle voice sounded above it.

”Before you were born, Absol kept warming your egg with its own body every single day, hoping you’d hatch safely into this world. It loves you very much, so it’s only natural that you feel close to it.”

Gible turned again.

This time—

It saw Chen Mo smiling gently at it.

From this human too, Gible could sense a familiar aura.

Meanwhile—

Chen Mo quietly used Detection Eye.

Species: Gible

Type: Dragon / Ground

Ability: Rough Skin

Known Moves: Sand Tomb, Tackle, Iron Head, Outrage

Current Emotions: Wary, Curious

Physical Condition: Perfect

Friendship: 3

(Having just arrived in this world, it feels a familiar aura from you and has developed a tiny bit of curiosity.)

”Hm?”

Seeing the results, Chen Mo was surprised.

This Gible’s talent was exceptional.

It had already learned four moves immediately after birth, and from the inherited moves Iron Head and Outrage, it was clear it had inherited excellent genes from its parents.

”But… familiar aura…”

Chen Mo stared thoughtfully at the friendship note.

Though Gible wasn’t an Aura-related Pokémon, its perception was clearly extraordinary.

Judging by the system’s wording, it was basically confirmed—

Even before hatching, Gible had already been capable of sensing the energy fluctuations from outside the egg.

”Interesting.”

Chen Mo wasn’t in a hurry despite Gible’s caution toward him.

Pokémon were naturally simple creatures.

Newborn Pokémon were even more like blank sheets of paper.

With all his experience capturing Pokémon—and his natural advantages—Chen Mo had complete confidence he could earn Gible’s trust quickly.

”Gible, I—”

Just as Chen Mo was about to begin some gentle ”therapy talk”—

The shadow at his feet suddenly bulged.

A plump, round gengar popped out, grinning foolishly as it curiously observed Gible.

”…gengar.”

Chen Mo looked helpless.

But at that moment—

Out of the corner of his eye, he noticed Gible’s expression suddenly change.

He instantly activated Detection Eye again.

Species: Gible

Emotions: Extreme tension, Extreme vigilance, Fear…

In an instant—

The entire emotion bar turned crimson.

Alarm bells exploded in Chen Mo’s mind.

The next second—

Gible suddenly sank downward.

And immediately afterward—

A massive storm of yellow sand erupted around it like the end of the world itself.

”Sand Tomb!”

Chen Mo recognized the move instantly.

”Gengui!?”

Completely confused as to why Gible had suddenly attacked, gengar froze briefly before immediately shielding Chen Mo and attempting to retreat from the terrifying sandstorm.

”GAAAO!”

A low roar, like something emerging from the depths of hell, echoed nearby.

Then—

Gible burst from underground and slammed headfirst into gengar.

Because it was protecting Chen Mo—and because the sandstorm blocked its vision—gengar had no chance to dodge and directly took an Iron Head attack.

”GENGUI!”

The damage itself wasn’t severe—

But emotionally, the blow devastated gengar.

It couldn’t understand why this newborn teammate was attacking both it and its future trainer the moment they met.

That was way too rebellious!

gengar was just about to reason with Gible—

But Gible remained incredibly cautious.

After landing a single strike, it immediately dove back underground using its species advantage.

Combined with the overwhelming sandstorm, gengar couldn’t find it at all.

”Bibi!”

At that moment—

A sharp cry came from above.

Realizing something was wrong, Pidgeotto arrived immediately.

Seeing this, gengar quickly entrusted the half-buried, sand-covered Chen Mo to Pidgeotto before furiously charging into the Sand Tomb to catch the ”not cute at all” new teammate.

”Pika pika!”

”Absol!”

Pikachu and Absol also rushed into the sandstorm, trying to locate Gible hidden within the swirling sands.

”GAAAO!”

Another low roar echoed out.

Gible appeared once more.

Facing the three Pokémon searching for it, Gible decisively slammed into gengar again before immediately retreating underground.

Clean.

Efficient.

For a newborn Pokémon—

Its battle instincts were terrifyingly refined.

But—

gengar was furious now.

WHY ME AGAIN!?

Flames erupted around gengar’s body.

Just as it was about to completely lose it and start rampaging too—

Chen Mo shouted from above.

”gengar, pull back first!”

”Gengui!?”

Though unwilling, gengar still obeyed and floated back beside Chen Mo.

”Gengui…”

It looked deeply wronged.

Chen Mo gently patted its head helplessly.

”Gible attacked you because you still carry a trace of Zekrom’s aura.”

”Gengui?”

gengar looked confused.

Hadn’t it already stored Zekrom’s scales at Ah Hui’s house this morning?

”Even though you left the scales there, a little of Zekrom’s aura still lingers on you. Our new teammate has extremely sharp senses—and seems exceptionally sensitive to Zekrom’s presence…”

Chen Mo smiled bitterly.

Marshadow had just reminded him of that.

Thinking back to Gible’s entirely crimson emotion bar earlier, Chen Mo was now fully certain—

The reason Gible had refused to hatch for so long was absolutely because it sensed the aura radiating from Zekrom’s fallen scales and had been too terrified to emerge.

”Brother Mo!”

Meanwhile—

Ah Hui, who had fled with the camera in time, looked battered but otherwise unharmed.

He shouted anxiously toward the sky.

Chen Mo waved reassuringly at him.

But the livestream chat had already exploded.

[I TOLD YOU! That Garchomp from the documentary looked savage as hell. This whole species line is clearly violent!]

[Thought Teacher Mo struck gold, turns out he brought home a disaster.]

[That Pokémon’s dangerous… attacking out of nowhere like that. Teacher Mo shouldn’t raise something this unstable.]

[Its temperament is awful…]

[Wonder how Teacher Mo will handle this Gible.]

Just as the viewers argued endlessly—

Chen Mo suddenly issued a command that left everyone baffled.

”Pikachu, don’t attack Gible. Focus on exhausting its stamina or restricting it with support moves like Sweet Kiss!”

”Pika!”

Trusting Chen Mo completely, Pikachu immediately began carefully observing the sandstorm.

Suddenly—

The ground burst open behind Pikachu as Gible lunged upward.

But Pikachu’s hearing was excellent.

The instant it sensed the disturbance underground, it dodged away.

”Pika!”

At the same moment—

A pink, heart-shaped beam shot directly toward Gible.

Sweet Kiss.

A move Pikachu had learned back when it was still a Pichu.

Its effect caused confusion.

Though Pikachu wasn’t highly proficient with it yet, it worked perfectly against a newly born Gible.

”GAAAO!”

Unable to avoid it, Gible froze after being struck.

But its reaction speed was astonishing.

Before Pikachu and Absol could close in, it once again vanished underground using the terrain.

”Gengui!”

Even though Pikachu hadn’t been hurt, gengar—the ”old father” hovering above—was furious.

After being repeatedly targeted by Gible, and now seeing Pikachu attacked too, gengar immediately wanted to charge in and help.

Chen Mo hurriedly grabbed the increasingly enraged ghost and tried desperately to calm it down.

Still—

He wasn’t surprised at all.

If gengar, carrying only a faint trace of Zekrom’s aura, provoked such hostility—

Then Pikachu, who had directly fused with part of Zekrom’s power before, naturally would as well.

However—

Chen Mo trusted Pikachu.

With Pikachu’s current strength, dealing with a newborn Gible wouldn’t be difficult.

And besides—

Having just hatched, maintaining such a large-scale Sand Tomb while simultaneously suffering from confusion, Gible’s stamina wouldn’t last long.

There was no need to attack.

Soon enough, Gible would stop on its own.

And indeed—

Less than thirty seconds later, the Sand Tomb began dissipating.

”Gaao…”

Affected by confusion, Gible felt as though the entire world had turned upside down.

Its expression became desperate—

As if staring directly at its doom.

Finally—

It simply stood still in surrender.

”Pikachu…”

Pikachu felt this new junior might honestly not be very bright.

Naturally kindhearted and fond of befriending other Pokémon, Pikachu decided it should properly explain the situation.

”Pika pika!”

With a warm smile, Pikachu slowly approached—

Completely unaware that while Gible looked resigned on the surface, deep within its eyes burned fierce determination.

At that moment—

Chen Mo, descending from the sky atop Pidgeotto, sensed something wrong.

Using Detection Eye again, his expression changed instantly.

”Pikachu, watch out!”

At the same time—

A dangerous red glow erupted within Gible’s black-and-white eyes.

”GAAAO!”

Outrage activated!

Using the burst of power granted by Outrage, Gible briefly regained clarity.

Then—

With the determination of someone charging to mutual destruction, it lunged straight toward Pikachu.

”Pika!?”

At Chen Mo’s warning, Pikachu reacted immediately, its face turning serious as it stared at the rapidly approaching Gible.

This new teammate—

Seriously had problems with its brain.
