”What’s the situation?”

At the edge of Cangqing Mountain—

Professor Zhou, having just arrived at an observation station by helicopter, immediately questioned the staff inside.

With the accelerating spread of the purple crystals, nearly half of Cangqing Mountain had already fallen—

Turning into a frozen world of violet crystal.

This created a new problem.

The wild Pokémon living in Cangqing Mountain weren’t just the ones that had stepped forward to fight Suicune.

As the crystals spread wildly, massive numbers of wild Pokémon were forced to migrate outward.

Villages near the mountain—

Were trampled before the crystals even reached them, as panicked Pokémon lost control.

Fortunately—

Thanks to Chen Mo’s earlier warning, the authorities had already evacuated civilians.

So far—

No human casualties.

”The defensive barriers we set up have been breached. The leading herds are about to reach Yongkang Town.”

The staff reported tensely.

Zhou frowned.

”So fast?”

The screen switched.

From the drone footage—

A torrent of Pokémon surged through the forest like a river—

Charging toward Yongkang Town.

”Rhyhorn… and Tauros…”

Zhou recognized them instantly.

Once they started running—

They wouldn’t stop.

”…This is bad.”

Even after Yongkang—

They’d keep going.

Beyond that—

Was a densely populated plains region.

Even evacuated—

The damage would be enormous.

Just as Zhou considered interception—

Pink figures emerged.

”…That is…?”

”Chansey?”

They stood side by side—

Forming a pink wall.

Blocking the path.

…

Meanwhile—

Inside the ruins—

Though only fifty meters remained—

It felt impossibly long.

Dark red light rained down.

From it—

A small, lightning-fast figure emerged—

Wrapped in blue and gold electricity—

Charging at Unown ”P.”

”Pika!”

Pikachu intercepted—

Crashing into it.

”Pika pika!”

Facing the copy—

It showed no fear.

It shouted—

Telling the others to go ahead.

”Geh!”

Gengar and Absol nodded.

Sceptile stayed close—

Protecting Unown ”P.”

Then—

More light fell.

Copies of Gengar, Absol, and Sceptile appeared—

Blocking the way.

”…Geh…”

Gengar grew serious.

That copy—

Felt identical.

”Need help?”

A childish voice echoed.

Gengar lit up—

Nodding immediately.

”Then I’ll take control.”

Orange-red eyes appeared—

In Chen Mo’s shadow.

Next second—

Gengar charged.

The copy tried to flee—

But—

Its body froze.

Gengar’s eyes glowed.

Then—

A barrage of blows.

Before it could scream—

It dissolved.

Then—

Gengar turned—

Toward Absol and Sceptile’s copies.

…

Chen Mo stared—

Mouth slightly open.

”Hmph.”

The shadow entity felt proud.

Then—

A voice:

”Thank you.”

”…?”

The eyes froze.

Was I exposed?

No—

Impossible.

Still hidden.

Must be imagining things.

It continued fighting.

Soon—

All copies were destroyed.

A Shadow Ball—

Finished Pikachu’s copy.

Boom!

The Unown trembled.

Chen Mo glanced at his shadow—

Then calmly said:

”Let’s move.”

”Absol!” ”Sceptile!”

With the threat gone—

The Unown quieted.

They returned to the platform.

At the center—

Unown ”C” remained sealed.

As Chen Mo wondered how to approach—

Gengar floated forward.

The Unown—

Parted.

”….”

Even in chaos—

They feared the presence behind Gengar.

”Chen Mo.”

Unown ”P” spoke.

”Thank you… for bringing me here.”

”….”

Chen Mo smiled faintly.

”I’m counting on you.”

”Yes.”

Unown ”P” entered the sphere.

Golden light flowed from it—

Into Unown ”C.”

Soon—

”C” stirred.

Confused—

Then—

Recognized ”P.”

It glowed as well.

Their lights—

Merged.

Unown—

One of the world’s great mysteries.

Chen Mo had wanted to study them.

But—

There was no time.

They exchanged a silent understanding—

Then—

Acted.

The Unown began moving again.

But this time—

”P” and ”C” were faster.

Golden light bloomed—

Like a flower.

From it—

Countless particles spread—

Touching every Unown.

The red light—

Vanished instantly upon contact.

Chen Mo watched.

And remembered—

A legend.

Unown existed—

Since creation.

Even alongside Arceus.

They could create—

Even Legends.

Seeing the golden light—

He thought:

”…Is this… Arceus’ power?”

As promised—

The Unown began recovering.

They looked around—

Then—

At the fading golden flower.

A faint voice reached him:

”Thank you… Chen… hope… we meet again…”

”…No.”

Chen Mo whispered.

”I should be thanking you.”

In his shadow—

The orange-red eyes heard clearly.

…So it wasn’t for me.

Relief—

And a strange disappointment.

Then—

Crack.

The flower vanished.

Something fell.

Chen Mo hurried over.

Two stone slabs—

Lying quietly.

Marked:

P and C.

”…The price…”

He recognized them.

From Spell of the Unown.

Were these—

Another state of Unown?

He picked them up carefully.

Around him—

The crystals faded.

”Can they recover?”

The Unown formed letters:

No.

Chen Mo’s expression dimmed.

Then—

Pikachu suddenly turned.

The ground trembled.

”Pika!”

Too late.

A massive shadow—

Burst from the rubble—

Glowing dark red—

Descending upon Chen Mo.

”Ma—!”

The shadow entity tried to emerge—

But—

The path was sealed.

Chen Mo turned—

Seeing wings—

A familiar form.

”…Giratina…”

Too close.

Too fast.

The shadow swallowed him whole.

”Pika!!!”

Pikachu attacked—

But passed through.

No effect.

”…Pikachu…”

Chen Mo saw them—

His Pokémon—

Desperate.

”…So this is the end…”

A force surged inside him.

He couldn’t breathe.

Vision fading.

Then—

A flicker.

Blue lightning.

…

”It’s over…”

Above the mountain—

The researcher sighed in relief.

The crystals were gone.

”I knew he’d succeed.”

He looked toward the ruins—

Then—

His pupils shrank.

A beam—

Dark red—

Wrapped in blue lightning—

Shot into the sky.

A terrifying wave—

Spread outward.

Across all of Cangqing Mountain—

Every Pokémon—

Froze.

Collapsed to the ground.

Unable to move.
