200 Chapter 200 200: I Hope We Can Meet Again 2026-10-30

With Absol’s final Hyper Beam, Suicune’s body collapsed—

Then melted into particles of light, disappearing into the moonlit night.

”We did it!”

Countless viewers erupted in cheers.

In the Pokémon Cabin chat:

[HOLY—!!!]

[That Gengar… is it hacked? Or was Suicune already that weak?]

[Feels weird, but a win is a win.]

[I’ve watched all of Mo’s streams—Haunter’s always been strong, but not THIS strong.]

[And that was a Legendary Pokémon!]

[Even injured, that’s still Suicune…]

[Thought this would be a brutal fight, but…]

[Hydreigon from Evergreen Forest: ”Bro, so you WERE holding back against me—thanks for not killing me.”]

Unlike casual viewers, regular stream watchers knew Haunter’s usual level.

It couldn’t even defeat Hydreigon before—

Yet now it had overwhelmed Suicune.

Naturally—

Everyone was stunned.

”Pika pika!”

After the battle, Pikachu rushed toward Gengar, excited.

But—

It suddenly felt something off.

Thanks to their dream training, Pikachu knew Hauntervery well.

And yet—

This Haunterfelt… unfamiliar.

”Pika?”

It slowed.

Staring at Haunter’s back.

Then—

Haunter’s body twitched.

It turned around.

Looking confused.

”Geh?”

The familiar Haunterwas back.

Relieved, Pikachu cheered again.

”Pika! Pika pika!”

Hearing the praise—

Haunterlooked even more confused.

Absol, Pidgeotto, and Sceptile gathered as well—

Praising it.

Even the usually silent Absol thanked it.

Without Gengar—

They couldn’t have won.

”Geh!”

Haunterlaughed and nodded—

But its eyes were full of confusion.

What are they talking about?

I beat Suicune?

Since when?

”…Something changed.”

Chen Mo, using [Detection Eye], noticed the mismatch between Haunter’s thoughts and behavior.

This was completely different from earlier.

Just as he was about to ask—

His phone buzzed.

A message from Professor Zhou:

”The purple crystals have stopped spreading!”

At the same time—

His backpack moved.

Unown squeezed out.

”I was right…”

Chen Mo exhaled in relief.

Defeating Suicune—

Had worked.

Unown recovered.

The crystals stopped.

A clear voice sounded:

”I can feel their power weakening. Hero of Ideals—we must go now!”

”Got it.”

Chen Mo nodded.

No time to dwell on Gengar.

”Return, Absol.”

He recalled it.

Pikachu and the others regrouped.

”Geh!”

Still smiling foolishly, Haunterprepared to slip back into Chen Mo’s shadow.

But—

Something felt wrong.

It looked down.

In the darkness—

A pair of orange-red eyes stared up at it.

Haunter’s expression changed.

Before it could react—

Two black hands grabbed it—

Dragging it into the shadow.

”…Hm?”

Chen Mo turned—

Looking at his shadow.

Nothing.

”…Just my imagination?”

He frowned.

…

Meanwhile—

At the base camp.

Professor Zhou looked at the halted crystals.

”…We owe Xiao Mo again.”

The researcher nodded silently.

He was thinking.

Modern weapons—

Struggled against Pokémon.

Especially unseen attacks.

But—

Pokémon vs Pokémon—

Worked.

Coordination mattered.

If those wild Pokémon had human guidance—

Things might’ve gone differently.

Chen Mo had always said:

Trainers and Pokémon are one.

Now—

He understood.

”…We need to accelerate Pokémon integration.”

Then—

A voice came from outside:

”Professor Zhou—Lin Muxiu is awake!”

…

Inside the Shadow World

A place of pure darkness.

Where only certain Pokémon could exist.

Haunterloved it here.

Especially Chen Mo’s shadow.

It could feel his emotions.

Warm.

It was home.

Its territory.

No other Pokémon could enter.

But now—

Those orange-red eyes stared at it.

For once—

Haunterwas angry.

”Geh! Geh geh!”

(This is my home! Why are you here!?)

No response.

That made it angrier.

”Geh!”

(Get out!)

It charged—

But—

A giant hand grabbed it.

No escape.

”Geh!?”

Its energy—

Suppressed.

Then—

A childish voice echoed:

”Stop. You don’t want that human to get hurt, do you?”

Haunterfroze.

This world—

Was connected to Chen Mo.

Fighting here—

Could hurt him.

”Geh!”

(You’re despicable!)

”You call me despicable? You were the one attacking. I stopped you.”

Haunterpaused.

…That was true.

Wait—no!

”Geh!”

(You controlled me and took my home!)

”…You’re smarter than I thought.”

”Geh!”

(Of course I am!)

”….”

The eyes were speechless.

Then:

”You should thank me. Without me, could you have beaten Suicune?”

”Geh!?”

Haunterwasn’t stupid.

It remembered—

Nothing after entering battle.

Just exhaustion.

So—

It was controlled?

It thought.

…That made sense.

Winning mattered.

”Geh!”

(Fine. I forgive you.)

The hands released it.

”Geh!”

Haunterhappily approached—

But the eyes retreated.

”Don’t come closer!”

Haunterstopped.

Scratching its head.

”…Troublesome.”

The entity muttered.

It had revealed itself—

Because controlling Haunterhad drained too much energy.

Otherwise—

It would’ve remained hidden.

Even Hauntercouldn’t detect it.

It considered warning Gengar—

To keep quiet.

But then—

”Geh! Geh geh!”

(Thanks! You’re my friend now!)

”…?”

The eyes froze.

Hauntercontinued happily:

”Geh? Geh geh~”

(Why are you here? Do you want to follow Chen Mo too? He’s amazing! You’ve got good taste!)

”….”

A chatterbox?

After a pause:

”I’m not here to follow him. I’m here to… test him.”

”Geh!”

(Test?)

”You wouldn’t understand.”

Haunterdidn’t care.

It grinned.

”Geh! Geh geh!”

(Then as friends, I’ll share half my shadow with you!)
