Chen Mo had no idea what was happening in the Shadow World.

At this moment, he had already arrived—riding Pidgeotto—at the center of the purple crystal zone, where the mysterious ruins had first descended.

”Pikachu, use Iron Tail!”

Hearing the command, Pikachu leapt high into the air. Its small body spun as its lightning-shaped tail glowed with blinding white light.

”Pika!”

Iron Tail slammed down.

The cave sealed by purple crystals was blasted open with a massive gap.

”Pika~”

”Nice work, Pikachu.”

Chen Mo gently patted its head.

Nearby, Unown ”P,” seeing the entrance open, immediately flew inside impatiently, sending telepathic messages:

”Chen Mo, this way!”

After Chen Mo corrected it, Unown had stopped calling him ”Hero of Ideals” and now addressed him by name.

”Got it, coming.”

The cave was dim.

Just as Chen Mo was about to take out a flashlight—

A soft glow lit up beside him.

He looked up.

At the large lizard holding a twig.

A smile appeared.

”Thanks, Sceptile.”

”Sceptile.”

It waved casually and moved ahead, lighting the way.

”Maybe I should teach Pikachu Flash…”

Chen Mo muttered thoughtfully.

He’d had that idea before—

But events had escalated too quickly.

Boom!

Following Unown ”P,” they reached the chamber with the Omanyte puzzle.

”There!”

Even without prompting, Chen Mo saw—

The underground passage, sealed in crystal.

Sceptile stepped forward.

With a storm of green energy—

The crystals shattered into dust.

No turning back now.

Chen Mo took a deep breath—

And followed.

Inside—

The crystallization was far worse.

Thanks to his Pokémon—

They made it through.

Defeating Suicune earlier—

Had been the right choice.

Otherwise—

With the crystals regenerating so fast—

This would’ve been impossible.

”Pika!”

Another Iron Tail—

The path opened.

Unown ”P” rushed ahead.

”Chen Mo—here!”

”We’re there?”

Chen Mo stepped into a wide chamber.

Above—

Countless Unown floated motionless—

Spiraling like black dragons.

”…That is…”

He looked forward.

At the very top—

A massive symbol—

Destroyed.

From the photos earlier—

He recognized it.

Giratina’s symbol.

”…Was it Hu Chengliang and the others?”

Unown wouldn’t destroy it.

So—

It had to be the investigation team.

Something had happened.

Which meant—

This was tied to Giratina.

”…What is it trying to do…”

Chen Mo frowned.

Even with his knowledge—

He couldn’t understand.

”Forget it. First—we fix this.”

He turned to Unown ”P.”

”What now?”

”Look ahead.”

It focused upward.

There—

A massive sphere—

Formed by countless Unown.

Chen Mo narrowed his eyes.

At the center—

One Unown floated alone.

Shaped like a ”C.”

Unown ”C.”

The one left behind.

A single Unown—

Was weak.

So—

”P” needed to awaken ”C.”

Together—

They might stop everything.

It sounded abstract.

But—

There was no other option.

”I can do this now,” Unown ”P” said.

”Because you defeated Suicune—they’ve entered a dormant state.”

”Don’t jinx it…”

Chen Mo muttered.

”What’s ’jinx’?”

”…Never mind.”

Chen Mo smiled faintly.

”Need help?”

”No. Leave it to me.”

Unown ”P” flew toward the sphere.

Chen Mo and the others followed.

The moment it touched—

Chen Mo saw—

Dark red light—

Spreading.

From Unown to Unown—

Like a chain.

All converging—

Into the sphere.

”Danger!”

Instinct screamed.

Chen Mo grabbed Unown ”P”—

Pulling it back.

The next second—

Red light exploded outward.

A shockwave—

Struck him directly.

”Pika!”

Pikachu panicked.

But—

Sceptile reacted instantly.

Grabbing Pikachu—

Leaping—

Firing Energy Ball midair.

Boom!

The blast blocked the wave.

They landed safely.

”Pikachu!”

It ran to Chen Mo.

Gengar and Unown ”P” rushed over.

…

Meanwhile—

At the camp—

”…That’s what happened.”

Lin Muxiu lay in bed, in pain.

A nightmare.

Only he escaped.

Everyone else—

Including Hu Chengliang, Officer Jun, and the Growlithe—

Were consumed.

Before collapsing—

They entrusted him with one message:

”Professor Zhou… warn Chen Mo…”

”Unown can read human hearts.”

”The more you focus on something—

the more likely they make it real.”

They had tried to escape—

But the path looped endlessly.

Then—

When they believed Growlithe could protect them—

Unown manifested Growlithe.

That fear—

Created Suicune.

Now—

They understood.

Professor Zhou nodded.

Then—

Footsteps.

The researcher rushed in.

”Something’s wrong!”

”No contact with Xiao Mo?”

Zhou asked calmly.

”That’s not it—”

”The crystals are spreading again.”

”Four to five times faster.”

”…What!?”

…

Back in the ruins—

Chen Mo opened his eyes.

Pain surged through his body.

He tried to stand—

But his legs gave out.

Gengar caught him.

”…Humans really have limits…”

He forced a breath.

”What’s happening?”

He looked up.

Unown—

Glowing red.

”…Giratina…”

”Sorry…”

Unown ”P” said quietly.

”I’m fine.”

Chen Mo smiled.

”Can you still stop them?”

”Yes.”

”If I reach ’C’—we can do it.”

Its voice—

Firm.

Chen Mo paused.

Something felt off.

Before—

It said ”maybe.”

Now—

”definitely.”

”You…”

”I understand now why Lord Zekrom chose you.”

”You will become the true Hero of Ideals.”

”Don’t worry about me.”

”At worst… I’ll just sleep for a long time.”

”….”

Chen Mo was silent.

Then nodded.

”…Alright.”

”I’ll help you.”

”Thank you.”

Unown ”P” said no more.

But Chen Mo could feel—

Something was changing.

He clenched his teeth—

And released Absol.

”Everyone—cover Unown!”
