Pokémon Invasion: Explaining Pokémon to Save the World

The torrential rain blurred the drone footage, but when that dazzling streak of lightning slammed into the water in front of Suicune at a speed invisible to the naked eye, everyone finally saw the mysterious figure wrapped in blue and golden electricity.

Since Pokémon had been introduced, many had gained immense popularity upon debut—like Milotic recently.

But over time, that popularity usually faded.

Even Suicune was no exception.

Except for one Pokémon.

Its popularity had never dropped—in fact, with official promotion, it had become the most widely recognized and beloved Pokémon in the country.

And the moment that lightning appeared—

Countless viewers shouted its name.

”Pikachu!”

In the Pokémon Cabin group chat:

[That electric glow—it’s Mo bringing Pikachu into the fight!]

[I knew he wouldn’t just sit back!]

[Honestly, this feels reckless. He should be solving things from the rear, not jumping into battle.]

[Last time they couldn’t even beat Hydreigon… now this?]

[But this Suicune is fake—and already injured. There’s still a chance!]

[Seeing him show up makes me feel safe. Go, Pikachu!]

”Sceptile!?”

Sceptile was stunned.

It hadn’t expected Pikachu to intercept the attack at the last moment.

Electricity and water collided violently.

Pikachu gritted its teeth.

Recently, besides training Iron Tail, it had learned another move—

Volt Tackle.

A powerful but risky move that damages the user.

But now—

There was no choice.

”Pika… CHU!!!”

It unleashed everything.

Holding back Suicune’s Liquidation.

At that moment—

Sceptile acted.

Its leaf blade glowed, slicing through the rain—

Striking from the side.

Balance broke.

Volt Tackle + Leaf Blade—

Three forces collided.

Boom!

All three Pokémon were blown away.

…

Suicune twisted midair—

Trying to land smoothly—

But—

A slicing attack descended from above.

Its senses sharpened—

It tried to dodge—

But suddenly—

Blue lightning surged across its body.

Boom!

Pidgeotto’s Air Slash struck the ground.

Suicune barely avoided it—

Landing awkwardly—

Electric arcs crackling across its body.

”…That’s…”

Chen Mo, now visible on screen atop Pidgeotto, lit up.

Paralysis!

A powerful status condition.

Even if different from the game—

This was huge.

”Nice job, Pikachu!”

He jumped down—

Still focused.

He released a Poké Ball.

”Come out—Absol!”

A white figure appeared.

Its eyes—

Cold.

Locked onto Suicune.

It was furious.

This fake Suicune—

Was tarnishing the real one.

”Stay calm.”

Chen Mo reminded.

Absol nodded—

Joining the fight.

Then—

Chen Mo noticed something.

”…Wait.”

”…Where’s Gengar?”

He shouted:

”Gengar, where are you!?”

After a delay—

Haunterslowly rose from the ground.

”Geh?”

It looked half-asleep.

Then—

Saw the battle—

And rushed in.

”…Something’s off…”

Chen Mo frowned.

But no time.

He activated Aura, observing everything.

”ROAR!”

Suicune fired a Hydro Pump—

Creating space.

It was struggling.

Injured.

And—

Those blue electric arcs…

Not normal.

Hard to heal.

No time to recover.

Its eyes grew feral.

Then—

It gathered power.

Extrasensory.

Invisible force surged toward Pikachu.

”Pika!”

Too late to dodge—

But—

Absol stepped in.

Dark pulses radiated outward—

Blocking the attack.

”Good! Keep it up!”

Chen Mo commanded.

Strategy:

Pikachu & Sceptile → counter WaterAbsol & Haunter→ counter PsychicPidgeotto → support

”Keep wearing it down—we can win!”

Then—

Chen Mo noticed something.

Gengar—

Was suddenly at the front.

”Danger! Get back!”

But—

Haunterignored him.

Its body dissolved into darkness.

Suicune prepared to strike—

But—

Hauntervanished.

”…!?”

Chen Mo froze.

Then—

Darkness surged again—

Behind Suicune.

Haunterappeared—

And unleashed a full-power Dark-type attack at point-blank range.

”ROAR!!!”

Suicune cried out.

It fired back—

But—

Hauntervanished again.

Pikachu, Absol, and Pidgeotto—

Were stunned.

Sceptile—

Excited.

Hope grew.

”…Wait…”

Chen Mo was confused.

That move—

Phantom Force.

Hauntershouldn’t know it.

Then—

Another strike.

Thunder Punch.

”…What!?”

That too—

Wasn’t in its moveset.

And—

Haunterwas overwhelming Suicune.

Chen Mo was dumbfounded.

He had expected Pikachu to lead.

Instead—

Haunterstepped in—

Like a protective parent—

Taking over.

”This is my fight.”

That’s what it felt like.

Meanwhile—

Suicune faltered.

The paralysis.

The damage.

It couldn’t hold on.

Rain stopped.

Clouds parted.

Stars returned.

Moonlight fell—

Casting Chen Mo’s shadow—

Stretching wildly behind him.
