Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

”That world once gave birth to the powerful expert closest to the Dominator!”

Hearing the Almighty Demon Vine’s words, Wen Yu was stunned.

Almighty Demon Vine: An Esoteric Level item. It is the ultimate biochemical weapon cultivated by the former Universe of Immortals and Heroes, using Demon Flesh as the raw material. The Almighty Demon Vine lodges in the host’s body, feeding on Demon Flesh. When it absorbs Demon Flesh, it automatically replenishes the host, permanently elevating the host’s lifespan and peak physical quality. It can also be used as a weapon, defensive tool, recovery method, or a special-purpose item. As an ultimate creation of the Universe of Immortals and Heroes, the Almighty Demon Vine has numerous uses and effects! The host will need to explore these effects on their own.

This was the Dominator’s commentary on the Almighty Demon Vine during the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle.

In the past, Wen Yu hadn’t cared at all about which civilization an item originated from. It was, anyway, going to be used by him. Besides, no matter which civilization those items came from, that civilization had ultimately been exterminated by the Demon Tribe. What was the use of understanding its origin?

But now, the Almighty Demon Vine’s words suggested that reality wasn’t quite so simple...

At this thought, Wen Yu asked, ”Does the Universe of Immortals and Heroes still exist?”

”It’s been gone for a long time. Nothing left, wiped out completely!”

The Almighty Demon Vine’s words, filled with profound grief, were absolutely, unequivocally certain.

”Then how do you plan to return?”

A scoff escaped the Almighty Demon Vine the moment it heard the question.

”Do you know how a treasure land is created?”

Hearing this, Wen Yu fell silent.

”When a world is defeated, its Source is stolen by the Demon Tribe. The Dominator then takes the remaining barren lands, structures, treasures, and technologies.”

”The Dominator reworks these lifeless lands, crafting unique treasure lands one after another.”

”He and the Demon Tribe divided the world’s spoils equally! A perfect plan!”

In the Almighty Demon Vine’s words, the Dominator was unequivocally positioned as an enemy.

This attitude made Wen Yu very certain of one thing: the Almighty Demon Vine definitely knew something! But there was no way to ask about it yet... because there were far too many questions running through Wen Yu’s mind!

Perhaps sensing Wen Yu’s dilemma, the Almighty Demon Vine decisively sent out a Spiritual Fluctuation.

”These things cannot be discussed in this world. Just remember one thing: in this world, the Dominator is nearly omnipotent and omniscient. Perhaps what you’ve always tried to hide is actually under the Dominator’s control. To break this deadlock, you must rely on external forces! This external force refers to something outside of Earth itself! Something beyond the Dominator’s control! Help me, and you will learn much, much more!”

After hearing the Almighty Demon Vine’s words, Wen Yu squinted.

On the surface, Wen Yu seemed calm, but deep inside, a storm was brewing! What the Almighty Demon Vine meant was—could Rebirth be part of the Dominator’s plan?

However, Wen Yu showed no fear on the surface and resolutely said, ”How can I help you? The Universe of Immortals and Heroes is gone. What can I possibly do to help you?”

”Through a treasure land!”

The Almighty Demon Vine once again shook the treasure land key hanging from its front end.

”I can change the destination of the treasure land! We can go directly to the Heavenly Palace, to see my former master’s tomb. It must have been transformed into a Super Treasure Land! Detailed records of everything are there!”

”I don’t trust you!”

”It doesn’t matter if you trust me or not; there’s nothing I can do. I don’t wish to threaten or force you to do anything.”

”You decide!”

Hearing the Almighty Demon Vine’s answer, Wen Yu’s mouth twitched.

Seeking profit was Wen Yu’s instinct. Upon encountering this ”powerhouse” (a term Wen Yu knew from web novels) from the Universe of Immortals and Heroes, he naturally wanted to get something out of the Almighty Demon Vine. Even if the Almighty Demon Vine had nothing material, some information would be good too. Unfortunately, that approach wasn’t working. The Almighty Demon Vine’s previous answer was very clear: Want benefits? Come with me to the Heavenly Palace. With my help—my ’cheat,’ so to speak—the benefits inside will all be yours. But if you don’t agree, then fine, we’ll leave things as they are. I won’t force you!

However, considering the Almighty Demon Vine’s current Soul Strength, it would be incredibly easy for it to cause trouble for Wen Yu!

Considering these factors, Wen Yu laid his cards on the table and said directly, ”I can help you, but we need to agree on something. In the future, you need to listen to my instructions. Even if you don’t always listen, at the very least, you must help me!”

”You have to help me raise my physical quality cap, enhance my Soul Strength, and transform into a divine beast. These are my conditions!”

The Almighty Demon Vine was silent for a long moment, then asked in a solemn tone, ”Do you know what method I would use to change the treasure land’s destination?”

The conservation of energy is a universal truth in every world. Just as a Professionist uses their own stamina as fuel to unleash skills, changing a treasure land’s destination is tantamount to opposing the Dominator. The price for such an act is heartbreaking even to contemplate. In its current state, the Almighty Demon Vine was attached to Wen Yu. If it wanted to change the treasure land’s destination, it would have to consume Wen Yu’s energy! No, there was another option! It could expend its own Soul Power! Changing a treasure land’s destination would undoubtedly consume a vast amount of energy. If the Almighty Demon Vine chose to use Wen Yu’s energy as fuel, then who would be left to take it to its former master’s grave? The two were currently in a symbiotic relationship.

So, after hearing the Almighty Demon Vine’s question, Wen Yu immediately fell into deep thought.

After a long pause, the Almighty Demon Vine was the first to speak.

”I will consume my Soul to forcibly open the treasure land. This is something I didn’t necessarily need to inform you about, but since my body is connected to yours, I hope you can take me to see my master’s tomb.”

”After this is over, I will give you benefits and tell you everything I know. I... I truly just want to go home!”

”And once this is done, you don’t need to worry about me trying to usurp your place. My existence itself is merely a contingency plan left by my master. Once the treasure land is opened, the Dominator will definitely become aware.”

”This Soul, which has endured for millennia, cannot exist for much longer!”

”After I die, I will leave a wisp of spiritual light within the Almighty Demon Vine. You can use it as a foundation to cultivate your own Almighty Demon Vine.”

”I’m begging you...”

”Boss, agree to it.”

Victor’s voice suddenly transmitted into Wen Yu’s mind.

Looking at the rigidly upright Almighty Demon Vine before him, then at his three silent soul pets to the side, Wen Yu suddenly understood what the Almighty Demon Vine was thinking at that moment.
