Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Just when Kasu was at a loss, Lin Haifeng gave Kasu a new target. This was merely Lin Haifeng’s unintentional gesture of goodwill.

”Akad is likely in M City, in the Northeast of Cathay!”

Kasu, brimming with a strong sense of justice, had only one conviction regarding Akad: Akad must die!

Therefore, after leaving Yanjing, Kasu decisively headed to M City. He searched for survivors and asked about Akad’s whereabouts.

Unfortunately, there were few survivors in M City...

Wanping was the third living person Kasu had found. Considering Wanping’s relationship with Akad, he was very likely to know Akad’s exact location!

「...」

How should one choose between minor and major evils? Given the current situation, Kasu might spare Wanping, this ”minor evil,” and go after Akad, the ”major evil”!

At least, faced with Kasu’s silence, Wanping harbored this hopeful thought.

Kasu’s next words finally allowed Wanping to breathe a sigh of relief.

”I’m here to find Akad.”

「...」

”Have you seen him?”

Hearing Kasu’s question, Wanping nodded.

”Yes.”

”Where is he?”

Kasu was a man of few words and acted decisively. He cut straight to the chase, stating his purpose without any unnecessary preamble.

Wanping hesitated for a moment, then his mind quickly raced, imagining the likely sequence of events.

Kasu will go after Akad. I can use the opportunity to kill Ye Nan and then make my escape. I’ll silently increase my strength around the world and take revenge on Wen Yu when the time is right. Perfect!

So, Wanping replied without hesitation, ”The last time I saw them, they were in downtown M City. They probably haven’t left the urban area yet.”

Upon hearing this, Kasu paused for a moment, nodded slowly, and then said calmly, ”Thank you.”

A scorching white light began to flicker...

「...」

”Hey, hey, hey, what do you think you’re doing? Bro, don’t mess around!”

Seeing Kasu’s aura begin to surge, Wanping finally realized things were not going as he had expected.

Trying to judge a goody-two-shoes by common sense is simply unrealistic.

Kasu’s thinking was simple: why not deal with both major and minor evils? Just get rid of them all at once.

Although Wanping’s sins were far less than Akad’s, he was still entangled with the resentful souls of at least several thousand unjustly killed people. The negative energy emanating from him was simply unbearable for Kasu!

Get the information he wanted, then kill them.

Purify evil...

This was very much Kasu’s style.

In fact, from a certain perspective, the methods of a ”goody-two-shoes” were closer to those of an irredeemable villain.

「...」

”Wait, just wait a moment!”

Wanping, seemingly terrified by the aura Kasu unleashed, hastily retreated.

”Say your last words. If it’s something good, I’ll help you accomplish it.”

Kasu, enveloped in Holy Light, looked as pure and radiant as a descending angel. However, this, combined with his cold tone and clear yet vacant gaze, gave Wanping a profound sense of absurdity.

What bullshit ”purifying evil”—isn’t it just killing? If you’re going to kill someone, just admit you find me an eyesore! Why bother with such a crappy excuse!

”I can help you find Akad, the kind where I take you right to him!” Wanping retreated hastily, speaking very quickly.

”No need. Associating with evil, I’m afraid, would taint my own Soul!”

Kasu didn’t stop, slowly closing in on Wanping. His aura continued to intensify, growing stronger and stronger. It was predictable that once Kasu attacked, Wanping would be plunged into a situation beyond redemption!

”Killing Akad will be troublesome for you too, right? Akad isn’t weak. I can help you!”

”Unnecessary. Akad has already had his entire physical constitution crippled by Vincent. Killing him will be very easy for me.”

Hearing this, Wanping was struck by an absurd thought—so, I slipped away for nothing?

But now wasn’t the time to think about that—I’m about to be f*cking executed on the spot by this goody-two-shoes!

”He has an accomplice! His accomplice is very strong!” Wanping had backed into a corner.

”I know about his accomplice. He’s not very strong.”

To Kasu, Ye Nan and Zhang Shaojie were indeed not considered strong.

”Sigh, bro, so there’s nothing to discuss then?”

”Nothing to discuss. You must die!” Kasu delivered the final judgment.

”I have one last thing to say.”

Kasu halted and nodded at Wanping.

”Speak your last words. This is God’s final mercy to you!”

Wanping swallowed hard, his expression panicky. He asked, as if blurting out words without thinking, ”Which God do you believe in?”

「...」

The sudden question caught Kasu off guard.

Kasu had purified far too many villains. When facing their own deaths, these cold-blooded executioners usually wore only one expression—utter terror! Their last words were always pleas for mercy.

Compared to ordinary people, these ferocious and wicked individuals might actually hide an insecure, even weak, Soul.

But this was the first time Kasu had encountered ”last words” like Wanping’s.

After a slight pause, Kasu chose to answer, ”The Almighty Elohim.”

”Oh~~ in that case, please deliver this to that old man Elohim for me!”

Wanping’s tone suddenly became unusually calm. Then, he promptly gave Kasu the middle finger!

Seeing the familiar, internationally recognized gesture, Kasu froze. He stood stunned for a good three seconds, his face instantly flushing beet red!

For someone like Kasu, insulting his faith was even more agonizing than killing him!

”DIE!!!”

A furious roar erupted from Kasu’s mouth. Immediately after, a violent white light erupted like a miniature Sun.

”BOOM!”

A deafening explosion and the scorching white light swept across the entire abandoned factory, instantly purifying the steel structures within into nothingness.

However, where the white light swept through, Wanping was already gone.

Just as Wen Yu had once said, even Wen Yu quite admired Wanping’s knack for escaping.

「...」

Kasu, having unleashed a strike of Divine Purification, surprisingly calmed down.

He slowly closed his eyes, his powerful Perception Ability spreading out. In less than three seconds, Kasu had found Wanping’s direction.

That loathsome figure was desperately fleeing towards the center of M City.

”YOU! WILL! NOT! ESCAPE!”

Dazzling white light once again radiated from Kasu. Then, a pair of wings made of pure white light slowly extended from his back.

The pure white light wings fluttered gently, and an immense power propelled Kasu’s body forward, like a streak of white light, in swift pursuit of the fleeing Wanping!

Wanping, sensing this, felt a flicker of disgust in his eyes.

Damn goody-two-shoes, meddling like a dog trying to catch mice! Since you insist on interfering, then I’ll gladly play along!
