Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Standing in front of the car’s hood, Chen Wen opens it up.

But looking at the multitude of car parts inside, a trace of embarrassment flashes across his face.

He doesn’t know how to fix cars and has no understanding of car components.

”This is awkward; I have no idea what’s wrong with this car.”

Muttering to himself, Chen Wen closes the car’s hood.

However, this time after getting in, he doesn’t lock the car doors.

Given his steady nature, this car doesn’t seem very reliable!

Beside him, Xiaoyuan is also somewhat tense.

It’s worried that the car might have issues.

After driving for about another ten minutes, Xiaoyuan finds a shallow excuse, flies out of the car, and goes outside.

Seeing Xiao Yuan’s actions, Chen Wen also feels a bit uneasy.

It’s like a herd mentality.

Originally, no one was concerned about this possible, potential danger, but once one person shows concern, others naturally become resistant too.

Therefore, after driving for another half hour.

Chen Wen slowly pulls over.

He gets out of the car, walks around the SUV carefully, then furrows his brows.

”Hmm, it feels fine, but...”

Chen Wen ponders for a moment, shaking his head.

He plans to drive until nightfall and then reconsider.

Over the course of the day, Chen Wen drives on and off.

By evening, he has reached the downstream of a creek.

Here, the creek is much wider than it was in the morning.

However, Chen Wen’s expression isn’t filled with joy; instead, he continues to frown.

Because the unusual noise from the car is getting louder.

Additionally, in the afternoon, Chen Wen notices that the right front tire has seemingly been scraped by a sharp stone, causing a tear and thus a leak.

Driving until nightfall is already Chen Wen’s limit.

Therefore, after hesitating for a long time, Chen Wen finally decides to abandon the car.

He doesn’t dare to continue driving.

Moreover, if the car breaks down, he wouldn’t know how to fix it.

So, during a rest break.

Chen Wen meticulously sorts through the canned food and stored smoked meat, selecting what he needs most, as well as what the animals can eat.

He would take these items and leave the rest by the creekside!

Chen Wen thinks to himself.

...

After resting by the creek for a night.

The next day, Chen Wen takes the supplies he needs and abandons the car.

He continues forward.

Chen Wen walks along the creek for about three hours.

Soon, Xiaoyuan returns from high in the sky with great news for him.

”Chen Wen, just ahead is the big river you mentioned. The creek fully merges into the big river just up ahead!”

Upon hearing this news, a hint of joy flashes across Chen Wen’s face.

Reaching the big river means rescue is just ahead!

Moreover, once at the big river, Chen Wen can also relax a bit.

Because he has a very powerful transformation ability that can be used in the big river, which is — transforming into a hippopotamus!

The creek’s waters are too shallow, and Chen Wen hasn’t had the chance.

But in the big river, Chen Wen will have space to exhibit his skills!

...

At noon.

With Chen Wen carrying Dahuang, they scale a rather steep cliff.

He officially leaves the wide and arid plains of the central Kimberley Plateau.

Now, he arrives at the northern part of the Kimberley Plateau.

Here, although it’s a wide plain, it’s not arid.

Numerous creeks converge in this area, ultimately forming a wide river.

Continuing along this big river, rescue is not far.

After resting at noon.

Chen Wen, with Dahuang, descends from the hill to the junction where the creek meets the big river.

At the confluence, Chen Wen’s face reveals a hint of a smile.

He sees fish!

A lot of fish!

And judging by their size, the fish here aren’t small.

He even notices a large fish about half a meter long!

These fish swim continuously at the point of convergence, capturing both Chen Wen’s and Dahuang’s attention.

Dahuang hasn’t eaten anything good for the past few days.

Most of the time, it’s been surviving on smoked meat.

But that dry, hard smoked meat can’t compare to fresh, large fish, can it?

So, looking at these fish, Dahuang’s mouth begins to water.

”Hehe, since we found them, we can’t just leave them, Dahuang!”

Chen Wen’s face carries an excited smile: ”Can you swim?”

”Of course! Woof!”

Dahuang barks excitedly.

As a mature Australian Wild Dog, its wilderness survival skills are maxed out.

From scaling mountains to swimming across waters, hunting to tracking, it pretty much knows it all!

”That’s good then!”

Chen Wen grabs a long spear, tosses aside his clothes, and, wearing only his underwear, heads to the water’s edge.

At this moment, he’s not concerned about being seen by others.

Chen Wen says: ”Let’s get in the water together. Later, when I spear a fish, you pull them to the shore. Also, if you can catch one, do it directly! Oh boy, upon closer inspection, why are there so many carp here!”

Saying this, Chen Wen notices a carp about ten centimeters long staring at him right at the water’s edge.

How can Chen Wen tolerate such provocation?

He wields his long spear, utilizing the light refraction from his [Underwater Vision] ability, and thrusts forward.

The carp barely struggles before being swept away by Chen Wen’s spear!

After tossing the carp onto the shore, Chen Wen’s expression begins to grow excited.

He lets out a peculiar whoop, plunging into the water like a heavyweight bomb.

The carp in the water are startled by Chen Wen and immediately scatter in all directions.

But the carp in this area are simply too numerous!

As some flee, new ones arrive to take their place.

Looking at all these carp, Chen Wen can’t help but wonder: Is this paradise?

Although he had long heard about the overpopulation of carp in Australia, he never imagined it could be this extreme!

Diving into the water, Chen Wen grabs his long spear, aiming at a roughly fifteen-centimeter carp.

But just as he’s about to make his move, a carp nearly thirty centimeters in length emerges.

So big!

Chen Wen’s eyes widen.

A thirty-centimeter carp in his home country would be a showpiece dish on its own.

But just before Chen Wen makes a move.

A hefty fellow, nearly forty centimeters long, pushes through the school of fish, arriving near the confluence.

Where the river converges is a hub of fish activity, rich with food and slow-flowing, making it very easy for fish schools to gather.

Additionally, with the creek flowing from the mountains, it brings along a significant amount of food.

This results in a large gathering of carp at this spot.

Chen Wen takes up his long spear, targets this nearly forty-centimeter big fellow, and thrusts fiercely!

[Giant Strength] activated!

The long spear nearly pierces through the carp’s body, pinning it stubbornly to the riverbed.

And with Chen Wen’s immense strength coursing through it, the spear nails the carp firmly at the bottom.

The enormous carp struggles continuously, its long tail fin whipping up the silt from the riverbed, turning the underwater environment murky.

But Chen Wen pays no mind to these trivialities.

He grabs the carp and rises from the water!
