Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Dahuang joined Chen Wen.

Seeing Chen Wen bring Dahuang back to camp, Dennis showed an expression of admiration.

He’s realized that whenever Chen Wen takes action, there isn’t an animal he can’t tame.

”This wild dog... really looks like a Chinese rural dog!”

Hua Yun couldn’t help but say as she looked at the approaching Australian Wild Dog.

Chen Wen nodded too: ”Yes, look at its appearance; it’s very much like a typical yellow dog with a white face. Its tongue is spotted, indicating it has hunting dog genes, so its body must be very strong.”

”That’s why I gave it a name...”

Chen Wen paused mysteriously, piquing Hua Yun’s curiosity: ”What is it?”

”Dahuang! How’s that? Sounds good, right?”

Upon hearing the name, the corner of Hua Yun’s mouth twitched slightly.

Sounds good... my foot!

This name is so rustic!

She shook her head without saying more, since it was a name given by Chen Wen.

”Then what does it eat? We can’t feed it the meat of its companions, right?”

Hua Yun asked again.

Chen Wen thought for a moment and said: ”No worries, this guy has a broad diet and is very easy to feed, from 1 kilogram of rodents to 90 kilograms of kangaroos, even carrion, insects, and fruits are in its diet.”

”Forget about it for these days, let’s give it some figs to tide it over, and when we encounter kangaroos again, we can give it some innards and the like, letting it have a good meal!”

Hearing this, Hua Yun slightly nodded.

Chen Wen then smiled and said: ”Speaking of which, Australian Wild Dogs are indeed a very peculiar animal; they possess the advantages of domestic dogs and characteristics similar to wolves. If one can tame a large group of Australian Wild Dogs, they can even form a very combat-effective hunting dog pack.”

Upon hearing this, Dennis, standing nearby, couldn’t help but chime in: ”Actually, our association over there has also tried to tame Australian Wild Dogs, but it takes a lot of time and meat feed. And according to some zoologists’ studies, Australian Wild Dogs are considered semi-domesticated beasts, so taming them is still quite possible.”

Adam was also interested in the topic and smiled: ”But your government doesn’t want you to tame them.”

”That’s true, because no matter what, they are an invasive species. Moreover, once taming is open, it might thoroughly pollute the genetics of Australian Wild Dogs.”

Dennis said helplessly.

He actually really likes Australian Wild Dogs.

No matter how you look at it, these guys give off a particularly brave and clever vibe.

Chen Wen nodded and looked at Dahuang.

Unlocking its communication ability, allowing it to converse with Taipan Snake and Hunting Owl.

It’s considered officially accepted, making it a new member.

Dahuang’s joining successfully dispelled the tension in Chen Wen and Hua Yun’s hearts.

They rested for a while in place and had lunch.

During lunch, Hua Yun fed Dahuang quite a few figs, watching Dahuang eat happily, Hua Yun couldn’t help but smile and squint her eyes.

She always felt this Australian Wild Dog was quite spiritual and very similar to a rural dog she raised during childhood.

After eating, Chen Wen proposed to detour forward.

No one opposed.

After all, contact with indigenous people may lead to conflict, or nothing could happen.

By bypassing the indigenous people, nothing happening is guaranteed.

So detouring is naturally the better choice.

Therefore, under Chen Wen’s lead, they set off in the opposite direction as scouted by Hunting Owl.

...

But Chen Wen and his group didn’t realize that during this time, the Hunting Owl group resumed their old trade.

They began poaching in the woods.

This Hunting Owl squad’s targets were easily transported reptiles, brightly colored birds, and rodents and small mammals that provide high-quality leather.

Under the command of leader Enzo, the Hunting Owl squad split into two groups.

One team was Enzo and Habakkuk, while the other consisted of the two local indigenous people.

They were brothers and coordinated seamlessly while hunting.

Enzo and Habakkuk were old partners too.

After retiring from the special forces, Enzo met Habakkuk, who had just joined the Hunting Owl Organization, through a friend’s introduction.

It’s fair to say Habakkuk was Enzo’s guide.

But with Enzo’s excellent survival skills and hunting ability in the wild revealed, he became Habakkuk’s superior.

However, their relationship was somewhat closer than that of other Hunting Owl team members.

Thus, they cooperate quite harmoniously.

Deep in the woods, Enzo kept scanning the surroundings with binoculars; this was his first time in this area.

As a result, he was very cautious with every step.

However, while walking, he irritatingly said: ”This time, we absolutely won’t let go of that blue bird; even if we can’t catch it alive, its body can be made into a specimen for sale! Those bird enthusiast clients will also pay a good price for the specimen!”

Hearing this, Habakkuk replied somewhat helplessly: ”But live ones are always worth half more than specimens, so let’s try to capture them if possible.”

While they were talking, Enzo suddenly saw something unusual. He instinctively reached out and pulled Habakkuk.

”Don’t shoot yet!”

Enzo said with a serious look: ”I think I saw... our target!”

What?

Habakkuk looked a bit puzzled, scratching his head just as he intended to speak.

A hint of delight flashed across Enzo’s face.

He immediately said: ”Notify the Mei Ke brothers and tell them to come over; I’ve spotted Chen Wen!”

Chen Wen!

The name made Habakkuk’s expression turn grave, immediately putting down the gun and pulling out a device similar to a satellite phone.

After pressing the button, on the other side of the woods.

The Mei Ke brothers, who were excavating rabbit holes, took out a similar device.

Seeing the red dot on it, they exchanged glances, showing a hint of joy on their faces.

”The target has appeared!”

”Let’s go! Head towards the wealthy one!”

The two muttered as they quickly rushed toward Enzo’s and Habakkuk’s location.

...

In the woods.

As Chen Wen moved forward, he suddenly felt a slight discomfort.

He felt as though there were many small bugs crawling all over his body, and he felt itchy all over.

But when he reached out to scratch the itchy spot, there was nothing.

No bugs, no bite marks, everything seemed normal.

What the hell is this?

Chen Wen wondered.

And just as he stopped to check what was happening to him.

Suddenly, a chill emerged from his tailbone, rushing up his spine and into his mind.

Danger!

Two words suddenly popped into Chen Wen’s mind.

He jumped forward abruptly, rolling to hide behind a bush.

And just the next second, a muffled gunshot shattered the silence of the woods.

Bam!
