Wilderness Survival with Druid System

The helicopter arrived in the desert and took Elvin away.

This also signifies that the Australian Association only has Dennis left as the sole survivor.

At this moment, the UK-US Joint Team and the Russian-French Joint Team arrived one after the other at the second gathering point of a swampy area.

Gazing at the muddy ground, the two teams looked at each other speechlessly.

Why did all the unfortunate events happen in this challenge?

Did they catch up with the biggest flood in a century, or possibly the largest in history?

”What do you think?”

Oleg looked at Hope.

Hope didn’t answer but turned to the staff: ”Did anyone come here before?”

”Chen Wen’s team was here.”

The staff replied.

Answering this question is not considered a violation.

Hope paused: ”Did they leave?”

”They left several days ago.”

Another silence.

”Let’s go straight through; otherwise, we won’t have enough time.”

Oleg said.

He turned back to gather his team members’ opinions, and none objected.

Therefore, after exchanging supplies.

Oleg led the Russian-French Joint Team to traverse the muddy land.

Fortunately, as time passed, the water here reduced somewhat.

The deepest parts barely submerged mid-thigh of the crowd.

After Oleg and his team left.

Hope prudently chose to take a detour.

He felt there wasn’t enough time to directly cross this area.

Thus, he decided to take a detour.

As the two teams set off, it also meant all participants of this Desert Extreme Challenge left the Great Sand Desert.

Entering the latter half.

...

Soon, night fell.

Chen Wen and his party found a Baobab Tree and sat under it.

The large canopy of the Baobab Tree provided shelter for Chen Wen’s group, allowing them to react even if it suddenly rained at night.

After lighting a fire, everyone sat cross-legged under the tree, making a simple shelter out of gathered branches.

The crowd drank water greedily, enjoying the rare coolness of the night.

”By the way.”

Chen Wen opened the conversation: ”Shouldn’t we look for water now?”

Since eliminating the Japanese team, each of them carried three canteens.

Moreover, the camel pouches were discarded, and now each person’s water storage was just over three liters.

Drinking normally would last for two days.

But under current circumstances, it would barely last a day.

Upon hearing Chen Wen’s words, the others nodded.

Without the camel pouches, they must find water daily.

”Let’s do this, tomorrow I’ll have Xiaoyuan search for water; it’s easier to find water from above.”

Hearing this, everyone nodded in agreement.

At the moment, Xiaoyuan wasn’t in the camp.

It flew to the top of the tall Baobab Tree, intrigued by it.

The Taipan Snake was also nowhere to be seen.

It went to find food.

Just as they took out kangaroo jerky and began chewing with difficulty.

Suddenly, Xiaoyuan above let out a loud cry.

Hearing this commotion, Chen Wen was startled.

Then he quickly said: ”Everyone, move aside, something’s falling from above!”

As he spoke, Chen Wen quickly moved away.

The others, though slightly slower, also managed to dodge in time.

As they moved, the sound of breaking wind approached from afar overhead.

Accompanied by a thud, a fruit smaller than a coconut fell near where they had just been sitting.

Smashed to pieces.

”Is this...?”

Dennis, being bold, quickly walked over to the fruit, his eyes shining: ”Baobab fruit!”

Though he saw the Baobab Tree during the day, Dennis hadn’t given it much thought.

But after having the kangaroo jerky, Dennis suddenly realized the Baobab fruit was a good thing!

At the very least, it’s delicious!

The Baobab Tree is a tree species native to Africa.

It can be described as the cherished treasure of the African people, the softest part of their hearts.

The reason is simple: during the rainy season, the Baobab Tree absorbs and stores large amounts of water in its trunk.

During the dry season, people can obtain abundant water from the Baobab Tree.

Since the Baobab Tree has provided lifesaving water to many traversing the tropical savannah.

It’s also known as the ”Tree of Life” or ”Tree of Salvation.”

The Baobab fruit is fleshy and juicy, containing amino acids and mucilage; it’s edible, with a slightly sour taste, and quite palatable.

Moreover, the Baobab fruit can be eaten raw, made into refreshing beverages, or used as a condiment.

The oil extracted from its seeds is a high-quality edible oil.

One could say every part of it is valuable.

As Dennis and Chen Wen both were tempted by the Baobab Tree.

Above.

Xiaoyuan hurriedly flew down.

It asked loudly: ”Did anyone get hurt? Did anyone get hurt?”

Seeing Xiaoyuan so flustered, Chen Wen quickly reached out to calm it.

Upon seeing no one was injured, Xiaoyuan breathed a sigh of relief.

Regaining its composure, Xiaoyuan recounted its recent encounter: ”I saw a lot of fruit on this tree and thought of picking one for you all to see if it was edible. But just as I pecked at a fruit, it fell off with a whoosh.”

Hearing this, Chen Wen picked up the smashed Baobab fruit, frowning: ”It’s fully ripe!”

In response, Dennis nodded, his eyes bright as he said: ”Fully ripe ones taste the best!”

Hearing Dennis’s words, Chen Wen stated speechlessly: ”The issue isn’t that; the problem is we’re camping under a fully ripe Baobab Tree. Once the wind picks up at night, won’t the fruits fall with a crash?”

Dennis was stunned, quickly realizing: ”Hiss, yes! But why did the Baobab Tree mature so early this year? According to previous years, they should ripen a month later! And normally, Baobab fruits don’t fall so easily!”

But no one could answer Dennis’s question.

The group pondered and decided to relocate their camp under a different type of tree.

Even though Dennis insisted they wouldn’t fall easily, after Xiaoyuan’s earlier disturbance, they weren’t willing to risk resting under the tree.

Otherwise, in the middle of the night, if a gust of wind similar to Xiaoyuan’s disturbance blew.

It would truly be a Baobab fruit under the Baobab Tree, a Baobab fruit falling and hurting my head!

Imagining the scenario made Chen Wen and the others resolute in their decision to move out.

They must move!

They wouldn’t give the Baobab Tree a chance to hit them!

Since they had already set up the bonfire, their workload wasn’t heavy.

They only needed to transfer the bonfire and bring their supplies under another tree.

After relocating the camp.

Dennis said: ”Now we don’t need to worry about fruit hitting our heads! But Chen Wen, do you want to eat Baobab fruit? Fully ripe Baobab fruit is a rare delicacy!”

Baobab fruit...

Of course, Chen Wen was interested in it, but he was more interested in the Baobab Tree’s attributes.

Because a Baobab Tree’s lifespan can reach about 5000 years!

If such an attribute could be released...

Chen Wen couldn’t help but smile a little.

Longevity attributes are precisely what Chen Wen needs the most right now!

He asked: ”How to get it?”

Dennis thought for a moment, and his initial excitement faded away.

Indeed, how could they pick the fruit?

After all, this Baobab Tree reached a height of twenty meters!

Moreover, the tree trunk is robust, making it extremely difficult to climb.

”Done for, just watching the ’fruit’ go by!”

Hua Yun stated with a laugh beside them.
