Chapter 574: Chapter 62: Oh, My Foolish Brother

”Who will win? Of course, Itachi.”

Bai Jue answered without thinking, his intelligence was the lowest among the few.

”Heh~ that may not be true.”

Kakuzu’s voice was different from Bai Jue’s, deep and hoarse.

”Bai Ye, who do you favor more?”

At this moment, Obito did not disguise his voice. Both Kakuzu and Bai Jue knew his identity. The previous disguise was largely to guard against Itachi.

Both Nagato and Obito were well aware of Itachi’s status as a spy. On the night of the Uchiha massacre, it was Obito and Itachi who acted together. In the Akatsuki, Nagato also took corresponding measures, teaming up the unquestionably loyal Kisame and Itachi.

While Itachi was the one commanding the team’s actions, Nagato’s true trust lay with Kisame. To be exact, apart from Konan, Kisame was the person Nagato trusted most within the Akatsuki Organization.

”Who do you favor?”

Su Xiao, holding a tablet, glanced sideways at Obito.

”Uchiha... Sasuke.”

”Oh? His strength is below Itachi’s...”

”Why don’t we make a bet? If Uchiha Sasuke wins, Itachi’s eyes will belong to me.”

Obito stopped speaking. He had long set his sight on Itachi’s eyes as they were crucial to a grand plan.

”It seems Bai Ye favors Sasuke. I favor Itachi.”

Sasuke and Itachi were fighting within an underground stronghold, and through a clone, Jue could see the situation inside.

”How’s the situation inside?”

Obito spoke up. Entering that stronghold now was dangerous—not because of the fear of being caught up in the brothers’ battle, but fearing Itachi might drag someone down with him before dying.

”The two brothers are competing in illusions, Itachi’s state is somewhat off, a draw...”

Bai Jue was at a loss for words. It’s absurd that Itachi and Sasuke’s illusion battle was a draw.

”The outcome should be determined soon.”

Just as Obito finished speaking, a roar came from afar, the roof of the underground base shattered, dust surged up, and Itachi flew out from the dust.

Mid-air, Itachi quickly made a seal, and without any visible movement, flames spurted from his mouth forming a big fireball.

The flames burned the big hole in the rooftop, and moments later, Sasuke appeared on the circular roof.

At this moment, Sasuke was shirtless, a large fleshy wing sprouted from his shoulder, and his face was full of black lines, the Curse Mark of Orochimaru.

”Finally, it’s out.”

Su Xiao grabbed a handful of popcorn from Bubu Wang, who had been waiting and was engrossed in watching the show.

The battling brothers started flaming each other with Fireball Jutsu, and flames spread high.

One of Itachi’s eyes was closed. When that eye opened, blood flowed from the socket, and black flames appeared—it was Amaterasu.

Amaterasu’s black flames clung to the Fireball Jutsu spewed by Sasuke, and actually started burning the flame.

Moments later, Sasuke’s Fireball Jutsu burned out, and Itachi’s right eye opened wide, using his gaze as a focal point, the Flame of Amaterasu started chasing Sasuke to burn him.

Seeing this, Su Xiao lost all interest and continued playing the puzzle game.

With Itachi’s current combat method, within half an hour, even if Sasuke didn’t kill him, he would exhaust himself to death.

The black flames burned most of the battlefield’s surroundings but did not affect Su Xiao, so he ignored it.

”Itachi has won.”

When Bai Jue saw Sasuke being incinerated by the Flame of Amaterasu, he had already determined the outcome between the two.

Su Xiao didn’t look up. Itachi now wasn’t fighting Sasuke but forcing someone out.

”Oh? Orochimaru’s Substitution Technique? Sasuke even learned this move. Did he devour Orochimaru?”

”No, Orochimaru is hiding inside him.”

Obito saw through the situation on the field.

”Is that so? Then the outcome between those two is uncertain; perhaps the final winner will be Orochimaru.”

Bai Jue played the role of commentator, while Bubu Wang ate popcorn and occasionally sipped cola, feeling quite content.

Su Xiao focused on holding the tablet computer, just about to clear a level when a drop of rain fell on the screen, causing a mistake, and the in-game character was almost caught by wild beasts.

Drizzling rain began to fall, and Su Xiao was puzzled as it was clear skies a few minutes ago.

When he looked up at the sky, it became clear what the situation was.

The sky was covered with dark clouds, blue arcs of lightning flickered within the clouds, and the rumbling thunder merged into a continuous noise.

”Is this... the heat current rising from Sasuke’s Fire Style just now? Could it be that he cast Fire Style towards the sky?”

This time, it was Kakuzu who acted as the commentator.

”We won’t be affected over here, right?”

Bai Jue was somewhat worried.

”No problem.”

Kakuzu glanced at Su Xiao and Obito. As long as these two were present, the battle wouldn’t spread here, and even if it did, it wouldn’t matter.

A Kylin formed of thunder appeared intermittently within the clouds. Su Xiao stared at the Thunder Kylin; if it struck him, the 400-strength energy shield would surely withstand it.

Bang!

The Thunder Kylin rushed downward, and the battlefield was engulfed in a blinding white light.

With a crackling sound, an arc of electricity flashed through the tablet in Su Xiao’s hand, and black smoke emerged.

After the thunder dissipated, Itachi lay on the ground from the battle with Sasuke, while Sasuke staggered a few steps, almost falling down, his chakra nearly exhausted, unable to use any Ninjutsu.

Su Xiao held the tablet, still with black smoke coming out of it. Bubu Wang’s popcorn fell from his mouth, and he instinctively stepped back a few steps.

”I just cleared the 796th level of the puzzle game!”

Su Xiao wasn’t upset about the tablet, though it was high-tech, it was only priced at 150 Paradise coins; he mourned the many levels already completed in the puzzle game he’d cleared halfway through.

”You brat, I’ll slice you up.”

Su Xiao stood up, startling Obito nearby.

”Bai Ye, what are you...?”

Obito clearly didn’t know what had happened.

”Calm down, Bai Ye. Don’t forget about the Hashirama Cells; this battle is also part of our transaction.

Bai Jue also spoke to persuade, seeing that Su Xiao was ready to strike Sasuke down.

Su Xiao lit a cigarette, took a deep drag.

”Forget it, considering I’m here watching.”

The gloomy sky quickly cleared up, Su Xiao’s mood improved slightly, and he looked towards the battlefield.

Itachi, lying on the ground, slowly stood up, his arm covered in burns, his gaze occasionally looking towards where Su Xiao and the others were.

”These people...”

Itachi sighed deeply. He was like a flickering candle in the wind, no longer able to deal with those people. Those three were either extremely skilled in Sword Techniques or had extremely high survival prowess, all difficult to deal with.

Glancing at Sasuke, Itachi clearly felt that Sasuke’s chakra was nearly depleted, and a cold, chilling chakra gradually appeared within Sasuke.

”Ah!!”

Sasuke knelt on one knee, the Curse Mark on his neck causing intense pain.

The Curse Mark swelled, and Sasuke knew the situation was dire—Orochimaru was emerging to devour him.

Eight giant white snakes burst out from the Curse Mark, and Sasuke nearly fainted, drooling all over.

Seeing this scene from afar, Su Xiao stood up.

Itachi’s eyes tightly shut, when those eyes opened, a pale red energy surrounded him.

The pale red energy quickly formed a huge phantom, enveloping Itachi. This was the unique ability of the Mangekyo Sharingan, Susanoo.

Itachi’s Susanoo was not to be underestimated, left hand with Yata Mirror for defense, right hand with Ten Fist Sword for sealing.

These were two ’Divine Artifacts’ from the Naruto World; both had a common trait, which targeted souls.

At this moment, Orochimaru’s Eight Branches Technique belonged to the soul form, and confronting these two artifacts, the outcome was imaginable.
