Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 551: Chapter 39: I Can’t Do It, What Should I Do?

Wind Country, desert area.

The yellow sand raged as Su Xiao and four others had already left the Sand Shinobi Village area.

The reason it was five people was that the team now included a captive and a Sand Shinobi, the Sand Shinobi being Yura, Sasori’s informant.

At this moment, Bubu Wang was carrying a half-dead Gaara, whose breathing grew weaker, and the Shukaku inside him was listless.

”This guy isn’t going to die, is he?”

Deidara reached for Gaara’s neck to check if he still had a pulse.

”Too heavy-handed, Bai Ye.”

Sasori also felt that Gaara was on the brink of death.

Su Xiao signaled Bubu Wang to stop. To be honest, he also felt Gaara might die on the way, the Core of Devour was just too ferocious.

After hesitating for a moment, Su Xiao took out a bottle of Junior Alchemy Secret Potion, which was relatively cheap and restored only a small amount of Life Value.

He didn’t know whether a potion certified by Reincarnation Paradise would be effective on story characters, so he could only try it now.

Opening the bottle of the Junior Alchemy Secret Potion, Su Xiao took out a syringe, drew the liquid into it, and administered it intravenously to Gaara, who couldn’t drink potions in his current state.

The potion entered Gaara’s body, causing him to twitch suddenly, and Su Xiao quickly grabbed his throat.

Seconds later, Gaara’s breathing stabilized a bit, not as faint as before.

”This should keep him from dying for now.”

Su Xiao discarded the syringe in his hand, proving that potions certified by Paradise were effective on story characters.

”You know medical ninjutsu?”

Deidara was somewhat surprised.

”Just a little.”

After administering the potion, the unconscious Gaara gradually awoke, tightly bound by Boundary Line, unable to resist in his weakened state.

Ignoring Gaara, Su Xiao walked over to Yura, patted him on the shoulder with a smile, and said:

”Thanks for your help infiltrating the Sand Shinobi Village.”

Upon hearing Su Xiao’s praise, Yura gave a polite smile.

”Master Bai Ye, you flatter me; it was my duty.”

”Yes, thank you for your hard work.”

As they spoke, Su Xiao’s sleeve slid out a dagger, and a white light flashed before Yura’s eyes.

Thud!

Blood splattered on the yellow sand, and Yura’s eyes widened in anger as a deep cut appeared on his throat.

Clutching his throat with his hands, blood spurted from between his fingers as he staggered, a gurgling sound coming from the wound.

”Why, why.”

Yura didn’t understand; he was obviously Sasori’s subordinate, yet this man cut his throat.

Stumbling back two steps, Yura looked to Sasori for help.

”Sasori... Lord Sasori, save me.”

But seeing Sasori, Yura was completely desperate, for Scarlet Stream Tiger remained motionless.

”His Life Energy is truly tenacious.”

Seeing that Yura wouldn’t die immediately, Su Xiao stepped forward and slashed Yura’s neck again. This time, Yura fell to the ground, twitching an egg, and collapsed.

Su Xiao took out a white cloth to wipe the blood from his hands.

There was something odd; there was no notification for Yura’s kill, which wasn’t the first time this happened as there was no notification when he killed the Sand Shinobis either.

Not only were there no kill notifications, but killing enemies didn’t earn any World Source rewards either.

Su Xiao immediately consulted Reincarnation Paradise, which provided an explanation.

[Hunter is participating in a large-scale story event (One Tail capture battle), rewards will be distributed after the event’s conclusion.]

Su Xiao understood what was happening; the capture of One Tail was a story event. He didn’t expect to catch such a fortuitous event.

Story events are rare and can rival War Tasks, with rewards issued at the end based on final accounting.

Su Xiao consulted when the story event would end as he had successfully captured One Tail, and the answer from Reincarnation Paradise was to evade all pursuers.

This time Su Xiao had a clear goal; he thought capturing Jinchuriki would suffice, but it seemed that was just the beginning.

If it had been the old Su Xiao capturing Jinchuriki, he might not have handled the current situation, but now it was different; the Blue Steel Shadow at Level 20 had undergone a qualitative change! Even if faced with Kakashi or Chiyo, he had the ability to fight them; the new ability after Blue Steel Shadow reached Level 20 complemented one of his shortcomings well.

Gaara witnessed the scene of Su Xiao killing Yura in its entirety, realizing with clarity that he wouldn’t live long; such a ruthless enemy wouldn’t give him any chance.

”The Jinchuriki has awakened.”

Deidara lazily glanced at Gaara, tired from the previous battle and injured.

”Cut off his limbs, as long as he doesn’t die.”

Sasori controlled Scarlet Stream Tiger to move forward.

”Wait, severing the limbs might kill him.”

Su Xiao stopped Sasori, and Gaara secretly sighed in relief; though unafraid to die, he didn’t want his limbs severed either.

Just feeling relieved, Gaara sensed a mild sting from his spine, followed by warmth and finally numbness.

”Now there’s no problem.”

Su Xiao discarded the syringe in his hand, having injected Gaara with anesthesia, enough to sedate a rhino.

”Where is our destination?”

Among the three, only Sasori knew the assembly location.

”River Country, Stream Valley...”

Sasori stopped mid-sentence, turning to look behind, and Su Xiao and Deidara made the same movement.

”Oh~, to withstand the Eighteen Techniques and still have the strength to pursue.”

Deidara sneered lightly, surprised by the resilience of the Sand Shinobis.

”Leave it to me, we’ll meet again in River Country afterward.”

Sasori stood his ground, while Su Xiao and Deidara turned to head out of the desert’s edge.

Su Xiao and Deidara were responsible for capturing the Jinchuriki, while Sasori covered the rear, which was agreed upon beforehand.

...

Su Xiao and Deidara continued on foot, reaching River Country a day later, waiting at a temporary base for the Akatsuki in River Country.

This temporary base was, in reality, just a cluster of large stones.

”It’s unusual for Brother Sasori to be so slow, could it be...”

Deidara suspected Sasori was dead, while Su Xiao sat on a huge rock smoking in silence.

Click, creak. The sound of hard wood rubbing came.

”Dealt with the pursuers? Looks like the Sand Shinobi Village deployed quite a lot of people.”

Su Xiao flicked the cigarette butt from his fingers; Sasori had arrived,

Scarlet Stream Tiger was now full of scars, and Akatsuki’s windbreaker was somewhat tattered.

”Sand Shinobi Village almost deployed all they had.”

Su Xiao was not surprised by this outcome; it would be odd if Sand Shinobi Village wasn’t enraged after such an incident.

”They’ll keep chasing us. We need to hurry.”

The three continued on their journey, soon blocked by a rushing river.

The riverbanks were dark red rock cliffs, with a framework of red stone on the opposite cliff, and a ”forbidden” character on the rock wall behind the framework.

Deidara and Sasori jumped down from the rock wall, standing on the water surface, while Su Xiao and Bubu Wang exchanged glances on the riverbank.

Bubu Wang’s look was clearly saying: ’Master, what now? I can swim, but walking on water isn’t possible. Wouldn’t it be embarrassing to swim across?’

Su Xiao couldn’t walk on water either; if he jumped into the water now, it would blow his cover, for there was no Chakra energy in his body.

Reincarnation Paradise could disguise his abilities, but it couldn’t eliminate things that were too obvious; he needed to think of a way himself.

A ’ninja’ capable of capturing One Tail who couldn’t walk on water was simply absurd.

Rumble.

The rock wall on the opposite bank opened up, revealing a pitch-black cave.

Su Xiao and Bubu Wang leaped simultaneously, crossing the river and landing on the flat ground before the cave, without Sasori and Deidara noticing anything unusual.
