Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 559: Chapter 47: Snake

Within the borders of the Country of Fire, several ninjas rushed through a forest.

This type of forest is very common in the Country of Fire, with more than two-thirds of its area covered by vegetation.

”Sakura, is Kakashi’s condition stable?”

The team paused in the forest to rest for a moment. There were seven people in total, precisely the two Jonin squads from Konoha supporting the Sand Ninja Village.

At this moment, Kai and Little Li were carrying a makeshift stretcher with Kakashi bound on it.

Even though Kai saved Kakashi from Su Xiao, Kakashi’s injuries were too severe. Two through-and-through knife wounds on his chest were potentially fatal, excessively depleting his chakra, and the most serious issue was those energy thorns.

Even though several hours had passed, the shadow thorns hadn’t dissipated. They were generated by combining Blue Steel Shadow Energy and Blade Aura. The Blue Steel Shadow Energy couldn’t last that long, but the Blade Aura could.

It was impossible to forcefully remove the shadow thorns from Kakashi’s body. They were like a flowering thorn, blooming inside him, with the center of the dozen or so energy thorns in his chest cavity. Unless Kakashi’s chest was opened up, they couldn’t be removed.

At this point, Kakashi had slipped into a semi-conscious state, his face pale from excessive blood loss.

”Sakura, Kakashi-sensei...”

Naruto wore a guilty expression. If he hadn’t been so reckless, Kakashi wouldn’t be in such a state.

”Sakura, Sakura!”

Naruto called out several times before Sakura snapped back to reality. If one looked closely, they could see that Sakura didn’t look well either. As a medical ninja, she had to remain calm.

”Hmm?”

”How is Kakashi-sensei?”

”Still holding on...”

Sakura didn’t continue. Kakashi might die; those energy thorns were too troublesome. Not only couldn’t they be extracted, but they also released a peculiar energy upon dissipating, continuously annihilating Kakashi’s remaining chakra.

This was a trace amount of Blue Steel Shadow Energy, which not only eradicated the chakra within Kakashi but also significantly hindered Sakura’s healing ninjutsu.

”Let’s return to Konoha as soon as possible; maybe the master can think of a way. I can only ensure Kakashi-sensei doesn’t die from excessive blood loss on the way.”

Sakura’s words made Naruto and Kai’s expressions turn grim.

”Damn it, who on earth did this to Kakashi-sensei?”

Naruto gritted his teeth audibly.

”A ninja using a Shinobi dagger named Bai Ye; other details are unknown.”

Just as Kai started speaking, Kakashi coughed dryly, and Sakura’s hands glowed green as she treated Kakashi.

”In the future, Kakashi-sensei might not be able to continue as a ninja.”

Sakura delivered this heavy news. Naruto stood there, shell-shocked as if struck by lightning. He etched a face into his mind: a man sitting on a large rock, smoking, with a long knife in hand.

The team continued on its way. If Kakashi died en route, Su Xiao would be in big trouble because Kakashi was a very important plot character.

...

In a small village in the River Country.

Su Xiao sat by a small river, drenched in sweat. He had just completed his daily training, primarily focusing on sword training.

Deidara had left long ago, taking his severed limbs to find Kakuza.

Su Xiao sat by the river, watching the rushing water and the fish swimming upstream. He pondered whether to find the violator first or to trade the Sharingan with Obito.

After weighing his options, Su Xiao decided to find the violator first.

He had an unfinished hunting mission before. Although there was no punishment for the incomplete mission, it didn’t mean there was no price to pay. He was forcibly conscripted by Reincarnation Paradise.

That experience left a profound impression on him. Unable to participate in battle directly, he could only act as a Ruler on the battlefield’s fringes, watching those idiotic Contractors turn on each other. That feeling was truly vexing.

If he hadn’t eventually brought the World Coordinates into the deep sea, he would have stayed in Parasitic Beast Derivative World forever.

Su Xiao didn’t want to experience that again, so he had to complete this hunting mission.

”Bubu.”

Su Xiao shouted. That fellow, Bubu Wang, had gone off somewhere to play. A few minutes later, Bubu Wang returned with grass leaves on his head and a terrified wildcat in his mouth.

”What are you doing with it?”

Upon hearing Su Xiao’s words, Bubu Wang released the terrified wildcat, its gaze seemingly saying: ’Master, it dared to look down on me.’

Su Xiao understood Bubu Wang’s meaning.

”It’s okay; it looks down on me too.”

Cats are strange creatures; whether you’re poor or rich, they look down on you...

Bubu Wang was somewhat dejected. After hesitating for a moment, he didn’t bite the wildcat to death. Besides looking down on other creatures, this wildcat was quite pretty, with delicate features~

”Let’s go. Do you want to court a cat or something?”

Bubu Wang raised his nose high, clearly indicating that he didn’t want it.

Su Xiao rode Bubu Wang straight towards the border of the Country of Fire, leaving the terrified wildcat behind.

After Su Xiao left, the curled-up wildcat licked its paw. The beastly bewilderment in its eyes faded, replaced by a gleam of intelligence.

”Oh? So this is a Contractor who joined the Akatsuki? His aura is utterly terrifying, nearly discovering me. I was curious earlier about how a Siberian Husky existed in the Naruto World.”

The wildcat lazily lay on the grass, its tail occasionally lifting, the picture of laziness settled in.

”Whatever, it has nothing to do with me. Since he didn’t discover me, I’ll pretend I never saw it. Such a fierce fellow is not someone to provoke.”

The wildcat’s body gradually enlarged, transforming instantly into a voluptuous woman with golden hair and beast ears.

”Ugh, I’m covered in saliva. I hate dogs.”

As she spoke, Catwoman leapt into the river. Catwoman was a Worker who, though strong, disliked fighting. Her greatest hobby was wandering the Derivative Worlds as a cat.

...

Night, near a large wooden bridge at the border of the Country of Fire.

Su Xiao yawned. He had been staking out around the Heaven and Earth Bridge for three days, having seen neither a ghostly shadow nor any trace of the violator. He was beginning to suspect the intel Black Zetsu provided was false because that guy wasn’t exactly trustworthy.

”If it’s false intel, I’ll definitely kill that old bastard.”

Su Xiao held a red apple, taking a crisp bite that released its juices in his mouth.

The night wind rustled the low trees nearby. The forest at night wasn’t silent.

Si Si~

A strange sound came, prompting Su Xiao to stop chewing and listen closely.

A snake slithered out from a short distance within the forest. Su Xiao picked up his apple and took a large bite.

”If you have the guts, come out. If not, get lost.”

Upon hearing Su Xiao, Bubu Wang, lying nearby, lifted his head and fixed his gaze on the nearby forest.

Clap, clap, clap.

The sparse sound of applause came as a figure emerged from the forest. This person wore round glasses, with grey hair tied back.

”Not bad, Master Bai Ye, to be able to detect my presence.”

Yakushi Kabuto emerged from the forest, an elusive smile on his face, his demeanor humble.

”What do you want?”

Kabuto’s presence indicated that Orochimaru was lurking nearby.

”Didn’t Master Bai Ye come to see me on behalf of Master Sasori? Though it’s a few days ahead of schedule.”

”No.”

Kabuto was somewhat surprised. Su Xiao and Sasori were on the same squad, so Kabuto’s misunderstanding was understandable.
