Chapter 1300: Chapter 1299: You Are Not Heroes

For the Avengers, finding the killer of Phantom Vision and the whereabouts of the two Infinite Gems is still their focus, but it’s not that simple. Except for learning from Strange that there is a young Asian man with great power among the opponents, they know nothing else.

But they are not completely without a plan.

According to Strange’s suggestion, Thanos’s subordinates are also looking for those two gems, and it seems that the two sides are not on the same team. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be such an absurd situation where the opponents leave and then Thanos comes running to find the gems. Therefore, Strange suggested they should monitor the spaceship of Thanos’s subordinates because if Thanos needs to find those two gems, they will definitely clash with those who are seizing the gems.

After two days of connected searches, they finally discovered traces of two spaceships on a small island in the Pacific region!

”It’s them!”

Watching the round, donut-like spaceship slowly advance, Tony clapped his hands excitedly.

”Let’s go immediately!!”

Before he even finished speaking, Iron Man’s suit appeared on Tony’s body, and then he rushed out. The others hurriedly boarded the plane to follow.

”Hurry up, hurry up, hurry up!!”

Piloting the battle armor, Tony clenched his fists, his anxious heart wishing he could rush there immediately, find the bastard who killed Vision and perhaps captured Wanda, and... avenge Vision!

However, when they arrived, the scene before them shocked everyone.

On the beach, the two gigantic donut-like spaceships had been split in half, submerged in the seawater, emitting thick smoke. Not far away, a young Asian man with black hair sat leisurely on a beach chair, sipping juice and enjoying the scenery. Beside him was a blonde girl in a green dress tinkering with a computer, seemingly indifferent to the arrival of the crowd.

”It’s him!”

Seeing the black-haired man, Strange’s expression became much more serious.

”We’d better proceed with caution!”

”Exactly.”

Upon hearing Strange’s words, Captain America nodded.

”Whoever he is, it seems that Thanos’s subordinates and their spaceships are completely finished.”

Saying this, the people on the plane exchanged glances, feeling a bit heavy-hearted. On one hand, they didn’t need to worry about these two sides being in cahoots, but on the other hand — easily wiping out two spaceships with Thanos’s subordinates on board isn’t something just anyone can do.

The group disembarked from the plane, but Fang Zheng still paid no attention to them until Tony couldn’t help but step forward.

”Hey, you, I’m talking to you!”

”What do you want?”

Hearing Tony’s words, Fang Zheng looked up, glancing at Iron Man.

”Did you steal the Time Gem? What do you want with the Infinite Gems?!”

This time, before Captain America could speak, Tony shouted out loud. And Fang Zheng merely snorted without answering.

”I’m telling you...”

”Let me handle this.”

Seeing Tony’s temper about to ignite, Captain America hurriedly stepped forward and pulled him back, preventing Tony from saying something he might regret.

He looked towards Fang Zheng and asked.

”Did you take the Time Gem?”

”That’s right.”

Fang Zheng glanced at Captain America, furrowed his brows slightly, then nodded.

”And by the way, the Soul Gem is also with me.”

”It’s really you!!”

Upon hearing this, Tony became agitated again.

”You bastard, you actually killed Vision...!!”

”Wait!”

Captain America quickly intervened again to pull Tony back.

”Where’s Wanda?”

”Wanda?”

Upon hearing Captain America’s inquiry, Fang Zheng paused, then glanced at Aika beside him who was typing code. Aika looked up at Captain America.

”The woman who was with the robot? I killed her too.”

”You bastards!!”

Upon hearing this, Tony couldn’t hold back any longer. He roared, raising his hands, and at the same time, the turrets made from nanometal technology quickly popped out from behind him, reassembling...

However, in the next moment, suddenly, Tony’s armor swiftly retracted, vanishing back into his chest in the blink of an eye. Tony remained in his attack stance, dumbfounded and unsure what to say. He couldn’t understand why his mechanical armor suddenly lost control.

”What’s wrong? Keep going?”

Fang Zheng tapped on the terminal in his hand, then stood up with his hands behind his back, squinting at Tony.

”Mr. Tony Stark? Iron Man? Weren’t you just calling out bravely? Now what? Without your Iron Armor, can’t you even let out a wail?”

”You......”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s taunt, Tony instinctively wanted to retort, but he had just opened his mouth when he felt an incredibly terrifying pressure suddenly erupt. The next moment, Tony felt as if a heavy mountain was pressing down on him, leaving him without the strength to breathe.

The rest were no better off at this moment. Black Widow and Hawkeye were trembling all over, Captain America and Dr. Banner were also in a cold sweat, Strange gritting his teeth. They widened their eyes, staring at Fang Zheng in front of them, yet couldn’t utter a single word. At this moment, they felt as if they were being watched by an ancient beast, feeling palpitations, fear, and trembling.

”Superheroes, what a grand demeanor.”

Fang Zheng walked up to them, squinting his eyes, gazing at the group in front of him.

”What’s this? Are you here to reclaim the Super gemstone?”

”Of course......”

Strange, as somewhat of a mage, was slightly stronger in resisting spiritual power than the others. At this moment, he also gritted his teeth and spoke.

”The Infinite Gem is...... a powerful and terrifying force...... Not everyone can wield it, we must protect them......”

”But they don’t belong to you.”

Fang Zheng looked at Strange and spoke calmly.

”Strictly speaking, they don’t belong to any one of you, so what right do you have to take them?”

”We are fighting for world peace......”

”It’s for America’s peace.”

Hearing Captain America’s defense, Fang Zheng sneered. Then, he sat back down, and as he did, ”Ratziel” appeared in his hand.

”I just looked at your profiles, truly eye-opening...... Superheroes...... haha, do you even deserve to be called heroes?”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng flipped a page and then looked at Captain America.

”Steve Rogers, a running dog of American imperialism, leading the Avengers to invade other countries’ territories time and again, creating chaos, disrupting law and order, supporting insurgents. Hmm, as a running dog, you’re quite loyal.”

”I fight for the American dream.”

”Your country is built on the exploitation of other countries and peoples, so your so-called American dream is the same.”

Fang Zheng said coldly, then turned his gaze to Black Widow.

”Natasha Romanoff...... a traitor, you betrayed your own country, betrayed the party, the organization, and the trust people placed in you, joined the imperialist camp, and even helped your enemies against your homeland for love. Haha, how interesting, how does it feel to be corrupted by capitalism? To achieve the happy life you wanted, you sold out your country and your people, all for love? Do you even deserve to be a spy? And living so comfortably?”

”.........”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s ridicule, Black Widow remained silent.

”You betrayed your comrades and even fought against your country; you are a disgrace. Traitors never end well, Black Widow.”

Looking at the beautiful woman in front of him, Fang Zheng sneered.

”Have you forgotten that everything you have now was given by your country, and yet, you ran off chasing a man like a bitch seeing a bone? Is his bone longer? Or harder?”

”She hasn’t done anything wrong.”

Upon hearing this, Captain America couldn’t help but speak.

”She’s fighting for freedom and justice......”

”For American freedom and justice.”

Fang Zheng interrupted Captain America again.

”Everything you do is not for all humanity but for Americans. Well, I can’t say you’re wrong, after all, you’re Americans, but unfortunately, I’m not American, so American freedom and justice have nothing to do with me, especially when American freedom and justice harm my interests.”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng extended his hand, soon holding a pitch-black Greatsword enveloped in raging flames.

”Like now, see, I came here through formal procedures, applied for a passport, passed customs, and I’ve paid enough for a vacation on this small island. And you? Did you report to the government of this country before coming here?”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng glanced at the fully armed warplane behind the group.

”I guess not, perhaps this is not an independent sovereign country, but the fifty-third state of America?”

”So what? Do you think you have the right to judge us?”

At this moment, Tony had also caught his breath, and Fang Zheng silently glanced at him.

”Oh, right, and you, Tony Stark. A representative of the capitalist class, bringing so much suffering to the world with everything you’ve created? Of course, you don’t care about these things; to you, it’s nothing more than an amusing game. Your courage and willpower are nothing more than illusions hiding behind a shell of iron......”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng raised the Greatsword, resting it against Tony’s neck, the latter gritting his teeth, keeping silent.

”I planned to kill you all, as I really don’t like you, and from my standpoint, your existence isn’t a good thing. But let’s wait, after all......”

Saying this, Fang Zheng again turned his head, looking toward the other side of the coast.

”I have another guest to welcome.”

Just then, as Fang Zheng spoke, the sea in front began to churn, and then, a spatial portal appeared out of thin air.

A towering figure slowly walked out from it, stepping onto this land.
