Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1282: Chapter 1281: A World’s Mistake

Walking the streets of Shinjuku, Fang Zheng felt rather bored.

He went to a corner park and found a quiet place to sit down, then opened the information system once again. Looking at the intel inside, Fang Zheng let out a long sigh.

He truly did not want to meddle in others’ affairs, but how could he have known that just by using ”Ratziel” to check the information on those girls with special powers, he would trigger a mission?

[Activate Mission: Trial of the Divine]

[As a deity, you will face countless trials and dangers, and now, you have encountered one of them. Resolve it, and ensure it no longer becomes your problem (Mission success reward +1, mission failure penalty +1)]

The rewards and penalties are vague, but after observing with Future Sight, Fang Zheng had to admit that if he hadn’t discovered it, it would sooner or later become his problem.

Now, he was essentially nipping the danger in the bud.

But how to do it... honestly, Fang Zheng hadn’t figured it out yet.

Gosh... why does this kind of mess always happen in the Type Moon World?

Thinking about it, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but feel a headache. You see, in the Magical Girl World, such troubles are rare, but in the Type Moon World, they seem endless, like they never run out every few days.

Of course, every world has its own different situations. The Black World, for instance, has so many broken people that Fang Zheng directly sent the Zerg to parasitize them. He is a Paladin, but a Paladin is no saint. In fact, if he followed the Main World’s Paladin rules, just killing half of the people in the Black World would be fulfilling his duties.

Just turning them into Zerg puppets was a mercy.

But troubles aside, the problems in the Black World are not serious.

Unlike the Type Moon where they frequently endanger the world.

The current issue is similar. Of course, the best way to solve this problem is to root it out. However, Fang Zheng clearly wouldn’t use such a method, considering that he is now a deity, and such lowly means are beneath him. Moreover, as a Paladin, Fang Zheng is not suited for such tactics.

It’s like traveling into a story, knowing that a bystander will become a future world-threatening boss, and then killing this seemingly insignificant bystander under the guise of world protection. Making it reasonable is one thing, but whether it can actually be justified is another.

When catching a thief, evidence is required; you can’t just say, ”I know you’re up to no good, come with me...” That’s what hooligans do, and as a deity, Fang Zheng naturally can’t play like that.

In truth, ever since becoming a deity, Fang Zheng always had the feeling that those prophecies in the cartoons, movies, or novels he used to watch, which warned believers of calamities on specific days, were mostly laziness or even deliberate. Because it proves to be these prophecies that lead to the emergence of big bosses.

It’s quite normal, really. Imagine living a happy, ordinary life, then one day, a group arrives wanting to eliminate you, claiming you’ll destroy the world in the future. If later when you gain power, you don’t havoc a bit, wouldn’t it be a disservice to the suffering you endured?

Even Fang Zheng’s mentor once warned him, prophecy spells foresee the future, but you must be wary of disrupting and influencing it. Future events are not absolute, but if they change due to certain factors, then they become absolute.

”Clack.”

While Fang Zheng was pondering, he suddenly felt something hit his toe. Fang Zheng looked down to see a ball rolling around, and not far away, a little girl was watching him nervously.

”Ah, sorry... big brother...”

”It’s okay.”

Smiling at the girl, Fang Zheng reached out, picked up the ball, and tossed it back. The girl picked it up, bowed politely to Fang Zheng, and then turned and ran back to her friends. Fang Zheng just sat on the bench, watching the little girls running and playing happily... Oh dear, am I getting old?

However, at that moment, a voice suddenly called out.

”Ayaka.”

”Ah, sister!”

Upon hearing the voice, the girl who was happily playing with her friends suddenly jumped up. She hurriedly apologized to her friends before turning around to leave in a rush. Curious, Fang Zheng watched her run towards the park exit, where a girl about twelve or thirteen was standing, looking at her.

Although the girl called her sister, Fang Zheng thought the two didn’t resemble each other much. The girl named Ayaka had black hair and looked like a typical Asian, but her supposed sister had white skin and blonde hair. Apart from their azure eyes, they had no similar features.

I wonder if there are any hidden secrets in this family.

Fang Zheng stared at the sisters, his mind racing with plotlines like, ”My daughter was born, but I’m not the father,” and at that moment, the two girls seemed to notice Fang Zheng too, as they glanced at him, and Fang Zheng waved at them.

But to Fang Zheng’s surprise, upon seeing him, the blond-haired, white-skinned girl suddenly lit up and, like a little wildcat spotting prey, dashed towards Fang Zheng.

When she reached Fang Zheng, her first words nearly made him jump out of his seat.

”Father!”

What the heck!? What kind of joke is this?!

Hearing this, Fang Zheng’s eyes widened in surprise, staring at the golden-haired girl in front of him. Heaven knows, though he had been wondering if the father of this household was wearing a green hat, that didn’t mean he was that person, living next door, or surnamed Wang. What kind of play is this?

”Uh... may I ask who you are...?”

Fang Zheng asked in surprise, looking at the blond girl. To be fair, she was very pretty, but Fang Zheng was sure he had never met her.

”Ah...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s inquiry, the blond girl stepped back a couple of steps, lifted her skirt, and gave Fang Zheng a polite curtsey.

”My name is Sajou Aika, nice to meet you, father.”

Sajou Aika?

Upon hearing the name, Fang Zheng was taken aback, and his gaze towards the blond girl changed instantly.

For a simple reason, this blond girl was exactly the target Fang Zheng was looking for here.

But who would have thought she would come to him voluntarily?

And even call him father?

What kind of act is this?
