Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 1262: Chapter 1261: Ready to Take Action

”Human, come with me!”

The Dark Elf Priest pushed open Fang Zheng’s door once again without knocking, but Fang Zheng didn’t mind.

”What’s the matter this time?”

”There’s no need for you to ask. This time, you will participate in the most noble ceremony of the First Family as the Martial Arts Master! I advise you to keep your mouth shut and not be rude!”

If it were anyone else showing such disrespect, the Dark Elf Priest would have given them a hard whipping to remind them of their status. But facing this human, she had no confidence. Not only was his strength far greater than hers, but he was also not someone who bent easily. Plus, the ceremony was about to begin, and she didn’t want any complications.

Besides...

When the Goddess descends, I want to see the expression on your face.

Thinking of this, the Dark Elf Priest chuckled inwardly, and she ’graciously’ forgave Fang Zheng’s rudeness, leading him once again to the final destination.

In the eyes of the Dark Elf Priest, this time, Fang Zheng would not make it out alive.

”Tap...tap...tap...”

Following the Dark Elf Priest, Fang Zheng walked into a secret passage in the depths of the First Family hall. However, unlike other places, this area appeared very rough. It seemed like it had just been dug out, and Fang Zheng could even see piles of rubble and dirt not far away.

Moreover, the security here was unusually—not strict.

Indeed, unlike other places, not a single Dark Elf guard was visible, which was quite unusual for the typically cautious Dark Elves. But Fang Zheng could guess that they likely didn’t want too many people to know about this place.

After walking for an unknown amount of time, under the guidance of the Dark Elf Priest, Fang Zheng finally arrived at the destination.

It was a very simple cave. Although spacious, it looked quite shabby compared to other Dark Elf places. Frankly, it seemed too ”poor” as a ceremonial site. However, Fang Zheng wasn’t concerned about that. Upon entering the cave, he immediately noticed one thing.

It was a pillar standing in the middle of the hollow.

The reason Fang Zheng noticed this pillar at first glance was simple: it was not made of stone but was entirely a metallic product. Its surface was dark yellow, looking like it was cast from bronze. Intricate and ornate patterns were engraved on it, with occasional flashes of light glimmering through the grooves.

More importantly, Fang Zheng felt the Divine Power of the Goddess of Order within.

It seemed this was the Guardian Activation Device he was searching for.

Seeing this, Fang Zheng also breathed a sigh of relief. Although he had his suspicions, up until confirmation, they were just guesses. But now, it seemed he had indeed found the main target.

Fang Zheng also sharply noticed a complex array around the pillar and various offerings placed there. Of course, these offerings had been reduced to bones, and no one knew what they once were. But this at least verified Fang Zheng’s speculation. Clearly, these Dark Elves had previously tried to do something to this pillar, which caused the Guardian Activation Device’s energy value to decrease.

In front of the pillar, Matriarch Coresa stood with her daughters, and Fang Zheng nodded to her and stood to the side, pulling up his hood. He had noticed a number of people approaching, probably the elves captured earlier.

Sure enough, not long after Fang Zheng put on his hood, a group of elves was escorted in.

Seeing these elves, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow, quickly spotting many familiar faces, with Molly, an elf he had been on good terms with, leading the way. However, now, she wore an angry expression, glaring fiercely at the Dark Elves. Not just her, but the other elves also appeared solemn.

”Hurry up!”

Behind the elves were fully armed Dark Elf soldiers. Facing them, Molly and the others had no chance of resistance, wearing only thin clothes, unable to hide weapons or make any moves, a disadvantage in their battles against the Dark Elves. Although the elves were also skilled in close combat, they didn’t poison their weapons, unlike the Dark Elves, making them relatively weaker.

Watching the elves being escorted, Fang Zheng quietly stepped back a few steps and opened his personal terminal.

”How’s the preparation going?”

”Everything’s ready, big brother. Sister Kurumi is in position, waiting for your order!”

”Indeed, Mr. Fang Zheng, I’m right here.”

At this moment, Fang Zheng heard Kurumi’s voice from his shadow, making him nod.

”And Homura?”

”I’m here.”

Homura’s voice emitted from within.

”Good, you know what to do. Wait for my signal before you act.”

While Fang Zheng conversed, Matriarch Coresa had already walked up to the metal pillar, opening her arms as she moved. Other priests immediately gathered around her, praying loudly.

”—————!”

The piercing chants echoed within the entire hollow, even making the flames flicker, while an evil, sinister odor gradually permeated the air. Then suddenly...

”Rattle-rattle-rattle...!”

Hundreds of pitch-black spiders appeared from nowhere, crawling all over the ground, quickly covering it entirely. Seeing these spiders, the elves shuddered and huddled together, trying to avoid them.

However, these spiders seemed to toy with their prey, advancing step by step, letting out ”hiss-hiss” sounds that resembled the wicked laughter of an old witch.

At this moment, Matriarch Coresa’s prayer reached its peak! Suddenly, with a ”whoosh,” the entire cave was engulfed in purple flames!

Simultaneously, Fang Zheng sharply sensed a powerful divine force descending upon the Main World!

”Kurumi! Homura!”

”Understood!”

At Fang Zheng’s call, the shadows beneath the elves suddenly shifted, and the next moment, without uttering a word, the elves seemed to fall into a Bottomless Swamp, swallowed by the shadows. Meanwhile, time came to a halt. Akemi Homura leaped from the shadows, waving her right hand. Instantly, dozens of grenades flew from her hand, freezing in mid-air.

Meanwhile, Akemi Homura returned to the shadows.

Time resumed its flow.

”What’s happening?”

The praying Matriarch Coresa and priests remained unaware, but the soldiers escorting the elves were shocked to see their captives vanish!?

What on earth happened?

Before the guards could comprehend it, they noticed strange round metal objects flying at them.

The next moment, a blinding white light erupted, filling the entire cave.
